Capella Greek yogurt
submitted over 8 years ago by SynysterjesterxPâtissier

Setup Wismec neutron rda. 3x28g 316l claptons wrapped with 40g ni80. 5 wrap, 0.17 ohm.

Cap Greek yogurt, 5% max VG. Aged 2 weeks.

Main notes

  • Tangy
  • Dry
  • Sour
  • Light cream
  • Tart

Off notes Very very dry. It adds a strange mouthfeel, akin to dry cotton.

Thoughts
It's a Decent yogurt flavor, with help. Using other creams and yogurts can bring this to life. It adds a wonderful tang to your yogurt mixes at lower percentages. It's also versatile with adding needed tang to other flavors.

Final Thoughts It's a decent flavor, however it's highly specialized. Stick to TPA Greek unless you need the extra tang of CAP.

Hmm, I didn't get much tang from this one, just a creamy sort of base with a medium-light butyric note. From smell alone I would imagine TFA would be tangier due to the heavy butyric note (and going off experience with FA Yogurt).

It's so funny how tastes are different. Tpa Greek is more like yoplay to me.

Have you tried FW Yogurt? That one to me is the closest to like a commercial yogurt

Not yet. It's currently on a truck 2 cities over. I've heard Fw is great.

What's the lowest percent you would go with it for tang and the highest percent you would go?

0.75 and it should be present. Doesn't take over a mix until around 2%

Thank you! I've had CAP Greek Yogurt for a whiiiiile and I haven't fully figured out how to use it. Just one of those flavors that I run into a wall with 4 or 5 times then I just stop using it.

I'll have to see what I can do with it now! Thank you.

No problem. A bit of sucralose can help with dryness in this flavor.

What would you add to make this feel moist? A little bit of cactus with other fruit aditives? I havent gotten my hands dirty into yogurts yet...

A tiny bit of sweetener I feel is necessary for this flavor.

This actually pairs really well 1:1 with CAP Creamy Yogurt to give it more creaminess but retaining the tang of Greek Yogurt.

I also find it pairs really well with CAP bavarian cream. A bit sweeter than with creamy yogurt, but a damn tasty tangy/creamy combo to use as a base
