- Setup: Velocity 24 gauge twisted Nichrome & Kanthal Half Wick @50 Watts
- Testing: (TPA) Brown Sugar Extra @ .5%. Max VG, steeped 7 days.
- Caution: Note: This flavor contains 'custard' ingredients: Acetoin & Acetyl Propionyl
- Flavor Description: This flavor is somewhere in the brown sugar area, but not in a scooped-out-of-the-package kind of way, but more like a heated-with-a-blowtorch kind of way. This may be because of it being something that is originally made for food so it is not used to being heated up the way it is in vaping.
- Off-flavors: It kind of has a caramel-y taste. It is also slightly burnt, especially at higher temps. IF you go any higher than 2% it will start to taste like a campfire, and not in a good way.
- **Throat Hit:**2/10
- Uses & Pairings: This will always find a way into bakery type flavors. Pies, Cakes, and Very Bright and Very Dark fruits. It could be good in Flambe recipes like Bananas Foster, Cherries Jubilee, or Christmas Pudding.
- Notes: The problem with this flavor is that you may want to add just a hint of brown sugar and reach for this flavor, but it is not light enough to be brown sugar. Like I said before it is more of a burnt caramel than it is brown sugar. With that being said I think it does have its place in mixing and if you are expecting to mix up other peoples recipes, you better grab this one up, however a 10ml will keep you satisfied for a while.

Seen 26 comments, thought for sure there was in depth talk about tfa - brown sugar.. Now, I'm just disappointed.. :(
do you not have tfa brown sugar?
It's super delicious, tastes like brown sugar, easier on my wicks than sweetener while supplying roughly the same effect. I use it in the sub 1% range
It contains furfural (sp?) and furfuryl alcohol as well as acetoin/acetyl propyniol i believe. In higher concentrations those chemicals may cause respiratory damage in mice or rats idk. Im not trying to fear monger bc if we look a lot of chemicals we use and their msds for inhaling the concentrated form ..... they also dont look great. However dose may make the poison, and some may have a cumulative effect. Your call.
If you do have this or already know this than pls disregard and maybe someone else will find it useful
heres the msds

I still don't use it; Never did make any headway with looking into it further -- distractions and A.D.D.
I noticed a similar feeling with a recent mix, but I'm unsure what it is that could be causing it. Might end up having to go into research mode again... It's always few and far between when this happens, but seems to only happen when I venture outside of my typical RY4 ADVs and/or single flavor testers. I really wish I could lock down what's causing it so I know what to avoid... I really hate mixing something I like only to find myself having to toss it because of how it makes me feel...
I wish the videos were shorter and not recorded via a potato. Can't imagine people want to sift through 50 minutes of Google Hangout to learn how to mix Caramel pound cake. Just my .2
Well that was my video podcast for Monday so it was about 50 minutes long. If you had been following me for any amount of time you would know that I have been trying to get my other web cam to work so I didn't have to deal with the bad graphics which I have said multiple times to the people who watch my Video Podcasts. Thank you for the "advice" but honestly since you have first spoken to me you have come off as a huge asshole.
> Some people like the long format. I really enjoy the inthemix podcast. I could listen to it for twice the 2 hour average run time. The hosts are entertaining enough and they sometimes even talk about mixing. I know some people really hate this though and prefer short to the point content. I do to sometimes depending on my mood. Sometimes i just want some info and sometimes i want some background company while i do other things. So i think complaints about the length although entitled be to said are unfair because it's preference and podcast style content traditionally has some length to it like a show. > I listen to cloudstate like i listen to all the shows on the DIYORDIE network, im glad to see some woman reping the DIY. If i were to offer some constructive criticism it would be that the show needs to be a bit more interesting and focused. I mean this with no malice but i find your girlfriends lack of engagement very frustrating. You gotta have some personality going on in a show or some really interesting information. Inthemix is all over the place and hardly talks about anything constructive but it's engaging because you have multiple personalities that bounce of each other well and bring something to the table. And im not brown nosing the DIYORDIE crew i don't think they are infallible but they have a good chemistry between them even if it wont appeal to everyone. > Whenever you try to talk to your girlfriend about a topic or article you were reading she just replies, "what i hasn't listening", "huh, i dunno". It's really frustrating and disappointing if the show is you and your girlfriend i expect her to be contributing more and helping you carry the conversation otherwise just do the show yourself like mr hardwicks or get a co host you have good chemistry with who is as passionate about the show as you. This isn't me trying to be mean. But i feel the need to say this only because i feel let down by her lack of interest or help. I feel like it's letting you down and i want to see the show do well. God what a novel, anyway as i said there is no malice intended by what i say just what i think is a valid criticism. Good luck with your show look forward to more of it.
I don't care what you think. You should if you're planning to take this seriously. Good to know your ego got so inflated in a matter of months. God forbid anyone make any comments about the quality of videos otherwise they end up being called big assholes too right?
~~Why would you expect someone to be intimately familiar with your videos? That's a rather large assumption.~~ It's more unfair to assume a certain quality out of someone, especially if that quality is directly coming from a product only acquired from the user. I take it back.
~~Your videos shouldn't be 50 minutes long. That's called a twitch stream.~~
For the video quality just get some better lighting. The darker and more unevenly a video image is lit the harder the camera has to work and it ends up looking terrible.
I know another group of YouTube people that need to listen to this feedback.
If you're referring to DIYORDIE, the podcasts have always been there so it's whatever. The quality of the videos Wayne churns out are pretty crisp though.
