OK new mixers, this is your thread to ask any questions you want of the DIY eJuice community. All posts are allowed, but we still encourage you to use the sidebar and search features before asking any questions.
- Placing your first DIY order and want to make sure you have all you need?
- Not sure about how to mix your first bottle?
- Want to get started but aren't sure how?
- Any other questions? ... then this is the thread for you. FWIW, the answers to the first three questions will eventually be found in the wiki (still in development); link at the top of the page.
Ask away!
Not a question but not making a thread. So i needed juice, and i dont got enough to buy my diy shit yet, so i had a b&m mix up two recipes i was gonna do. Mustard milk is flame as hell for being two ingredients and dutchess court is just awesome. Im glad im getting into mixing because the thought of saving like $18 on what i just purchased makes my wallet aroused.
> saving like $18 on what i just purchased makes my wallet aroused.
wait until you get bitten by the "oooooh new flavors!" bug. granted if you discount the hardware i've purchased in the last couple of months i'm STILL spending less than smoking.
Oh yeah, i dont think theres a way i could end up spending more than smoking 2 packs a day lol. Like, ive definitely surpassed it when i was vaping like a 30ml of premium juice a day, but i dont think diying could measure up in the long run at least. Even if i put how much wire and cotton costs, my math says id really have to try to break about $1.50 daily.
how do you use Pina Colada vs Pineapple and Coconut?
Been wanting to try a few recipes which have TFA pina colada as an ingredient. I don't have it and I'm about to make (another) flavor order but have a couple of questions and a comment. I understand DIY is very different from commercial juice but every pineapple (and mango) juice I've ever tried was way over the top too strong on the pineapple (or mango) flavor for me. I know I can DIY lower percentages for my tastes.
- if a recipe calls for say 4% TFA pina colada would 1% TFA pineapple and 1% TFA coconut extra (I have a couple of other coconuts if the coconut extra is the wrong way to go) roughly get me in the ballpark in terms of taste or is pina colada all together a different sort of flavor from combining pineapple and coconut?
I'm looking for more of a hint of pineapple (or mango) rather than a full on pineapple taste - should I keep pineapple (or pina colada) in the 1 - 2% range? I have the same basic questions on how to use mango.
any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
I think TFA Pina Colada is a terrible representation of an actual pina colada, but that doesn't mean it's not a good and useful ingredient. Same goes for TFA Pineapple and TFA Coconut Extra.
-
If a recipe calls for 4% TFA Pina Colada, 2% TFA Pineapple and 1% TFA Coconut Extra (that stuff is super strong) sounds about right for a ballpark, maybe add 0.15% TFA Brown Sugar if you have it; there seems to be just a bit more to Pina Colada than Pineapple and Coconut Extra and I think Brown Sugar would cover that.
-
If you're just looking for a hint of Pineapple, you should keep it in the 1 (or below) to 2% range. Even 2% could be too much, depending on what you're mixing it with. I would start at 0.75% and work up.
Which mango are you using?
thanks. I think rather than pina colada I'll use pineapple and coconut. If the taste isn't what I'm after I'll try TPA pina colada. Will start at 1% for each. I do have brown sugar so I'll try a variation with a touch of that (aside - I've tried TPA brown sugar in a couple of VC recipes and thought it added a weird taste - maybe it's better with fruits?)
I was about to place my flavor order and was going to try CAP juicy mango. Any suggestions for a good mango (and of course any good mango recipes)? At about $2.50 a bottle I'm willing to try a couple of different mango (and pineapple and coconut) flavors to see if I can get a good juice from any of them. I LOVE eating actual mango but every (commercial) mango juice I've tried to date was just too over the top strong mango flavor. I'm hoping DIY mango will do the trick. Also open to trying a couple of coconut and pineapple flavors. I have TPA pineapple and TPA coconut extra and TPA coconut candy.
I was going to mix up Mustard Plug which fizzmustard just posted on ELR.
Brown Sugar needs a bit of a steep to get rid of a weirdness and it is extremely strong, usually 0.25% or less is what should be used. How much did you put in your vanilla custard?
There's a CAP Juicy Mango now? I did not know that, the only CAP Mango I've tried is CAP Sweet Mango.
Mango, pineapple, coconut recipes you say?
I'm sure he would see this anyway, but I'll go ahead and try to summon our resident Mango and Pina Colada god, /u/ID10-T. Any advice he can offer will be worlds above what I can give in this department.
Thanks for throwing up the tropical fruit bat symbol, waffle.
I am trying to make my daily vape vanilla custard for a couple of months and i realised i am missing the rich vanilla flavor, i done a decent mix of custard cream and all i miss is the rich vanilla.. i can afford capella, the perfume apprentice, flavor art and flavor west from my local shop.. can anyone recommend me a concentrate of these brands with a rich vanilla taste to use in my base??
CAP French Vanilla might work out, or CAP Vanilla Whipped Cream. French Vanilla is much more of a rich vanilla flavor, but VWC is really really good and usable in a lot of situations, it just doesn't have as strong of a vanilla note in it IMO.
I tried tpa french vanilla but it doesnt give me the vanilla taste i wish, is cap stronger??
I have not tried TPA's but in my experience almost all bakeries/deserts from Capella are stronger/better than the competitors, besides maybe FW - but with FW I tend to worry about what makes it taste so good because they aren't known for being light on DAAP or fructose (pretty sure that's whats in Yellow Cake).
I use FA Madagascar Vanilla Classic in all my Custard recipes. I always have 5 or 6 different Custards steeping as its my goto adv and find that Madagascar sits there nicely in all of them. I can only describe it as an Ice Cream kind of Vanilla that's nice and bright.
Haven't really ventured into tobacco yet other than tfa's ry4 double for a few recipes. I'm searching for a light spicy tobacco flavor but having no luck with the website I order off of. They don't have FLV Kentucky Blend and are all out of INW Gold Ducat. Those 2 sound delicious to me..do you guys know of any others that may be similar to these 2? And I'm ordering off of diy-ejuice.com Thanks!
Alright, it was pretty slim pickins. INW French Pipe I still need to properly test, but what I've tried from it so far is pretty good. I really was hoping they'd have INW Gold for Pipe, but they didn't. INW Tobacco Symphony interests me quite a bit. I had it once a long time ago, but Bull City doesn't carry it so I haven't been able to get it in a long time. Most I remember is not hating it.
Hangsen tobaccos haven't really wowed me. They all seem to have a fruity taste to them.
FA Burley and 7 Leaves Ultimate are pretty decent.
If you're not dead set on that website, I could probably be more helpful.
