Update on the release of the now out of business Nicoticket recipes
submitted over 8 years ago by mayor-of-whoreisland

This is from their ECF forum:

"With regard to the recipes, the deal was IF I cleared out ALL my inventory THEN I would post some of my recipes. We fell waaaay short - I put 15000 bottles in a dumpster. I can officially say I have thrown away more liquid than several people could vape in a lifetime. /sigh I'll probably post some recipes anyway - still haven't decided.

All in all, very proud of our run. We lasted a few days longer than Provari (RIP). 3.5+ years! By any measure, Nicoticket was a huge success and YOU played a huge part in that."

I think the guys attitude stinks , he has made an absolute killing over the last half a decade and it's all because of people like us who supported him .

Now he is mulling over whether he will release a select few recipes , give me a fucking break . What an ungrateful son of a bitch .

I rarely ever curse so you know i'm really disgusted .

you'd be surprised at the amount of money proven high selling recipes go for. INSANE

Yes, i understand that but he has said he already sold the rights to a few recipes but had plans of releasing the rest to the public.

People have supported them loyally for years and their prices were not cheap . Give a little back for Gods sake .

Looking back at the history of this company, I'm not sure I believe anything they say. It's a shame they went under, but then again, I'm not surprised given how they treated their supporters.

Are you really surprised? He used the bait of releasing recipes, except those people really wanted, to try to sell out his stock. Was never going to release them. Oh well.

Tried Nicoticket long time ago, wasn't my thing, moved on, don't care. Reading on ECF what's funny to me anyway is the poor little rich me owner whine session https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/threads/when-it-all-goes-down.764017/page-13#post-19001415 Ok you admitted to making millions of dollars in 3 years by selling .25 cents worth of something for $20-$30 a bottle and while liquidating you threw 15K bottles in the trash instead of giving them to some homeless vapers or vets or something.

IDK stop being such a whiny fuck, enjoy your money, give your recipes to your fanbase who seem to love them and made you rich in the first place? Doesn't seem that complex.

I know the industry is tanking and all but a lot of the juice vendors are very hard to sympathize with. Woe is me, I can't keep making juice without my 3000% profit margin per bottle!

He's a cunt. Look at what he said when someone called him out for throwing bottles at peoples' heads during an advocacy speech:

> This is part true. I wasn't drunk, but I was impaired :) And, I threw bottles into a crowd, not at peoples heads. Yes, I was chucking the SOBs. NO, it was NOT during Greg Conley's advocacy speech, it was while Cory (douche) from Boosted. Dude was up on stage promising a bottle of juice if you came to Day 2 of that fiasco with his lame ass shirt on. Oh really, a bottle for wearing a shirt... okay, here's a couple hundred bottles. toss, toss, toss The reason I was pissed is that he came up to my booth and said "I won't remember your name." I told Cory he would never forget my name... and, he won't. :)

He's bullied a lot of vendors. Bryce from Bryce's Vanilla Cream Custard could tell you STORIES about this asshole.

by RinVapesover 8 years ago

I didn't care for them either... and this was during all of the hype. I'm glad I'm not the only one turned off by this news. If you're not using the recipes anyway, why not share them. Other companies have done it and didn't bitch and whine about it either.

I'm not sure I believe the owner's narrative. Most multimillionaires I know don't mention that in posts to forums, they tend to do the opposite and always complain about how broke they are in case someone tries to hit them up for money ;-)

I'm not sure I believe his imaginary 15K bottle inventory which he threw in a dumpster? Pics or it didn't happen. Why not donate it and get some free publicity and good will and a tax break out of that? It really doesn't make any sense.

I think Nicoticket was very popular back in 2013/2014 with CE4s, much like Copper Creek (remember them?) was popular back in 2012/2013 and Mrs. T's was popular in 2010. They all brought something to the market which was a improvement or in the top 10% at the time. But the world moved on.

I think the heart of his message and somewhat closer to the truth is his sales have walked off a cliff and not enough people want the juice anymore to sustain a company. All the rest is a song and dance to try and move a few more units. I do not think the owner is being honest in many of the statements he's publicly making lately on ECF.

