Croissant vape
submitted over 8 years ago by Valium777

Hello guys, I would like to try and simulate a sort of croissant base, if you know what I mean I look for that delicious sweet buttery crusty taste. Do you have any idea of where I should start?

Thanks

Not quite what you're looking for but here is a recipe that had great feed back. It is inspired by the "Cronut" and although it just a croissant, it's close enough that you can use it as a guideline.

Mmm yeah there are some good ideas there, I don't know what FA Joy is though...

FA joy is a flavor that can impart a fried, yeasty flavor. Can come across as stale beer at higher % but useful for many donut and fried pastry recipes. I think it was intended to be a tobbaco additive but it brings some sweetness and fried nuance. One of my favorite uses is here

Best description of Joy: sweet, oil-fried, doughy flavor, slightly yeasty, with vanilla. It's not buttery, so that's why the recipe calls for Biscuit (INW) which helps with the flaky crust but also helps adding the buttery notes. Additionally, I think Butter (FA) or Golden Butter (CAP) will help push forward the butter profile.

Additionally, I think using Glazed Doughnut (CAP) at 0.5% will help with the dough profile. Too high and your ejuice will taste like cardboard IMO.

I just want the crust of the croissant, for the fill I already have my idea, basically if you ever have been in Italy they have the "cornetto alla crema" for breakfast. That's my goal.

Inawera Biscuit and Flavorah Sweet Dough would be my starting point.

Have you tried FLV sweet dough?

Yes, I've used at very low amounts, .25-.5%. Higher %'s it gets more crust tasting to me.

a some zeppola , a little pie crust. 0.5 of biscuit and maybe a dash of joy. You'll need some kind of butter flavor too

Check out french quarter clone on elr. It's a bienget (sp?), a fried pastry desert. It's only 4 flavors: sugar cookie, meringue, joy, and biscuit. I have gone through liters. I think it would be a great start for you

I saw that FA have a croissant flavor but I've heard that is not suitable for vape although on their site is indicated for that..any opinion?

They say that if the flavor has diacytl .. as long as it's not oil soluble should be good to go. There's a flavor page for FA croissant on ELR. and on alltheflavors.Com

Seems legit just might have DA/AP in it

It has lemon in it though. Might not be the croissant you're looking for.

Yep, taste like straight up lemon zest to me.

Very disappointing and doesn't work at all to create a croissant vape.