Awesome thanks for taking the time to take a look for me. I already have 7 leaves ultimate in my cart to test it out, i may try samples as well of tobacco symphony and fa burley. maybe even the french pipe haha. As for the website, I live Canada and this site seems like the best one stop shop kinda thing for flavours, nicotine and VG/PG. Plus shipping is reasonable. Any chance you know of any other Canadian sites like this one?
If I have a recipe that calls for 20% flavoring but wanted to make that juice in a 90/10 instead of an 80/20, would it be as simple as cutting the flavor percentage to 10%? At least until I get some VG concentrates that is.
You could cut the flavor %s in half across the board but the result would probably taste like a very diluted version of the original. Do you or does someone you love have a problem with PG?
What's the recipe?
It's a friend of mine. He's extremely PG sensitive to the point where he says it feels like PG cuts his throat. Im pretty PG sensitive too. I can vape 70/30 a little, but not as an ADV. I get the same throat-cuttin sensation he describes, but 85/15 is probably the lowest ratio he can vape comfortably. He's been vaping 90/10 juices from Mech Sauce for the past 5 or 6 months.
http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/141851/Cinnamon%20Toast%20Crunchis the recipe. I added 2% FA Meringue and he wants it in a 1.5nic. It totals 19.5 but I just rounded up to 20 for easy maths.
That is unfortunate. I think you're going to have to look for, or develop, recipes with lower overall flavor %s and use ingredients that give you more flavor potency. INW and to a lesser degree FA flavors will be good for that.
It isn't quite as simple as that. Percentage, as an equation, is (specific ingredient in mL)/(total ingredient in mL) time one hundred.
Let's say you're making a recipe. If all the ingredients total 100 mL, and the flavorings total 20 mL, then the math would be (20mL)/(100mL)*100 = 20%.
However, if you cut the flavorings down to 10 mL, then your total is now 90 mL. Plugging 10 mL and 90 mL into our equation makes the percentage 11.11%, and not 10%. You can just add another 10 mL of flavorless ingredient to bring the total to 100 mL, and thus the flavor percentage to an even 10%
If you're using nicotine, as well, be sure to keep an eye on the math on the nicotine percentages, as well.
WHAT? I understand that there's more one way to skin a cat, but this doesn't make any logical sense. 10% is 10% no matter how you size it. You can't just change 100mL to 90mL because I'm still making 100mL. That's not how math works. Not at the school I went to at least.
Mostly yes, but sometimes you can drop a concentrate too low which alters the impression of it. And while flavors tend to keep up even when cut in half, things like mouthfeel and throat hit are easily affected. For that reason I'd favor fruity recipes over desserts. It's very much doable, but if it has to be perfect, you'll need to mix up both versions and compare.
Is there a list or directory of "shake and vape" flavors and recipes?
I'm hesitant to recommend this as I just discovered it right now but maybe other people know about the community over on /r/shakeandvape
Edit: try the search bar here in this sub first. I saw a couple of promising threads!
Here's a sneak peek of /r/ShakeAndVape using the top posts of all time!
#1: Anyone still read this sub? Lol. Thought I'd share my simple mixed berry juice.
#2: CAP sweet strawberry/TFA ShakeNVape
#3: My daily peach vape [TPA]

Hi everyone! There is a recipe: Cap Sweet Strawberry 4% Cap Cereal 27 8%
But it's very "dry" and i want to add milkiness and enhance strawberry. What can you suggest?
1 (FA) Cream Fresh
0.5 (FA) Meringue
makes an incredible sweet after-cereal-ish milk flavor. i use this 2:1 ratio kinda often.
adding 1% of CAP sweet cream could also help.
what's your goal with this recipe? I love cereal 27. honeycombs at one percentage, pops at another. kix at low percentages. delicious.
to boost the strawberry... .25% inw cactus? .15% TFA dragonfruit maybe?
Sorry for the noob question. If a recipe on ATF says to make it at 70/30, and I make it at 80/20. Will it change the recipe?
not unless it's over 20% flavorings + nic
assuming you're using pg flavoring and nic
Yes, Nude PG nic. Thank you very much!
wait, by not change the recipe i meant it will change the amount of extra pg you use. so say your normal 70/30 recipe is 13% flavors and nic, you'd add an extra 17% straight PG to bring it up to 30%.
now say you want to do that same 13% recipe but at 80/20, you'd only add an extra 7% PG
e: and make up the remaining difference with VG
If I do spill small amounts of nicotine on my work surface, what's the best way to clean it after I blot it up? Soap? I want to make sure it doesn't leave a residue behind.
Paper towels and Clorox wipes are what I always have on hand. I wouldn't recommend licking it
I like custards and baked goods n such but also wanna have some easy, fruity shake n vape options. I think for my first order ill get tfa strawberry, vanilla swirl and dulce de leche, and capella vanilla custard. I think pretty much all of these will mix decently well, correct?
When you make your first order, you want to look up highly rated recipes. Don't just blindly order flavors because they sound good to you. TFA Strawberry and CAP Vanilla Custard are definitely must haves for a first order. You just need to have recipes in mind when ordering.
I would defentiley pick out a few recipes that appeal to you and look at there ingredients. Meringue, Strawberry ripe, Sweet strawberry, bavarian cream, Vanilla bean Ice Cream, Ghraham cracker clear, Vanilla custard, dragon fruit, Hazelnut, sugar cookie, cream whipped, cotton candy are a few must have it seems like to me.
Ive got a couple recipes in mind. I dont remember the name but an apparently legendary vanilla custard is just cap vc and tfa ddl. Cap vanilla custard seems to work with everything, as does vanilla swirl. So i got the vanilla swirl to compliment the strawberry. I forgot to mention ripe strawberry as well, which seems to be another extremely versatile flavor. My theory is that i could mix these flavors in just about any configuration and have something at least kinda good.
Does anyone have a opinion on the magnetic steer plates vs steeping? We all know what steeping does but do the stir plates really speed the steep time in custards, and creams like they say?
Stir plates or any shaking is designed to do just that, shake up and mix the proponents of a mix together. There is no substitute for normal steeping time.
/u/jcmcadams08 Sorry to disappoint you but this answer is 100% correct (well in the case for stir plates for sure, read below for more details).
Magnetic stir plates are a very different thing from homogenizers and their cost is a couple of thousand difference at least (homogenizer being the more expensive obviously).
Stir plates do the job well of mixing the liquid without introducing any/or much oxygen in it. The vortex effect comes from the spinning magnet at the bottom, it doesn't have any "special sause" properties in it, except the ones listed. The other plus here is that you don't shake by hand, which is tiring after a few bottles, it's automatic.
Homogenizers on the other hand, operate very differently and they actually operate by changing the particle sizes and mixing them using centrifugal force as far as I know. I don't work in a lab so, don't take my word for the exact explanation on how homogenizers work, but believe me when I say -- magnetic stir plates DO NOT homogenise liquid.
