`RECIPE`: "My Sweet Borg"
submitted over 8 years ago by Arpeggiator8472

"My Sweet Borg"

Based on the sexiest Borg in the Delta Quadrant-"Seven Of Nine". This is the 1st part of my Seven Of Nine/Borg Trilogy.

RECIPE:

  • TFA Vanilla Swirl 6.5%

  • FA Fresh Cream 2%

  • FW Hazelnut 1.5%

  • CAP Simply Vanilla 2%

  • Erythritol 0.75%

OPTIONAL: ADD 0.75% TFA SWEETENER IN ADDITION TO THE ERYTHRITOL LISTED!!

Description:

Feel her pale, milky mounds & sweet vanilla nectar dance over your tongue. She will undoubtedly tease & tantalize you, and most definitely leave you wanting more. Many of us, at one time or another have desired to "make" Seven Of Nine. But up to now, none have mastered her unique perfection. Resistance, in this case, is indeed futile...

I enjoy this after a 2 day steep. But like all fine women... er, ELIQUIDS, "My Sweet Borg" improves with age!

"My Sweet Borg" Notes:

  • TFA Vanilla Swirl adds that "soft-serve" quality/creaminess I needed in this mix. It is my personal "go to" for all things milk, and was a huge asset in my "My Milk" clone awhile back. It was with that recipe I realized this concentrate's perfect milk base position in a recipe.*

  • CAP Simply Vanilla I feel, is an extremely under-rated flavoring. This was used to boost the vanilla in Vanilla Swirl to a whole new level. And that's its' only purpose in this recipe.

  • FA Fresh Cream: Holy Mackerel! At 2%, this contributes to that extra thick, milky mouth feel that was missing.

  • FW Hazelnut: This adds a nice malty back note just to keep things interesting.

  • NN Erythritol: Originally, I had incorporated CAPs Super Sweet at the same percentage. But man....double-strength sucralose is a major coil-killer(why is life so unfair?). I then remixed this with Nude Nicotine's Erythritol. At the same percentage, I thought it wouldn't have been as sweet & would need to be boosted up in percentage. But as it turns out, this was a fabulous improvement to not ONLY my coils-but also my taste buds. Okay....Forget what this entire paragraph said above this sentence. I've found I actually prefer this with the addition of TFA Sweetener at 0.75%. In addition to the Erythritol. Adds a bit of sucralose(which I love) without destroying the coils.

•••Star Trek: Voyager & all its' characters are the sole property of Paramount. No profit has been made on this recipe.

Voyager is the best Star Trek (yea bring in the downvotes you TNGers). I'd whip this right away but I'm missing Simply Vanilla and Erythritol. :( I might give it a shot with CAP French vanilla and Ethyl Malthol.

Will you make one for VOY's 2nd best character, the Doctor ? He's just as sober and simple but perhaps more sterile and kool(ada).

He knows about all the additives and their effects. (sorry couldn't find a better video for that scene). If you suppress his ethical sub-routines maybe we could indulge in some diketones.

It certainly IS the best. I grew up watching TOS. TNG & DS9 put me to sleep on a regular basis(though the TNG episodes with The Borg always kept my interest). And Enterprise? To me that was a non-Trek series. I always enjoyed from the 4th-7th season of Voyager. I found the Janeway-Doctor-Seven storylines rich in content, as well as possibilities. It's a shame they destroyed it all with Endgame 1 & 2. Two episodes I could certainly have lived without viewing. With those 2 last episodes, Brannon Braga pretty much sealed Voyager's fate to never cross over into movies. Would you believe it's already been 20 years since the series started?

As for any EMH mixes, only time will tell ;)

It was my favorite as well. Second was TNG. DS9 was ok... I didn't like the original or Enterprise. Voyager's last season was very abrupt because I guess the plan was to have more seasons but it was cancelled? The doctor was my second favorite character and then Janeway. (7of9 was my fav) I couldn't stand either of those characters at first but as the seasons developed, I grew to love them.

