I'm relatively new to diy mixing, and I've skimmed through the side bar but didn't see anything about this. Anyway, I've been buying VG in 120 mL bottles from Wizard Labs. It never occurred to me to buy VG from Amazon. I just got a liter for $10 and free shipping compared to WL's $9 flat shipping. So if you're starting out, look for USP Vegetable Glycerin on amazon, I wish I knew this a few months ago.
If this post belongs somewhere else or if its a duplicate feel free to call me out, I just wanted to give the newcomers a heads-up.
>1 liter
Oh sweet summer child.
I laughed at this way harder than I meant to.
Heh, yeah, same here. Then I had to explain to my wife. Then I had to listen to how it wasn't that funny.
You can get 4 gallons for 40 bucks here..>
probably the same seller.
http://www.essentialdepot.com/category/VG-GLYCUBE.html
yeah essential depot sells on amazon...they charge a couple extra dollars on there but you get the free shipping if your a prime member...the free shipping makes up a ton of the price...
Glycube isn't on prime unfortunately, and buying 4 of the single gallons is like $95, $65 for the cube if you pay for shipping :/
Yeah, even with $23 shipping, that's still only $62. A single gallon is $23 on Amazon. It'd cost $92 to get the same amount shipped from Amazon. I'm currently trying to figure out where the hell I would put 4gal of VG...
Not even where to put it, but ffs, are we even going to be vaping long enough to use 4 gallons? I'd rather have a fresh gallon Everytime vs some 2-3 year old junk that's been sitting in my garage.
If you want larger quantities, I personally prefer [bulk apothecary's] (http://www.bulkapothecary.com/raw-ingredients/other-ingredients-and-chemicals/glycerin/) myself. It lacks the unpleasant soapy flavor some glycerol has and is overall quite pleasant.
How does their PG taste? I feel like essential depot's pg is really bitter...
Not sure offhand. I have some of it, but I run pure VG myself. I can check later today and get back to you.
/u/McTouchButt Just tried it pure on a fresh wick. I didn't find it terribly flavorful on its own, and definitely not bitter, though it's harsh as hell to someone used to pure VG. My girlfriend finds it bitter, but she also finds a lot of strange things bitter, like seltzer water.
seems more expensive especialy with the 20 dollar shipping. is soy or palm? couldn't find the answer on their site
I am with you on the Amazon, just got a gallon of VG for $23 from essentialdepot. Then I found out the place I get my flavors from, NicotineRiver, sells a gallon for $13!
www.bulkapothecary.com can get you a gallon of VG delivered for about $20, and around $60-70 for a 5 gallon bucket. With coupon code "savings10" you get 10% off. They constantly have sales on most of their other products as well.
shipping brings it up to almost $30. it was wonderful when they still offered free shipping though