You can invest in a heated magnetic stir plate, it's going to set you back a couple of hundred dollars probably. Even if you do that, it's just going to mix your liquid well, it is not going to replace the steeping time after the mixing is done
If homogenizers will decrease the steep time, you have to ask a more knowledgeable person that works in a lab and has experience with the stuff.
I personally just use a simple cheap milk frother (got mine from IKEA) on which I've removed the barbed wire. If I make sure the beaker or bottle I'm mixing in has enough liquid in, it introduces a minimal amount of oxygen if you're careful (you can also just mix it only for the bottom to completely eliminate the oxygen input, just as a magnetic stirrer works, but I move it around to be more effective).
Just curious. Is shaking really important/necessary when steeping? Most of the thread that i found says that it only helps to expedite the steeping time but does not really affect the flavor or taste. Will there be any difference between a fruit flavor mix not shaked and shaked?
Creating a vortex isn't shaking. I appreciate your comment but there has to be more to combining any molecule than just sitting it in a dark cabinet for four weeks. Just saying
Well that's not really what your question was. I believe what you are actually referring to are scientific homogenizers. If they are industrial grade homogenizers, then yes, it will cut down on steeping time. But regular DIYers don't have access to those (except for 1 or 2 people in this sub)
To clarify a bit, there are a few processes that MAY occur during a steep. Not all always do, but usually a few.
-
Homogenization, which just means everything mixed completely and evenly. Lab style homogenizers accomplish this by forcing the mix through an opening so small that nothing can really clump up, while also restricting the vortex as much as possible to the portion currently in the head. Homogenization will happen naturally over time as long as densities aren't too different just through entropy, hence the "shake it and forget it" philosophy. Using any other method, like a stir plate, will only reduce the time to complete homogenization slightly. Heat is the only other thing that might speed it up slightly, but has some serious negative effects that make it not worth the effort.
-
Loss of small volatiles. This occurs no matter what you do and increases with time. This is where heat can ruin a mix. Flavorings are made of volatile organic compounds with various different vapor pressures. The ones with higher vapor pressures will evaporate more easily. Heat amplifies this process. The shelf life of a mix will be greatly reduced if too much heat is applied during the steep. Even with the cap on (as it should be), small volatiles will be lost to the empty space in the bottle. Eventually, that space is dense enough with evaporated volatiles that it comes to a sort of equilibrium.
-
Interactions between volatiles. This is the one no one seems to know much about outside of secretive flavor company labs. Not a chemist so I can't say much except it sure seems like something is going on here as flavors seem to bloom after time that weren't there at first. Time (and likely heat) is the only thing that will allow this process to unfold.
Yeah I agree, but alot of scientists/ Chemist use stir plates to throughly blend certain compounds into a mixture without adding extra oxygen. I did some research on blending molecules with them with a vortex and scientists strongly belive in them. I haven't talked with anyone thats actually used one for ejuice.
So I just picked up some FA Flash. I'm down to less than 1mg/ml and I'm finding myself vaping way too much, mostly unconsciously. Pretty much every place I can find online says that 2% is the absolute max you should go without just destroying your mixes, but I'm still not feeling much throat hit at all with it... Was there a change to the formula or something that I haven't seen? Or if not, is there another alternative that's not Jalapeno?
Have you tried higher PG ratio? That can add throat hit
I'm actually trying to avoid PG, as in 50/50 mixes before it was causing problems aside from just throat hit. Guessing I'm somehow a bit sensitive to it.
Consider revisiting sometime. I just realised recently that what I originally thought was PG sensitivity was actually caused by other things. Still no conclusion for me personally, but it's worth experimenting in my opinion.
Anyways, you aren't feeling much throat hit at 2%? Try a small mix with more in, you might not be feeling it much for some reason.
Otherwise, strong menthol and pepper might increase throat hit as well.
more throat hit probably wont help you hit it less very much since its the nicotine making your body do it subconsciously in my opinion. but it may satisfy you a little more which i understand cause i like throat hit too. just have to try to ween yourself down, maybe actually do 0 mg for a few weeks then go back to 1mg if you want to kind of reset your body
what is the average percent of flavoring you want in a 30ml bottle of juice? I know that it will vary depending on what kinda of flavor you want but for example something simple like strawberry banana, would that take 5% of each flavor? (strawberry and banana)
I've made thirty mls with anywhere from 1-15% flavor totals. It really depends on the flavors you are using and the profile you want. What concentrates are you using?
I am not too sure I ordered a bunch of Flavors from Liquid Barn but all the bottle says is "Peach" or "Banana" shit like that aha I am a noob sorry
As PerennialPhilosopher said it depends on the flavorings, dilutant, and brand. If you could be more specific about what you are or plan to use we might be able to help.
If you're trying to calculate saving based on diy or such you can just ballpark on average you'll be using 1-5% of each flavor that is in a recipe. Most recipes are on average 7-15% flavoring. Divide by the number of flavors to get an average.
Most flavors start to get nasty at higher percentages... Excluding flavors intending to be one shots. Most of the time you mix one shots at around 10% or they have guidelines usually pretty comparablely high.
Is there any website or app where you can put in what flavors you have and it'll spit out possible recipes?
You can do this at e-liquid-recipes.com or alltheflavors.com
I'm looking at the websites and don't really see a way to do this. For clarification I want to put in every flavor I have and see recipes using ONLY the flavors I currently have.
I don't use those websites so I can't comment much on their functionality, but eJuice Calculator has this feature.
It only works locally though so you already need to have some reipes imported.
Yep. On ELR you click on user and click 'what can I make?' Which if you input your flavor stash will work properly. On all the flavors if you click menu you can then click 'what can I make?' Which also only works if you input your flavors. You need an account to do this on either site.
Slightly off topic this but I got some Birthday Cake by Kilo in a 75% off sale and it's sickening, way too sweet and the other flavours just get muted.
I was thinking of trying to make it a little better by adding something to balance it a bit such as FA Dark Espresso - does anyone think this will work?
Nope. Can't add anything to pre-made juices without usually ruining it. Especially ones that suck already. Unless it's an additive like Koolada
Thought as much, think I'll split it into a few 10mls and just mess around as it's not getting vaped otherwise! Here's hoping Koolada birthday cake is the next Grack Juice right?
Thanks for answering!
If the flavouring is too strong ,just leave the bottle opened for a few hours. Keep doing that a couple of days, taste in between.
When you open the bottle the flavourings will gradually start to evaporate.
Is this true even when not in open to glass dripper bottles? I sometimes leave my top caps off for whole days for ease of drip and have felt a couple slowly losing flavour...
Well depends what you mean by that, but yes, it's generally true for any flavouring/smell.