I believe Rick Berman & Jeri Taylor left too, in later seasons. Taylor due to being pregnant and Berman(very respectful of Trek history unlike Braga) to work on a TNG movie if I'm not mistaken. That left Brannon Braga the part of executive producer and I think that's really when everything fell apart. He was also dating Jeri Ryan and began mirroring Ryan's real life with the Seven Of Nine role and involving her in some pretty ridiculous situations to give her more airtime. Listen, no one loves Jeri Ryan's singing voice more than me and "Someone To Watch Over Me" was sheer brilliance. But then Braga beat that horse to death and had Seven in several ridiculous situations showcasing her ability to carry a tune. In addition, suddenly Seven became infatuated with the culinary arts, thus mirroring Ms. Ryan's own infatuation with cooking(she used to leave the set when finished filming each day and work in a restaurant in order to be taught how to cook by chefs). When Braga pulled the Chakotay/Seven romance out of his ass and expected long-time viewers to accept it? I had had enough. Yes...I don't like Brannon Braga very much as you can tell. But on the other hand, I believe he was the one who created & wrote the Seven Of Nine character to begin with. A blessing and a curse.

Let me know if you mix this up, how you like it. My next release wil be "Drone" and is very tasty!

Good work here, I think I'm going have to mix this up for sure. Might sub the vanilla for shisha vanilla. I just finished watching Voyager for probably the 8th time. Now it's on to DS9! With all the shitty programs out there today, my wife and I have a constantly running Star Trek marathon. It's great because when there's nothing else to watch, we just pick up wherever we are in the season/series we are watching at the time.

Sounds like my household.

There is always either Star Trek (TNG/Voyager/DS9), or Stargate (SG-1/Atlantis) on.

Same here man, SG1 and Atlantis are the pallet cleansers between all the Star Trek lol!

I think it's the closest to Simply Vanilla, so worth a try!

Always a pleasure. I've been dying for a flavorful vanilla for a long time.

What do you taste in Simply Vanilla?

I've done a ton of testing since September and I've found that CAP Simply Vanilla provides almost nothing but extra clouds and thickness.

Very similar to a less thick version of CAP VBIC. Or a less tasty version of CAP Marshmallow.

I taste vanilla extract with a slight butteriness when balanced with Vanilla Swirl. I don't enjoy most flavors standalone... and Simply Vanilla is certainly a part of that grouping. Someone above mentioned DIYFS Holy Vanilla(as a sub) and the tastes are somewhat similar. Though, I've never enjoyed Holy Vanilla in a strictly all-vanilla recipe. But that's just me!

how does it compare to inw vanilla shisha? I don't have cap simply vanilla and was wondering if inw or cap french vanilla would be closer to the original.

To me, Simply Vanilla is just what it says. Pure vanilla. And when paired with Vanilla Swirl, it really shines. I would think the closest sub for this would be DIYFS Holy Vanilla(though I haven't tried that in place of CAP). Shisha Vanilla to me, comes off as a creamy vanilla. And the last thing I felt this recipe needed was more cream. I would think adding any more creamy flavors would be detrimental to the recipe. But, that's only my opinion...

So what is the flavor profile? Vanilla soft serve?

Like a milky melted soft serve.

What are your opinions about Shisha Vanilla sub for Simply Vanilla? I find Shisha goes really well with the other creams. I havent tried Simply vanilla, dont have it on hand. Wanted your opinions on if you think it would work and hold your profile?

I don't think Shisha Vanilla would arrive at the same flavor as the overall mix.

Looks like something I'd like, thanks.

TOS is the best. TNG, DS9, Voyager, Enterprise were all derivative. TOS was colorful with short skirts and half naked aliens. The CGI wasn't there, but the stories and characters were interesting.

I gotta say...I actually prefer this with the addition of TFA Sweetener at 0.75%. In addition to the Erythritol. Adds a bit of sucralose(which I love) without destroying the coils.
