Hi, I am looking for a milk flavour but I don't necessarily want a creaminess or sweetness. I guess I'm looking for a sort of bitterness/saltiness. I know milk is not really "bitter" or "salty", but it has it's own taste and smell that is not "sweet".
Can anyone recommend a flavoring that might have what I am looking for? That being said, is there any flavors out there that can add a salty effect? I know FW makes a salted caramel flavor. Wondering if anyone has tried this and if it is actually salty?

Fresh Cream (FA); it will not give you saltiness but it will give you unsweetened smooth milky goodness.
fresh cream doesn't bring in a cream component though, not necessarily the "milk" that he's looking for. Its missing the "sour" component of the milk that i think he is aligning with the bitterness
Yes! It is that "sour" milk component I am after. That's what I tried to mean by saying bitter/salty. Okay so far I have heard FA Fresh Cream, TFA Dairy Milk, and TFA Malted Milk. I have all of these so I'll give them a try.
Yeah thought so, unfortunately, I do not know of a concentrate that can give you that :/ maybe adding in a SMALL amount of either a sour concentrate or citric acid would give you more of what you want with the fresh cream, dairy milk and malted milk. Good Luck!
Milk sure as shit is sweet. that's why the dairy flavors have sweetness. Adding bitter or salty notes is nowhere near a milk profile. Unless you're looking for something to mimic skim milk, which is basically watered down milk with chemicals in it, in which case you're a monster.
Milk is sweet.... the kind of sugar in it is called lactose which is a double sugar composed of galactose and glucose.
Yeah this.. Natural milk from cows that has not been altered in some way is usually pretty sweet.
I've tasted milk straight out of a cow, and it's usually much sweeter than the one you buy from the supermarket.
Also /u/eeeug try reading some flavour reviews on of all the creams and milks used in vaping, some of them bring sweeter notes, some of them are just fluffing up the mix without adding much sweetness.
Try a little saline. It can give you a salty flavor. You could even try TFA or FA Butter, maybe CAP Golden Butter. I haven't had them, but I imagine it might give a slight salty flavor. Just look around for flavors that might be more on the bitter/savory side and see what you can come up with.
Salty is going to be tough to capture in vape form because of the nature of the ingredients we use. Flavors are mostly sweet, and VG is sweet so that's inevitable.
Your best bet is FA cream fresh like someone said, TFA milk/dairy, and possibly TFA malted milk. Butter flavors are also good but I wouldn't build a recipe around butter, it's more of a final touch type of thing for me.

I actually have FW salted caramel. I don't really get a salty taste though. It's more a burnt flavor, it's also got an alcohol type smell to it. I've only used it once though, i believe I used too high a percentage though as it was one of my first recipes.
You owe it to yourself to give that one another shot! It is, for me, a nice rich, smooth caramel. I wouldn't go over 3% though.
Yea, I'll use it again. I'm pretty sure I used it with funnel cake, which sadly didn't taste how I thought. I probably put 6% salted caramel though. I also tried it in a recipe with Nona's cake, can you say Jaeger pie lol.