Flavours are volatile compounds, which means that they are evaporating in the air when they can reach it. Some flavours are heavier volatile, like creams and custards so they evaporate more slowly, and some are lighter volatiles, like fruits.
That's the reason when you open a mix of Strawberry Cream, you get first hit by the Strawberry and the Cream follows shortly after, the lighter volatiles reach your nose first.
If you mean you leave the top cap on your dripper bottle, but not screw it on, there is still some air entering and escaping. I can't really comment on the evaporation rates compared to a fully open bottle or fully closed, but if you're smelling it, it's evaporating slowly :)
If you're leaving your bottles open and notice a drop in flavourings over time, I would definitely recommend keeping them closed and compare results.
I wonder about sweeteners. How much to use? For example, how many ethyl maltol drops per 10ml produces a noticible difference? What other sweeteners are recommended and using how much of those is recommended? TIA.
I don't care about coils gunking up, those are easily and cheaply replaced - I just like sweet stuff. =)
If you really like sweet, get CAP Super Sweet and use it at about 1-2%
Does super sweet need an extended steep time or something? Every time I've used it higher than 3drops/30ml (~.08g) all i can taste is Splenda...
Seriously? 1% CAP SS? I have never gone over 0.25% of that stuff after one 0.5% mistake and sometimes even that is enough to ruin a recipe like a Splenda bomb went off inside it.
You can certainly make very sweet juices without sweetener.
Sweetener, especially a lot of it, is the sign of an unbalanced recipe.
Otherwise the comments below answer your questions.
I'm just starting out with mixing, so unbalanced is the name of the game right now. I'd rather try and save a dodgy batch with sweetener than flush it and the money it cost. ;)
For now, I have a great 15% Blue Cotton Candy recipe I was hoping to enhance the flavor of even more with some Ethyl Maltol, and was hoping for suggestions. =)
New to DIY, trying to quit smoking, interested primarily in tobacco flavors. Is there a secret website of brilliant tobacco recipes I can't seem to find? The one I've been looking at is e-liquid-recipes.com but that's mostly fruit and bakery.
Searching by tobacco in this sub may or may not give you what you are looking for. You can also try searching on All The Flavors as well (it's more organized and contains less bullshit)
I searched "tobacco" here and found a lot. Thanks.
Glad I could help. I'm gonna do a shout-out to u/ConcreteRiver for the Feint recipe. I think you would enjoy it. It's like a tropical swisher is partying in your mouth.
FLV Red Burley- 1.5%
FA Black Fire-.5%
FA Jamaica Rhum- .5%
TPA Coconut Candy- .75%
FLV Pineapple- 1%
INW Pineapple- 3%
Tobacco seems to be the least popular type of flavour group compared to number one sweets and custard and then followed closely by fruits..
I'm not too sure why is that, but when I was starting out smoking I didn't even want to taste anything that was supposed to be tobacco (remembering the bad taste cigarettes left me in my mouth, tobacco wasn't good tasting in my head).
This was until I tried my first good tobacco e-liquid. Now I prefer it for all day vape. Still no brilliant recipes to share, sorry for that :/
Have you tried any tobaccos already to give an idea of what you like? Do you like a leafy/ashy 'real tobacco' Or do you like more of a carmel/vanillia "tobacco"?
I'm leaning more toward the ry4 type. I liked Tribeca quite a lot, and even Dekang ry4. An ry4 with a more pronounced/complex pipe tobacco flavor would be great.
You can make a Tribeca clone that is pretty damn close to the original with just TFA RY4 Double and acetyl pyrazine from there you could add a little more of a tobacco note with something like virginia or another tobacco flavor you like. My ADV is just FA Soho @ 10%, very close to Tribeca but a little different. FA Soho can go great with vanilia/carmel, graham cracker, and a lot of other stuff too. Making a menthol mix with FA Soho tonight actually.
How do you guys keep track of all the flavors you have and how much you have of it? Also what website or app do you use for recipes?
To be honest I'm just winging it on concentrate levels. When i get low or run out I'll add it to a list to reorder.
I believe ATF tracks you concentrate levels if you mix through its recipe calculator.
I don't often have the need to track how much flavours I have left of, except glancing at the bottle and going "oh this needs changing soon".
I just wait until I run out and then order a bigger bottle next time. As for keeping track of them, I have an alphabetized google doc of flavors with brief notes on each of them. They're easy to keep track of when you don't order too many at once.
Looking to mix up some FA Menthol with FA Soho. Any recs on what %s?
I usually vape Soho alone at 10%, I'd like to maintain the SOho flavor but add a nice Menthol kick to it without overpowering it too much. I also have some FA Polar Blast that maybe I could add to cool it down even more but not lose the Soho flavor.
You should always check the manufacturer's page for recommended percentages.
I'm amazed to see that FlavourArt recommend SoHo at 20%, which is usually too high of a flavour percentage for me and in direct contrast with their usually much more concentrated flavourings.
For example my Virginia or Maxx Blend from them, only wants 1 or 2 percent in a mix.
You can also check eliquidrecipes and potentially alltheflavours to input flavours, and see what percentages are people averegally using them at.
Would be useful to import a batch of recipes for eJuice calculator as it does have that feature. Grabbing all recipes from ATF for example would be great. Anyone been able to do that?
EDIT: Happy to export/swap my list of recipes (mostly ATF/ELR) to anyone/new mixers. Save you putting them in manually.
Is there any particular reason why 120 ml ldpe dropper bottles are so hard to find? The people I mix for hate glass, they want ldpe. I tried the 120 ml chubby gorilla bottles and they're just awful. I hates the filthy filthy bottleses. I've found them at ebottles.com and dropperbottles.com, but the one site looks super shady, I'll probably wind up ordering from the latter site.
Side note: orifice reducers, anyone use these for dispensing their flavorings?
Dropperbottles.com is perfectly fine.
Most of us use flavorings that come with thin tips already on the bottles so no need for an orifice reducer unless you're looking to reduce the size of the hallway you throw your hot dog down.
I just want to be able to hold the darned thing upside down while I shove my beefy syringe up in there.
Ahhh then you need to take the advice of Mr. Cosby.
Easiest solution is to start mixing by weight and buy your flavorings from ECX, BCF or Gremlindiy etc. Those companies sell flavorings with thin tips for easy dispensing.
Or depending on the kind of bottles your flavorings are in, you could install the thin tips in them.
It seems cost effective for me to order a 70/30 vg/pg pre mixed at 6mg. So if I mix 1.5 ml of flavor extract into 8.5 ml of base I should get 10 ml of usable juice at 15% flavor concentration.
How much 100% vg should I add to get a 15% flavor solution at 80/20 overall concentration? I assume I need less Base and then add vg and keep the flavor ml the same but I'm having trouble with the math
For long term, it would be much more cost effective to buy everything separate, you'd have less math to do, and you could let an ejuice calculator do all the work for you.
