I've been trying to nail this flavor for MONTHS, and I think I need to start from scratch, and get some ideas from you lovely people.
Strawberry and Banana Sundae. Of course with Whipped Cream, Maraschino Cherries, Chocolate & Caramel Drizzle, and peanuts!
This is what I'm thinking so far, any suggestions? Last bottle was at 23% and it tasted like plastic to me. Help me please!
- Double chocolate clear/chocolate
- Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
- Strawberry Ripe
- Ripe Banana
- Vanilla Swirl
- Peanut
- Whipped Cream
- Maraschino Cherry
- Caramel
I use mostly TFA, but am open to new suggestions based on the extracts/flavor idea I've got for my next batch.
That is an intense flavour profile. I can't help but gawk at 23% overall flavour% regardless of the flavours, but I've tried recipes posted here with around that and it's not dreadful.
I don't like chocolate one bit, and I refuse to even buy a concentrate to mix for friends, so I can't shed any light on that.
I do think you should start with some process before mixing it all together (too many variables).
If I were to attempt this recipe I would follow a plan like:
-Make ice cream/whipped cream base trial and error a base with: VBIC, van swirl, whipped cream, bav cream (for rich flavour), fresh cream (for clean milky flavour), or sweet cream (just sugar and milk), LA cream cheese icing (I have been using this in any milkshake or cheesecake recipe for a while because I love it so much), maybe FA meringue? I would spend the most time here.
-accent with banana/strawberry here I think something simple like banana can be a single flavour (thinking LA banana cream or TPA banana cream), and a mix of TPA strawberry to strawberry ripe at 1:2 (ie if you want 3% strawberry, use 1% strawberry to 2%ripe). Play with the overall percentage of this addition, you can likely get away with going heavy on the banana cream here. Play with the ice cream:banana/strawberry ratio until you love it.
-accent with cherry/chocolate (and caramel?). As I said, I'm no help here with the chocolate or caramel, but I would be very careful with the cherry addition because it would spoil it to my taste in a hurry. Less is more here I think!

Only thing right off the bat I can think of other than this is TFA maraschino cherry is hella potent. Just the percentage in that can throw any mix way out of whack. I found this out Verity quickly. In most mixes I don't use more than .5%, less if I am using many flavors. That alone messed me up for a bit. I have a pineapple upside down cake, first mix I threw 2% in there. First vape I tossed the mix. Literally unvapeable. I took it down to .2% through iterations and it finally stopped there. I would say possibly even look at a different cherry.
Yeah that's kind of what I assumed about cherry flavouring (I don't own any), in everything else where artificial cherry is used (thinking food/candy) it's so dominant.
I started vaping to stop chewing tobacco - and I will never forget how incredibly strong Skoal's Cherry flavour is. I can absolutely remember everything about it, and I haven't dipped in.. 3+ years?
I think you need to remove a ton of those flavors and just focus on what's going to taste prominent.
Think of it like mixing colors together. If you mix 2-3 primaries you get a nice secondary color. But if you mix 10 colors together you are always going to get shit brown.

Try strawberry by FA and TFA, Banana by FW will be your best choice used at 4%, chocolate should be INW milk chocolate(there's def a better choice out there) and caramel could either be FW butterscotch ripple (almost has a taste of icecream) or FA Caramel or a mix would work good. I only have INW Cherry and I don't use in my straw banana smothee/sundae so can't say how that would work. TFA whipped cream is def a good choice and for peanuts... I'm not too sure I don't have any nut concentrate except FW Hazelnut. So I would do 3% FA Strawberry 5% TFA Strawberry 1% INW Cherry 4% FW Banana (could add LA Banana cream) 1% INW Milk Chocolate 1% FA Caramel 1or2% TFA Whipped Cream 4% TFA VBIC (maybe CAP?) sorry for shit formatting I ask for help and nobody gives me any :(

Cannot give any better advice than /u/Flanker6or7 did. When it comes to complex recipes with lots of flavor aspects the best thing to do is start at the simplest place (the ice cream base) and make it more complex from there.
Whenever I try to start a complex recipe with all ingredients right off the bat I find it too difficult to fine tune. Much easier to start simple and add in complexity as you go, at least for me.
Dude I like the gusto but I think this flavor is all over the place.
Is it a chocolate vanilla or a strawberry vape man the flavors are fighting and I don't see a clear winner
