Hola all,
So for months I've been trying to clone this, and Mountain Top, to varying degrees of disgust in menthol. I think this recipe comes pretty close to the original. Try it out if you want some creamy apple goodness in your vape!
TPA Apple .75%
TPA Bavarian Cream 3.5%
FA Cream Fresh 2%
FA Fuji 3%
TPA Pear 1.25%
It is meant to be a sweet, with a bite, airy vape. Initially I only knew that Fuji was in it, I went through about 10 or so creams trying to find one that would just impart light/fluffy, and not really dull down the sweet TOO much. I read a few times about 3-1 on Fuji/Pear. The combination works out very well, but the regular TPA Apple helped add a more balanced apple flavor and kill out the watery-ness that both fuji/pear impart, and kill the cream with.
Fuji+Pear+Apple! I really love/hate TPA Apple. It has done nothing but taste bad until I put it with Pear and Fuji. Normally it is very peel, and skin heavy, with a full taste, the kind of heavy that doesn't usually play well with cream. Just on impulse I decided to throw a matching % of Apple-Pear in with my 3-1 typical Fuji cut, and it was meh. A few days later though it tasted very solid, way too harsh, but for the first time I needed to dull flavors, instead of brightening it up. It makes that watery, more into a cider taste, gives it more punch, a lot more.
Enter Cream Fresh+Bavarian Holy shit Cream Fresh is amazing. It's like the vape version of adding whip cream on a dessert. While Bavarian Cream holds the sweetness together, it doesn't mellow one bit. Cream Fresh just tells everyone to shut the fuck up, sit down, and relax. It holds everything together, and I do mean everything. The peel of Apple is now way off to the back, you get a full sweet-juicy-tart-cream, with no extra water/linger in your typical Fuji/Pear combo. The way Cream Fresh+Bavarian stays sweet, and doesn't try to impart a heavy note, instead just dulling the already heavy fruit notes, is amazing. The cider-like taste is super mellow after some Cream Fresh, everything after a few days seems blended and a bigger part of a unit, instead of fighting for the top note.
You CAN S/V it, but I suggest giving it 2 days at LEAST IMO, just to calm the fuck down and blend. Personally I give mine 3-4 days.
Let me know what you guys think, if you have tried the original I would love to hear how it goes up against.