My math says if I took 240 ml of base and added 140 ML of straight VG I would get my 80/20 but that will lower my nic. But by how much?
I'd guess it probably knocks it down to about 4mg/mL. Or somewhere around there.
You do what ever makes you happy, but in my opinion it's much easier to buy everything separate. You could even make your own nic base after doing that.
Didn't want to make a whole post about this so:
What are some good ways to get a brownie flavor without using any concentrates that use the word brownie. I'm thinking JF yellow cake and some kind of cookie!
I would reach for FA Cookie and something buttery, not creamy, and something vanilla. Maybe FA Cocoa for the chocolate bit?
That's a start. Maybe JF cookie? I don't have FA
So I'm in month 2 of mixing and just had a question about harshness levels. My first order was from liquid barn 100mg/ml pg base came off harsh so next order was from my nude nic and I went with 100mg/ml vg base and it's still giving me more of a throat hit then a 3% I would buy at a store but not all the time. I shake the shit out of it before I use the nic and run it under warm water briefly. Usually do that twice about ten minutes apart before use so I highly doubt that's the culprit. I'm mixing roughly 80/20 and the only pg I use comes from flavoring. So the next step I was considering taking was ordering a 48mg/ml vg nic base do you guys think this would help reduce the throat hit I haven't herd too much on this only that some people order it. Thanks for your time. Also the recipes I use are top rated ones I don't believe that is the problem either or my storage of nic. Also was gonna see how big a factor steeping is in this I just tested some that I made Friday and seemed a little better will a longer steep reduce the harshness?
No, ordering 48mg/ml will not help.
Yes, steep time will mellow to throat hit in some recipes.
I noticed the same thing when I started mixing, after gaining some experience (going to do some experimenting again soon) I think there are certain additives and flavourings in eliquids that reduce the throat hit for me personally. So I can buy two 3mg/ml liquids and they'll have greatly varying throat hit amounts.
So basically: check your flavourings, and make sure you treat your nicotine right.
Experimenting with nicotine salts (next on my list) might be a perfect solution as well.
I'm trying to get into brewing my own juice but don't have any idea where to start. Can you guys link me to places to get the materials needed and tutorials for how to make it? Thank you!
Im looking for some fresh and fruity recipes. Something refreshing. What are some recipes you would recommend? Also what are some flavors that give that fresh feel i could research on?
Misty is one I love to vape all day. I personally never put sweetener in it. It's plenty sweet without.
Flv Cantaloup .75%
Flv Mango 3.5%
Is what i've been enjoying as of late. It's got a light non dairy cream in the background because of the Flv Cantaloupe.
I still need to get me that god roll Flv Mango in my stock. I'm using 5% Cap Sweet Mango with 0.5% Ina Mango successfully but I've heard that Flv is on another level.
I've only used inw and tfa mango but flv is definitely my favorite that I've tried.
Their mango and cantaloupe are out of this world delicious. FA cantaloupe is really good an accurate but doesn't have that creamy note that makes it an all day vape for me.
Does steep time vary when mixing in different volumes of liquid? Or should I say should steep time vary? Only asking because I made a test batch of a malted strawberry milkshake in a 30ml bottle and after 2 weeks it was delicious. I decided to make a 120ml batch in the same type of bottle (plastic) and at a 2 week steep it tasted gross and totally unvapable. I mix by weight and the flavor difference is probably +/- .06g between the two. My steep techniques were the same for both batches and the nic level is the same as well. The only variable I can think of is the larger quantity of eliquid made.
Thanks.
Haven't noticed anything personally. Have you changed anything in the mixing and steeping procedure?
I haven't actually. All my mixes go into the same cabinet to steep.
Did you shake your ingredients well before mixing (nicotine and flavourings) both time?
If you did the above both times, the only thing that comes to my mind that perhaps you hadn't shaken the bigger bottle well enough and it wasn't mixed that good.
You might have to shake it harder and/or longer in a larger batch. And if you didn't maybe it would need longer. What recipe was it?
60/40 VG/PG 3mg
.5% TFA Malted Milk 4% TFA Strawberry Ripe 2% INW Strawberry Shisha 2% TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream .8% TFA Vanilla Swirl
I have a couple of recipes that call for TFA Cheesecake Graham Crust but it is realky hard to find it around here. Can I swap it with CAP NY Cheesecake and CAP Graham Cracker? If yes what % should I try if the original recipe calls for 3-5% TFA Cheesecake Graham Crust?
The short answer is no, it won't be the same as the original. At all.
The equally valid answer is, go for it. Even though it won't be the same as the original, that doesn't mean it won't taste great! Might even be better than the original recipe, who knows? I would go with 2% CAP Graham Cracker and 1% NY Cheesecake for 3% Cheesecake Graham Crust. Scale up using the same 2:1 ratio for 4 to 5% Cheesecake Graham Crust.
So I bought and a cherry-coconut flavor from the rebranded range.
Mixed at recommended 8%, tried after shaking and then after 2 weeks steep. And it tastes bad. Its really dry and tastes like these cherry blossom coconut shampoos or conditoners. Its really soapy and just makes me gag.
Any tips I could to make this flavour work. I have 30ml of this stuff. Like add some other cherry? Because the flavour itself isnt that bad, its like shredded coconut with a subtle cherry. Its just has this bad soapy taste afterwards and is extremly dry
from whose rebranded range? try it at a lower percentage
If I want to make a 120ml 1.5 mg of a strawberry and cream recipe how much of this would I need to make it 1.5mg http://www.ecigexpress.com/shop/e-liquid-e-juice/nicotine-bases-top/1mg-24mg-bases-top/1mg-unflavored-nicotine-base-select-size-11923.html
Also who has the best strawberry and cream recipe out there thanks!
Your base needs to be a greater concentration than your target. You can't make 1.5 mg juice from 1.5 mg base
I got about a hundred flavors, hundred 15ml bottles and now all my bottles have their own 1ml syringes attached to it. So I think I'm ready to go on a single-flavor testing rampage...
I planned on starting at the recommended % provided in every flavor review posted here then keep going with the rest. Any suggestions on how to approach this ?
You think I should limit myself and not attempt to taste more than say 10 flavors per day or something ?
What about accompanying drinks ? I was thinking about decaf instant-coffee and a huge glass of water.
Flavor reviews will be your best source for flavor %s. If there's not a flavor review, there are a number of other things you can try. Look on ATF at average use %s (but remember those are uses in a mix, you might want to go a little higher for single-flavor tests, maybe look at recipes using it to see how much higher you want to go above average). Ask someone who has used it in a recipe. Come back here and ask.
