Liquid Barn flavors irritating throat/lungs?
submitted over 8 years ago by eloc49

I love Liquid Barn's flavor a lot (especially Cherry Blossom Tea), but every time I make something with their flavors, there seems to be a lot of throat hit and I end up coughing. I'm making 70/30 vg/pg, letting them steep for 2 weeks, and this never happens using CAP or TFA flavors. Anyone else?

I use Liquid Barn flavors a lot. Like another commenter noted, they sometimes use ethyl alcohol in their flavors. This contributes to throat hit.

Otherwise, no, there is no reason there should be an abnormally strong throat hit.

I dunno about liquid barn specifically. But i have a lot of FA, TFA, CAP and loraan's. I noticed that for the last several months i've been getting constant sharp little chest pains in random spots throughout my chest. Like little needles pricking me.

Needless to say i've stop vaping and i still get the pains just not as much. It has had me very worried.

that could be muscle related that happens to me sometimes. i would still see a doctor, but i wouldn't freak out. it's probably not related to vaping.

Yes probably. And some magnesium might fix it.

Yea, I think I know what you're talking about with the Cherry Blossom Tea. It doesn't bother me, I actually sometimes prefer it. But yea, there is a bit more of a throat hit. I think I notice this the most with the flavors that contain ethyl alcohol. Not a scientific answer, but I think thats what it is.

Whats weird is the Cherry Blossom Tea is the only one I haven't had it happen with. The Strawberry Cheesecake is the worst offender. Western Tobacco does a little too.

They're VG based aren't they? Are you shaking them enough?

Not shaking them at all? They don't look viscous enough to be VG, but who knows.

Always shake your liquid. No matter the PG/VG ratio:)

I always shake all my flavorings regardless. It looks like only some of LB's flavorings are VG based.
