A massive thank you to a great community from an Irishman in china
submitted over 8 years ago by nanjingpeter

After lurking around this community for over a year now I feel it's about time to post something. After taking up vaping about 2 years ago it soon became as most of you can guess a very enjoyable pastime. After 2 years of buy over priced juice imported from the states I decided to do my research here and start DIY. I'm now only 5 days in and have already got about 30 bottles of juice that tastes better than any I have bought in the past. All the TFA and Capella flavours are easy to find online in china. Anyway just want to give a big shout out to all you great people post both original and clones recipes here and all the great advice I've found here. I couldn't believe that the first juice I made was as good or even better than any of the so called premium juices.

Congrats from Beijing. There are many diy ejuice Wechat groups. You can ask DBD vapor to add you in the loop. I am also in that group. Good luck and happy mixing~!

Where do you get your flavorings in China? I'm relocating there soon and as far as I'm aware, it's tough to get flavorings other than Hangsen and the usual China suspects...

DBD vapor and VAPOR as well as hello cig..seem to be the best and biggest on taobao...the guy at DBD vapor has very good English and is helpful...plus fast delivery. There are also some good vape bars in shanghai.

Shanghai. Yes I'm aware of Taobao but I'm unable to find much there. What search terms do you enter?

You can get most of the TFA,CAP and FW flavorings from Taobao(online shopping website like Ebay). There are few vendors on Taobao that carry FA and INW. DIY in China won't be a pain in the ass, you should be fine.

Always nice to hear, keep it up and don't get discouraged by failures, think of it as learning! I'd say welcome to the sub, but since you've been here a while, I'll say grats on taking the leap :) I have to ask though, what took you this long? Were you intimidated by how complex it seemed, did it appear to be too much work, and is there anything that could have been different about this sub to make the transition into DIY seem more appealing?

It seemed complex and intimidating until studying this sub. I knew exactly what to order in advance and what recipes I wanted to try. Just opened a bottle of caramel custard I made only 4 days ago and it's wonderful. I honestly never liked a custard I tried from the vape shops before.