Limit yourself to tasting no more than you can take good notes on.
Lots of water.
Some people might suggest the opposite, so you don't wear out your palate for certain types of flavors, which makes perfect sense, but I think there's some benefit to trying out similar flavors around the same time, so you can concentrate on the differences between them in your notes.
i'm curious about a flavor that is likely gonna inspire a lot of eyerolls, but hear me out- is there a bacon flavor anywhere? cause i haven't seen one. maple bacon donut would be a real possibility if so. just wondering.
https://flavourart.com/en/store/flavors/savoury/bacon-fried-flavor/
thanks! after doing some searching on the thread it seems like the consensus is most bacon flavors are really shitty. which bums me out. might still give it a try tho.
I have a few substitution questions re: this recipe. I'll quote what the recipe calls for and under it say what I have and some of my own (with the help of others') thoughts. If you could tell me if it's a decent substitute and where I should start in terms of proportions if it is a good sub (like 1:1, 1:2, etc substitute), I'd greatly appreciate it.
> Cookie (FA).
I have CAP Sugar Cookie. From what I understand FA Cookie is a dryer and richer cookie, whereas CAP is more of a freshly baked softer cookie. ELR has the median percentage used for CAP is 3.2%, while FA Cookie is 1.5%. I'm not sure if that's a result of CAP being used in more straight up cookie recipes, while FA Cookie may be used in more juices that use cookie flavorings to accentuate, or if FA Cookie is indeed 2x stronger than CAP Sugar Cookie.
> Marshmallow (TPA)
I have FA and CAP Marshmallow. From /u/ID10-T's post in this thread: "CAP's is similar to TFA's but has a very, very light caramel or toastedness to it... FA Marshmallow tastes straight up like a Jet-Puffed Marshmallow, no toastedness." So I'm thinking my CAP Marshmallow would be the best sub. Median percentages seem to be the same, so I'd think it'd be an okay 1:1 sub.
> Graham Cracker Clear (TPA)
I have TPA Cheesecake Graham Crust. I'm not sure about this one. I get a heavy graham cracker crust from TPA's Cheesecake GC in the recipes I use and it seems to often be used in other recipes to bring out the graham cracker crust in other recipes that use other cheesecakes like CAP NY Cheesecake or LA Cheesecake, so I want to say that it'd be a fine sub but I'm just unsure. Medians are 2% for GC Clear and 3% for Cheesecake GC, so I'd think I'd need to start a little higher if I sub. But perhaps it's not even a good sub at all.
> Vanilla Custard (TPA)
I have and love CAP Vanilla Custard v1. I'm honestly not sure if I'd need another custard and bizarrely, I'm not sure if my searches are failing me or if it doesn't exist, but I'm just not finding anything comparing the two or any descriptions of both that are helpful. I feel like they'd be out there, so maybe I'm just sucking at searching. Both have a median of 3%, so this is another one I'd think would be okay at a 1:1 sub.
I'm making an order this weekend anyway, so if these are not good subs I'll be putting an order in for the flavors I need. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance y'all.
With that many subs, what you're making will not taste anything like the original recipe.
Honestly, I think it will taste better.
FA Cookie is at least two times stronger than CAP Sugar Cookie. Use twice as much or even a little more.
CAP has reformulated their Marshmallow. The old one has a really nice vanilla to it that the new one is lacking. But either old or new, CAP is going to be your best sub for TFA Marshmallow. 1:1
3% Cheesecake Graham Crust will not be a good sub for 2% Graham Cracker Clear in many recipes, but for this, I think it might be an improvement.
CAP Vanilla Custard 1:1 - this is where you're really improving on the original recipe. I think I'd cut the Cotton Candy and Sucralose in half at least, use regular Bav Cream instead of DX, and sub CAP Cinnamon Danish Swirl for the TFA Cinnamon Danish, but regardless, sounds like you're planning on shaking yourself up a tasty treat.
> With that many subs, what you're making will not taste anything like the original recipe. > Honestly, I think it will taste better.
Excellent.
I was planning on using only a drop of sucralose for each 10ml or cutting it out of the recipe altogether and seeing what I have. And yeah, I don't have DX Bavarian Cream, just have Bavarian Cream, and figured that would work well enough if not better.
I'll go with CAP Cinnamon Danish Swirl. Would you use it as a 1:1 sub?
Thanks again for your help!
Anyone mix a few single flavor testers, then mix small amounts of them together to see how it will taste?
Works as a rough indication of how well the flavors work together, just be aware that you drastically dilute them. Combine two and both are cut in half, combine five of them and each one is only 20% of the strength you mixed them at. It's not as useful as it may seem, but if you already have the single testers, you might as well use them.
I got my six RF SC flavors today -Strawberry, Pear, Apple, Blue Raz, Cinnamon toast, and condensed milk- and made some single flavor tests. I'm getting a strong chemical taste from all of them especially pear but they all have it. Mixed at 1.5% 50/50. I'm gonna let them steep and see what happens because it was literally I mixed 5 of them and tested all 5 right after.
Aside from the chemical taste - some quick notes if not for any one else I can use this comment as reference
Strawberry - a very real strawberry. I can almost feel the texture of the seeds on my tongue. Quite surprising. If that chemical taste goes maybe this will be a new big flavor. Missing the jucyiness of a real strawberry though
Apple - Green Apple for sure. Sour and tart. Possibly candy like.
Blue raz- pretty good blue raz with maybe a little cherry or something I can't figure out
Pear - honestly I can't taste much over the chemical. This one is just strong nail polish remover or paint taste to me
Cinnamon toast - cinnamon and maybe a little black licorice? Not sure but it's not quite cinnamon toast.
Haven't tested condensed milk.
FYI I am testing their mango and it's pretty good, growing on me in fact. No chemicals at all, it's really smooth!
They are alcohol based if I'm not mistaken, so they need a 2-3 week steep. That's why you're getting that chemical taste right after mixing. The alcohol has to evaporate off. Give them a few weeks and they'll be good. I'm REALLY digging the Strawberry, too. Might be my favorite. It is my favorite, but it needs to steep longer for me to make a final decision.
Would the tobacco flavor of things such as blue disposables be considered an ry4?
Is this site dead? is no one modding it? why is it that the feed had been full of new mixer questions and nothing else. And these new mixers are getting lazier and lazier "How I make juice I no read anything first walk me step by step I post more if tell me look up"
Someone wanna pm me where the real mixers are?
I believe it's a recent policy change to be less strict, look back six months and people would get into flame wars over where to post. It's not very welcoming and was giving the sub a bad rep. We'd need a whole bunch of mods or nuking bots to keep it spotless and I don't really think it's called for. See a shitpost? Hit the report button and move on. A sincere noob question that hasn't triggered the automod to respond? Direct them here. Or just ignore topics that don't pique your interest.
