Bombies Jungle Epiphany
submitted over 8 years ago by powerskid18

I'll start out by saying I am brand new to DIY, and this is my very first post here. Started about two weeks ago, but I jumped in headfirst and bought about 60 flavors right away. I did read the sidebar, and I know recipes are supposed to be posted in the designated thread, but I felt this was a significant enough discovery to warrant its own post. If it's against the rules, I apologize. But moving on...

One flavor that I knew I wanted to clone long before I started DIY is Jungle by Bombies. I know it receives mixed reviews, as its super fragrant, but its probably an all time top five flavor for me. I scrubbed the internet for hours trying to find someone who has attempted a clone, but it appears there are none. Because of this, I figured I would put it on low priority until I got more comfortable with DIY and felt I could make a recipe from scratch.

Fast forward to two days ago: I was mixing a Space Jam Andromeda clone that utilized TFA Pomegranate, and it immediately dawned on me that this is 100%, absolutely, positively a main ingredient in the actual Jungle recipe. It appears to supply most of that unique fragrance that I love Jungle for. With this information, I decided to try my hand at designing a recipe all on my own. Not to jerk myself off here, but I think I did an outstanding job. The recipe below is still my very first attempt with no edits, as I'm still waiting for it to steep a bit longer before making any changes. If anyone else is a big Jungle fan, please try this and give me your opinions/any changes you feel are necessary. I originally thought about adding a tiny amount of Lychee-FLV or Cactus-INW or both, but decided it might be too much for a first attempt. I'm really excited about how close this came to the real thing, and I would love to hear some positive criticism. Thanks for reading :)

Jangle:

  • 5% Pomegranate TFA (try 4 if you plan to steep at least a few days)

  • 3% Orange cream TFA (might lower to 2)

  • 2% Mango TFA (may raise to 3)

  • 1.5% Pink Guava FLV

  • 1% Dragonfruit

  • 0.5% Bergamot FA

20/80 pg/vg; 3mg nic

Bergamot was a brilliant touch. I'd also try something like 0.5% Holy Vanilla or INW Vanilla Shisha. The only notes I get from Jungle are pomegranate and liquid bubble gum (children's Amoxacilin) -- which is essentially Bergamot/Citrus/Vanillin.

Thank you! I currently have vanillin and FA vanilla tahity, do you think 0.5% vanillin would do the trick?

Is your Vanillin a 10% concentrate? If so, 0.5% would probably be a nice touch. But I'd try 0.3% (1d/10ml) at first and increase if it's not popping. Your Dragonfruit, Orange Cream, and Pink Guava are probably filling in your citrus notes admirably.

It is 10%, I'll mix that up right now. Won't be able to get a good taste of it for a while though because I just got hit with the worst cold lol

I've been doing some more research on making this clone, and I stumbled upon JF Pomegranate Orange. This immediately caught my eye, mostly because its by "jungle" flavors. But anyway, I then found this review of the flavor in which he/she says there is a strong pink bubblegum note, just like you were talking about. Just thought I'd share, because this seems almost too perfect not to work. I'm about to order a bottle and test it out.

Thanks for this, i also had a very similar experience. I love Jungle and i haven't vaped it in a while but when i Smelled TFA Pomegranate i knew that had to be one of the main ingredients due to the very distinct Jungle aroma. I tried to piece the other flavours using the description that they have on their site but it was too difficult for me.

I'll definitely give this ago!
