Think you'll have a hard time finding many people who have 10 mixes always made up.

Part of the DIY addiction is never settling lol.

Exactly, even my favorite recipes I lag on mixing up just to try new things. Usually have at max 3-4 things steeping for consumption and never more than 50mls or so of each

This is me in a nutshell. As long as I have something to vape, everything is always a tweak, an iteration, an experiment. Even when I perfect a recipe, I grow tired of it after a while and never go back to it.

I've had many perfect recipes, then perfect iterations and then perfect permutations. I think I just don't understand the word perfect, tbh.

care to share that Champagne Gummy Bears Recipe ?

1 points

by grownyetiover 8 years ago

Hey, its just TFA Champagne and TFA Gummy Candy. You can vary the amounts to your liking but I would say start somewhere around 4-5% Champagne and 8-9% Gummy Candy. Too much Champagne and it will start to taste like white grapes/bum wine. Too much gummy and well it will taste like gummy. Still trying to balance this recipe abit. Can add sweetener and a raspberyy note too.

I make 3 flavours constantly, and then usually experiment with an additional flavour at a time. My go to juices are Green Apple, Strawberry Milkshake and Pomegranate Blueberry. Right now I am experimenting with Blueberries N Cream.

2 points

by xlanonover 8 years ago

I too always have some blueberry pomegranate steeping :3

3 points

by xMoose499over 8 years ago

Yeah, I'm going to give Real Flavours a try. Seems like most of there stuff is intricate concentrates made for single flavour mixes. They have a Blueberry Pomegranate Acai that sounds tasty. Will let you know how it compares to my usual blend of Blueberry Extra (4%) mixed with Pomegranate Deluxe (3%). Let me know your recipe!

1 points

by coop34over 8 years ago

Just throwin' this out there. RF Mixed Berries is really good. It doesn't have the slight harshness that most of their line does.

1 points

by xlanonover 8 years ago

I use 5% tfa blueberry and 2% tfa pomegranate

3 points

by zytukinover 8 years ago

I don't have 10. lol

But 3 I always mix when mixing are French Vanilla, Vanilla Ice Cream, and Lemonade.

My 3 adv's are (top3):

  1. Mother of Dragons Milk
  2. Mega Melon Clone
  3. Blueberries n' Cream

The recipes i enjoy occasionaly are:

Simple Sugar Cookie, Kreed's Custard and my very own Apple Yoghurt. (Might release soon since yoghurt vapes are not common in this sub.)

I'm still tinkering with it sometimes, I'll be sure to post full flavor notes when I eventually post it to alltheflavors.

1 points

by Civinskoover 8 years ago

Thank you, that looks pretty good!

I was hoping it was TFA's Passion Fruit to be honest. I'm trying but can't get it to work properly, really floral flavor.

2 points

by mlNikonover 8 years ago

wow that is so much hangsen fvic? how is that not buttery hell?

1 points

by shyndoover 8 years ago

Haha yeah it looks a bit high, but for some reason it works. It neutralizes the harshness of the passionfruit and transforms it into a creamy but still acidic flavor, and at the same time the passion fruit neutralizes a lot of the waxiness or over butteryness you might get. That said, I am somewhat of a light taster when it comes to custards so you may turn this down at personal preference

1 points

by grownyetiover 8 years ago

I like the sound of that passion fruit baked Alaska and the melon eucalyptus palette cleanser!

Rhodonite

Misty

Vicious vanilla

Cliche

I don't have them always handy, but those are ones I always find myself going back to mix.

1 points

by grownyetiover 8 years ago

How would you describe the vicious vanilla^ Just ordered what im missing to make it.

2 points

by capita76over 8 years ago

Smooth vanilla custard, but with a hint of spice. Not overly sweet. Ideal adv for me. I think the Catalan cream is essential. Longer it steeps the better.

1 points

by MrBurgundy314over 8 years ago

Vicious Vanilla is one I've always got on hand. There's ~120ml sitting next to me that's a couple months old, and 500 more in a cabinet waiting for May. Such a delicious and unique custard. That Catalan Cream has never worked so perfectly in a recipe.