I agree I can easily avoid this but the reason it made it this far is after someone refers the topic to this thread It just stays there....
And I know mods are people too they have meat lives to live pressing life issues that may take there time.
But why can't they read the big green header that says "Weekly New Mixer Question Thread" .....
The mods can't really sit here 24/7 and they still remove tons of posts you never see. Some slip through the net, but I think they're doing a great job overall!
As for why, people are just excited, overeager, lazy or too used to customer service, forgetting that we have no obligation to help them. But mostly it's an honest mistake.
It's also a limitation of Reddit that newcomers can post on the front page right away. If they had to be subscribed to the sub for a month before they could start their own threads, they would have ample time to learn the rules and no excuse for shitposting.
I'm going to let the mods speak for themselves, but I feel like the attitude that it seems like you have doesn't help anything. I personally don't mind if someone asks a question in the main feed once if someone tells them the appropriate way to do it. If they keep doing it then I could see taking some action, but I'm grateful that when I made that mistake as a new mixer that I was kindly directed to the new mixers thread where I began my diy journey. So be kind to the newbies please
Edit: spelling
Edit 2: BTW I don't see you contributing any great content yourself. Stick around in this sub and you will see that this IS where the "real mixers" are. I want you to understand I don't mean this as a put down, only that you seem a little hasty in calling out the mods. AFAIK you just started about a month ago.
Man I know the reason for the Reddit to be up is to help people understand and learn mixing and I love helping out people with "legitimate" Questions.
But if you don't take time and try and learn anything for yourself why should anyone waste time trying to hand hold you through everything.
Maybe what I'm saying is that there should be a another Reddit D.I.Y. e-juice beginner or something we have a "Deeper D.I.Y." for those who have or can delve into the more complex side of things.
I don't like the Idea of keeping knowledge away from people but There was at one point discussion on the topic of mixing not just people helping people start the only thing we get that's not a "new mixer Question" is ID10-T's flavor review. The recipe thread get updated like once every few days and the comments are never helpful just "Yum I'll try that"
Start a discussion thread then! If you want more of a certain type of thing you have to do something too, not just wait around for others to do it for you! Thats what diy stands for. I also noticed you didn't mention /u/ConcreteRiver's numerous (and extremely useful) flavor reviews, or the detailed recipe posts, how about that brand new clone collaboration we all just started? Need I go on?
Ok. After tons of reading and glancing at recipes.
My question is what 10 flavors would you recommend a novice diy mixer?
As for me I like vanilla, 7 leaf ecblends for a base for fruits and menthols., like cheesecakes. I also don't want perfume type flavors. And not fond of yard candy capes. Prefers a filling vape
Trying to get a order together soon but trying to figure what I really want
Cereal vapes
So looking to get into DIY but just can't seem to find an answer to this question. When I look at flavorings I can find a cereal base but can't seem to find if the milk tone is part of the flavoring.
Basically if I order a cereal flavoring will I need a milk flavoring also or will it taste like I'm eating dry cereal? I've seen the recipe for Cereal Killa but don't know about the key lime component and other recipes I've seen don't mention a milk flavoring.
Usually cereal flavorings are dry cereal. That's why you see people adding things like FA Cream Fresh and various brands' Bavarian Cream flavors to them, as well as various Sweet Creams and other flavors.
What's your favorite type of cereal? Fruit Loops, Fruity Pebbles, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Corn Pops, Corn Flakes, Frosted Flakes?
Fiber One
Also not /u/lvl5Loki , also search function for cardboard, even better poos than /u/Boodoc. I should really eat more like you guys, even if your breakfasts are boring AF. More often than not these days it hurts like I'm giving birth.
shredded mini wheat. unfrosted.
Hey, you're not /u/lvl5Loki !
Use the search function for "cardboard," you should be able to find some flavorings that'll get you started down the right path for an unfrosted shredded mini wheat vape. Jesus, hoow boring are you, Boondoc? Bet you have some really nice, smooth poops though.
Question about cost analysis...what's the easiest way I can minimize start up cost but maximize money saved in the long run? I want to get into DIY juice but I'm in a really tight budget (which is why I want to get into DIY juice lol). I just don't have a lot of money to spend at once but I'm running low in juice at the moment and need to get into this asap. My cravings are coming back
Don't go buying a bunch of random flavors to start out when you don't have any recipes that use them. That is really the only money pit in this hobby.
This is the best deal that I have seen. All that you would need to be up and running, over a liter of finished juice.
Make the most of it by carefully researching recipes that both appeal to you and have POSITIVE feedback/reviews. Then pick your 15 flavors based on those recipes.
Welcome!
I'm looking for a really good melon combination. Any recommendations? And how much of each to use? I'm new to DIY juice so any tips help. Thank you
Notes on cap sweet strawberry RF.? Thoughts?
RF simply means Reduced Flashpoint, meaning there is reduced alcohol content for Airline shipping. The general consensus seems to be that the flavor isn't any different from the regular Cap Sweet Strawberry, and that it may just be an issue of it having less potency.
Best website to get everything needed to start making my own juice? I'm in US. I've looked at diy-ejuice.com but I'm wondering if there's any better option?
What's this white cap with a hole in it that's inside the FlavorArt 4oz bottles?
Can you upload a picture to Imgur and post it here?
sure, that white thing was inside the bottle.
http://imgur.com/a/D3LRX
Never seen that kind of bottle or cap, but I'd assume it's some kind of euro dropper.
I'm starting to come upto a lot of bbe's (best before end) and to be honest there are quite a few as I purchased a lot in my initial days of mixing and now have accumulated over 150 flavours somehow lol. What is the general consensus on bbe's? Is it a matter of keep using until they taste funky? or bin and reorder?
The Flavorart NA CEO said that the flavors are good for around 1 1/2 - 2 years , in the proper conditions ( room temp, no sunlight etc.) After that period of time give them a simple taste test, if they're far off from the original taste I'd toss them.
Common sense prevails again. Out of curiosity if I mixed all my concentrates that are coming upto the bbe now, would they stabilize in pg/vg/nic?
Given that the main reason for those dates, is that after this time you've lost a certain amount of voalitiles, I'd say that mixing them won't preserve them any longer, but in fact that you might have more incidences of flavor drop-off after a certain amount of steeping.
Even tho I have been vaping a while, never being a fan of DIY, just because it seems I suck at it for some reason. Even tho I follow recipes 100% accurately my juices seem to be weak in flavor. They smell nice, but no flavour. Not even after they are freshly mixed.
how are you mixing? by weight, volume, or drops?
It smells good when I make it, but when it's vaped and its in the air, others say it doesn't smell good.