You could tell from the beginning they definitely weren't going to release any recipes if anything it was just a marketing ploy to sell more of their stock

6 points

by X2G_over 8 years ago

Mostly agree. He indicated that if he is out of stock, he will give recipes. Then, he says he will still make 2 of them. Basically, he will not be out of stock anytime soon!

i know nothing about nicoticket but when i saw the conditions under which they were willing to release their recipes i shrugged and said to myself "yeah that'll happen"

Meh he sounds like he was never planning to release the recipes to begin with.

by mentalloover 8 years ago

When I was at their website the other day they only had 3 flavors left. So he had 15k bottles of 3 flavors? Also it sounds like he should have bottled by the order and not have a warehouse of a million bottles.

6 points

by mysticrosellover 8 years ago

Yep, exactly what I thought. I went to see what was available a couple weeks ago and it was down to 3 profiles that I don't like. Can't believe they had 15,000 of just the 3 flavors? Strange...

Gotta agree with all the posters here. Sounds like a fuckin sham. Why would he just trash the goods? Could have donated it in one form or another

What's he's going to do with the recipes anyway? Hoard them in a flashdrive or something in a safety deposit box for the next 20 years? So pointless.

Seems wasteful to toss 15K bottles.

by thedirtyprojectorover 8 years agoMixologist

From a self-proclaimed "multi-millionaire", sounds like a load of BS.

2 points

by naturetelover 8 years ago

I mean realistically if at full production it cost $0.25 like one user said the owner claimed it cost to make then that's only $3,750 in assets for the 15k bottles, so if he was really a multi millionaire it shouldn't matter to him one bit.

I say to him "pics or it didn't happen" I want to see the dumpster full of 15000 bottles of juice. Just another company scam artist doing what he can to preserve his stuff IF he can ever come back. Who knows the FDA refs may back down in a year and some other company may offer to buy those recipes or 5-6 of the top ones and they would be worthless if they were out there for free. Greed.

by thedirtyprojectorover 8 years agoMixologist

Apparently they are not completely closed, he will still be selling certain flavors such as The Virus and Wakonda. So technically, he just discontinued some shit and is looking for a way to make a quick buck.

5 points

by mayor-of-whoreislandover 8 years ago

Not going to lie, I am a little surprised and bummed out that they did not sell out. I made a couple orders while most things were still in stock even though I have exclusively DIY'ed for nearly two years at this point. However, by the time the 70% & 80% off came around the options were pretty limited and I could only get a couple bottles. I am really really hoping that Clark releases all of these recipes that do not require the proprietary bases, it would be a real shame for these recipes to be lost forever.

/u/nicoticket

6 points

by sampleitover 8 years ago

There probably isn't a fuckin proprietary base!!! prob all marketing BS! He won't release those recipes due to fact he will look a cunt for lying to us all about his precious vanilla custard that's probably mainly based around caps v1!!

4 points

by elcido6over 8 years ago

Nikoticket was one of the first vendors I bought from, among other, I got 120ml of their custard and their french vanilla mainly because of the hype around them, by the time I switched to DIY these were some of the last two bottles I had on hand so I would vape them as I awaited my DIY supplies. CAPs VCV1 was one of the first flavors I ordered, and the very first thought I had when I opened the bottle was "this is the main ingredient in CLS". Later I got some CAP - French Vanilla and I'm positive that's the main ingredient in Frenilla.

Had a 0mg sample of their Cinnamon Danish and it's CAP - Cinnamon Danish Swirl.

When I heard Clark say he would be releasing his recipes to the community if he could sell out of his stock, then a week later get an email saying he wouldn't release the recipes for another 2 years I suddenly could no longer be bothered to give a shit, and in my heart I kind of felt it would never happen. Oh well.
.
.
.

TL;DR
Custards Last Stand = CAP's VCV1
Frenilla = CAP's French Vanilla
Grandmas Cinnamon Danish = CAP's Cinnamon Danish Swirl

Perhaps the extraction process is pulling money out of his wallet and paying for the above listed flavorings?