I don't really mix up a lot of recipes I find. On occasion I will try one when trying to figure out how to use a flavor, but mostly just my own. Mostly it's these two:

Roaring 20's

Hollywood Calls

  1. Zebra Cake
  2. Beetlejuice
  3. TNT Time Bomb Ice
  4. Krispy Kreme Doughnut
  5. Mountain Blast (MT Dew)
  6. Pitch Black (Mt Dew)
  7. White Lotus (Way of the Dragon)
  8. Frosted Flakes
  9. Kryptonite/Thug Juice
  10. Skittles

I usually have at least one bottle steeping of these, somewhere in my house.

2 points

2 points

by ijack2redditover 8 years agoOne of "The Damned"

After 2+ years I have something like 200 flavors now, but not much time to mess with all of them so I really only keep like 3 juices on hand. Typically-

*Some variation of Mustard Milk

*Skiddlz's serially easy cereal

*And recently a 4% mix of INW Lemon Cake cuz that shit is chronic as a shake and vape

2 points

by ijack2redditover 8 years agoOne of "The Damned"

I also can't format worth a damn

Was about to make a lemon cake standalone, sounds refreshing as a flavor!

Highly recommend. I only wish I knew about this flavor earlier

by grownyetiover 8 years ago

Just made a standalone INW lemon cake, its fantastic! accurate flavor and not overwhelming. Goes really nice while sipping tea.

1 points

by mysticrosellover 8 years agoDiketones, Schmiketones

Wow...most people kept telling me what a disappointment the INW lemon cake was and that it was very grainy even under 2%. I might just have to try it after all :)

2 points

by DIYdoofusover 8 years agoDiketones, Schmiketones

I've made a couple purchases from Poland. I always have the Lemon Cake on the list, but it hasn't made the cut yet. Maybe next time (even the Cubs eventually came through on that phrase).

1 points

by mlNikonover 8 years ago

fa pandoro is a very good lemon cake imo.

1 points

by mysticrosellover 8 years agoDiketones, Schmiketones

Pandoro is the worst flavor I have tasted to date. Chemical nastiness. Another one of those love 'em or hate them flavors ;)

I almost always have some mustard milk and some prairie around. I always try different things, but wind up circling back to these two. Something so great about the simplicity of mustard milk and the complexity of prairie

What's in the prairie recipe? Is that the banana bread minty cereal Polar bear?

I enjoyed reading your post about this and making creambone, was pleasantly delighted by the Ube Custard! The creambone base is so rich and decadent. I noticed the taro flavor fade slightly after a few days. It seemed more prominent right after mixing. I think I will up th the diluted taro to 2%!

I'm working on a clone of my favorite juice, so a bottle of that is always nearby.

Best Damn Pink Lemonade. I keep 3-5 of these made up. My brother and girlfriend both really like this flavor, so these bottles tend to grow legs. I like it too, and I vape this 2 days a week to break up my flavor profiles.

I'm working on a strawberry watermelon as well. I almost always have 3-5 bottles of it mixed up. These also grow legs.

My bookshelf has probably 50 bottles of juice on it right now. I've got ~10-15 bottles of premium juice, another ~15 bottles of juice I've made that's ready to vape, and then ~10-15 bottles that are steeping or are 10 ml flavor samples.

2 points

by grownyetiover 8 years ago

Nice! That's kindof how it's going for me too. I got 10 dripper bottles of of my favourite picks ready, with a double of each steeping ahead of time so that they will be ready by the time I run out of something. At the same time I have about 15 micro batches 5-8ml of recipes I've come across online to taste and about 5 original recipes in the same size that I'm trying to create. Im also working on an adv of a favorite juice of mine from a local store.

1 points

by Predator6over 8 years ago

I looked when I got home.

12 premium juices from various vendors that I or my girlfriend picked up for me.

17 bottles that are ready. These include shake and vape bottles and stuff that I think reached a good point in its steep.

10 bottles that are steeping.

6 single flavor testers.

3 partially vaped bottles.

48 bottles. I should open a store. I'll be down several on Friday. I've got 4 that are ready for my girlfriend, and 6 that are ready for my brother. I'll finish the open bottles this week or early next week too.