EDIT: I mixed lemonade and a grape candy together, tastes really good, but my girlfriend said it smells bad in the air...
Some flavors are just like that. You could try covering it up by adding more flavors to the recipe. Or just vape it outside, or under a fan or something.
My girlfriend said that "all of your flavors have this smell, and I can't describe it" Any idea of what this could be? Too powerful of flavor?
Hello fellow vapers
It's been almost 5 months since I started DIY and I have the following issue.
Whenever I try to make single flavor juice (vanilla, passion fruit etc) the result is nothing like when I was buying the flavours. THe smell is fine but the taste is very strange. I don't know how to describe it properly but I get the feeling that I vape on PG alone.
So this is how I mix: First i add all the details in an online calculator (70%PG, 30%VG, 3mg Nicotine [72mg nicotine 100% VG based] and concentrates 100% PG based). When I mix I give it a good shake with a homemade shaker and let it stip for a day at max to see if the mix was successful.
The website I buy them is very good and have recipes that I can try out which are all great so far. The consentrates they sell are of a decent brand (TFA,Capella and Flavour West is what I buy). Trusting this source: https://goo.gl/fFPWz6 : I usually add 18% of flavour concentrates but the result is not what I am expecting it to be.
I am vaping on a Vaporesso Target Pro with a Geek Vape Eagle Tank. 200 Celsius degrees on a 0.2Ω SS coil.
I know it is very difficult to understand what the problem is but I don't know how to describe what I am getting from my mixing. Reading the procedure above is there something you would suggest I can do better or if there is something I am doing wrong? I am not a very frequent visitor to this subreddit so if you need any more information please let me know and I am more than happy to provide them.
What recipes are you using?
IMO that is a terrible source. Those recommended percentages wouldn't be good for 99% of the flavors I can think of.
I would recommend checking ATF and ELR. You can type in the flavor you're looking for (with ELR you'll need to sort by recipe count to find the right flavor) and it will show you the average % used. That should give you a good place to start.
Single flavors will be unlikely to give you the results you're looking for. Instead you might focus on finding recipes you can make with the flavors you have. If you go here and post your flavors and maybe a little info on what you like, someone will give you a suggestion for what you can make.
The thing is that I already tried that and most of the concentrates are missing from my collection. So I am trying to make the most out of my already existing one and then buy a new batch.
Thanks for the links btw. I am unfamiliar with the first one so am definitely checking it out
If you're using 18% for the single flavor tests, that might be your problem. Try 5%, skip the steep, just shake the bottle you mixed it in, don't use any appliances (for the sake of troubleshooting), don't add heat, do not let it breathe.
Single flavors tend to be quite bland and 200°C is kinda low, but you should still be able to taste it.
I just started making my own juice so I could be wrong, but wouldn't 70% pg be a bit unpleasant? I've been mixing 70 vg 30 pg 3nic and it's great
iirc pg helps boosting flavour where vg helps with clouds.
As a man that prefer flavour over cloud I bought a 70/30 mix to test it out. I almost run out and I was kinda thinking of trying a 40/60 to see which works better for me.
>iirc pg helps boosting flavour where vg helps with clouds.
True but pg also gives that throat hit and vg adds some sweetness. I've never personally tried 70 pg bc it just sounds harsh to me. I would at least try 50 50 to see if you like it and a adjust from there
Hi there, I am new to this group and new to DIY and LOVING IT....I wanted to get on here and ask how to make a popular ejuice but then I read on the sidebar my post would be deleted and I am wanting to follow the rules but just wondering why we cannot ask that question. Is there a place we can request recipes to popular ejuice flavors. I did a search and did not find it that is why I wanted to ask. So I want to be a team player and follow the rules I just want to understand. Thanks....Love to all...Kim
Hi, we just want things posted in the right thread, if you look at the very top of the page there are a few. The one you're looking for is The Clone Requests thread.
Hi everyone, as you could have guessed... I'm new to mixing! I have a bunch of supplies and have made a few sample juices from recipes on here and other sites, but was looking for any suggestions on what I can make with the flavors that I have. Here's the flavors I have (all TFA):
DX Sweet Cream Flavor (TFA)
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream Flavor (TFA)
Bavarian Cream Flavor (TFA)
Honeysuckle Flavor (PG) (TFA)
Lemon Lime II Flavor (TFA)
Peach (Juicy) Flavor (TFA)
Pineapple Juicy Flavor (TFA)
Strawberry (Ripe) Flavor (TFA)
Raspberry (Sweet) Flavor (TFA)
Swedish Gummy Flavor (TFA)
Vanilla Swirl Flavor (TFA)
Pomegranate Flavor (TFA)
Apple (Tart Green Apple) Flavor (TFA)
Blueberry (Wild) Flavor (TFA)
Dragonfruit Flavor (TFA)
DX Graham Cracker Flavor (TFA)
DX Marshmallow Flavor (TFA)
Pear Flavor (TFA)
Lychee Flavor (TFA)
Mango Flavor (TFA)
Koolada 10 PG-4ml
Menthol Liquid (PG) (TFA)
Smooth Flavor (TFA)
Sour Flavor (TFA)
Sweetener (TFA)
There's a "Suggest a Recipe for Me" thread specifically for that purpose. Re-post it there and someone might suggest something for you :)
You can also try entering your flavors in http://e-liquid-recipes.com/ or https://alltheflavors.com/ and pick something with good ratings from there. I'd personally suggest ATF though.
FA Forest Fruit or FA Raspberry? Looking to mix it with either TFA pomegranate or TFA Dragonfruit
Just got into DIY, and I've put together a few juices that people who I know that vape, they love em. it tastes good, but doesn't smell good when you smell the vape. but when I buy juice online, they always smell good.
Anybody else have this problem? Or does anyone know why?
What particular flavor concentrates are you using that you find others find offensive?
I'm not going to lie to you I honestly can't remember. I have that many flavours and make that many mixes that I just can't remember everything I should so everything I make just gets 6 hours breathing with the cap off then I expel the air and shake once or twice day, day 3 and after it just gets shaken a couple of times a day until it leaves my possesion.
I used to notice it in fresh mixes when I started out mixing. Try leaving the lids off for 6 hours expel the air in the bottle if its glass by gently blowing in it, if its plastic just squeeze the air out and it'll fill with fresh with clean air. I don't touch any mix until 3-4 days for most fruits, 1-2 weeks for my tobaccos and at least 6 weeks for my custards/creams. If its no better after 6 hours with the lid off do the same again but I've never needed any lids off for more than 12 hours.
So, I have been vaping a while and I missed some cereal milk vapes (not the fruit loops/berry crunch ones). The ones that you get the milk and the sweet taste from the cereals ( something like lucky charms I guess?). Does any of you have a recipe that I could use? Thanks in advance guys!