> TL;DR Custards Last Stand = CAP's VCV1 Frenilla = CAP's French Vanilla Grandmas Cinnamon Danish = CAP's Cinnamon Danish Swirl

Tbh this is the case of most popular branded ejuice (aside from add 4-5% sweetener)

Not to discredit those who do make creative recipes and put alot of effort into it, but most of it is slap some Capella's into a bottle and act like you made something totally original.

There's 1000's of Custards out there and 99 out of 100 are just CAP VCv1 with a few small things added in. Once you get a certain combo of flavorings it seems like they become universal among most of these recipes.

My TLDR now... His recipe isn't going to be special it's going to be very similar to something you have already

by thedirtyprojectorover 8 years agoMixologist

> Clark releases all of these recipes that do not require the proprietary bases, it would be a real shame for these recipes to be lost forever.

They are not all proprietary flavorings (as I'm sure he would like you to believe). At most, he's using NETs for the tobacco. But someone said that the bacco flavoring in Wakonda tastes oddly similar to TFA Tobacco Absolute.

No way in hell this gut tossed out 15,000 bottles of juice, I'm sure he had people to give to, definitely BS. Got photos, to see is the believe. Or just never had intentions releasing a single recipe. Just remember karma is a bitch and this is really a small community so we all won't forget. Especially if down the road you try and reinvent your self with a new company.

I bought four bottles of Nicoticket after reading all of the hype, and the only good thing I can say about it is that I had a BOGO coupon. It was horrid-vaping straight black pepper would have been a dream compared to that swill.

by BlazeDemBeatzover 8 years agoMentholatier

Tossing 15000 bottles of juice in a dumpster (the definition of dumpster juice lol) sound quite suspect. Calling bullshit. Even if he sold em for 3 bucks just to move em that's 45,000$. Noone just throws that into a dumpster

by geb999over 8 years ago

wow. two of my favorite vendors gone. I've been vaping almost two years now and these are two companies I bought from frequently - especially Nicoticket - over 2000mls of juice. I can see why Provari is gone - their devices were great and built like trucks, but they didn't keep up with vape trends. I own both a P3 and a Radius. The P3 is going on ebay and the Radius I'll keep for Kayfun use. They were and still are some of the best mods ever made. The 40 watt maximum was their death knell - that's catering to too small a slice of the vape universe. No newb picking up vaping today is likely to buy an expensive 40w device.

Nicoticket provided me with my first ever ADV - Wakonda. I hope if any recipes do become available that Wakonda is among them. I have posted here and elsewhere looking for a Wakonda clone - to no avail. RIP to two of my favorite vendors.

by boomdog07over 8 years agoDiketones, Schmiketones

Send 10-15ml of that Wakonda to some of the great mixers I can promise you they will figure it out. Sometimes it's hard to clone something you have never tasted and by someone else's description of the flavor.

by bawb450over 8 years ago

Yep, wakonda helped get me off the stinkies, I owe that to him! The virus and the cure were amazing, I loved the flavor profile change it went through while vaping it!

I've gotta say the strawnilla wasn't my cup of tea, still got a 60 of that and another I didnt care for.

1 points

by geb999over 8 years ago

Wakonda was my first ADV. I liked ABC (absolute creme brulee - the creme brulee/tobacco blend) as well. Would vape custards last stand from time to time. Tried almost everything in their line up. Some were hits but most were misses for my profile. In the course of 18 months I vaped over 1500 mls of wakonda. Never tried the virus or the cure - I think those had a nut component and I have nut allergies. I still have a couple bottles of both wakonda and ABC left. At the end my problem was the 50/50 blend - I've moved on to 70/30 or higher blends and can't stand the throat hit from higher PG juices. Now that I've gone DIY I just add some VG to them to bring it up to perhaps a 70/30 blend. If wakonda ever comes back I'd love to see a higher VG version of it. Have you ever seen a good clone recipe for wakonda?

No, I haven't. Got so vaped out on it, pulled it outta retirement the other day and remembered how much I loved it.

I actually am local to his warehouse. I was going to go look but I didn't really care that much on what he tossed due to the fact the stock he had left was all 12MG or higher. I'm sure the dumpster would have been dumped by now considering it was almost a full week ago from when he said he shit canned said left over stock.
