Lenola Cream
submitted over 8 years ago by NameThatWasntTaken

I just started working on a clone and wanted to get some input as to what people think they taste. Does anyone else get a slight hint of TFA Berry Crunch? The main flavors I taste are TFA Juicy Peach and possibly DX Banana Cream. I can almost swear at some points I can taste the Berry Crunch. The cream element is still a mystery to me.

edit:

There seems to be some controversy about me asking what people taste. Yes, I did do a search and all of the previous conversations are a year or older. I also feel that If I posted in one of the older discussions, it would limit the participants to those in the original conversation. The offered recipes also seem way of from what I taste. I also know of the clone request thread but this isn't a clone request, I'm not asking for a recipe or percentages. People have different pallets and I'm just asking what flavors people think they taste. If you're wanting a more in-depth statement as to what I'm currently thinking I'll give it a shot...

The description from KIK states there is a fruit medley and berry. I personally only taste a single fruit, Peach. People say they think there is a bunch of sweetener in LC but I don't think that's true on the account that it hasn't killed my coils the way other sweet juices do. TFA Juicy peach lends itself to both the fruity and sweet aspect of the juice in my opinion. I would like to try other peaches but this JP is the only one I currently have on hand.

Berries and Bakery Notes. People suggest everything from custard to apple pie. I don't taste any of these things. I do taste the berries that people offer up as Strawberry Ripe but I don't think that's right. I sense a little TFA Crunch Berries. It could account for both the berry and the bakery notes. It sometimes seems like I catch straight TFA Crunchy Cereal but that wasn't around when LC was originally released leading me back to the Berry Crunch.

Banana. I get more of a candied banana than a fresh banana. It could be a tossup for me between TFA Banana Cream or LAs Banana Cream. I'm currently leaning toward the TFA

KIK also says "cream for days" so it makes me think there is more cream in there than just the banana cream. I could be wrong though.

With all that said (if that's even what you're looking for), that still doesn't cover my original simple question of, what do you taste? Am I crazy for thinking I taste Berry Crunch?

You have more patience than I do... Your edit only uses more words to say the exact same thing your original post did but this sub requires people to write essays about fucking everything. I think your OP was fine.

Personally I didn't get peach. I think INW Shisha Strawberry and TFA Banana Cream. Maybe FA Apple Pie for the bakery notes. Haven't had Lenola Cream in a long time though.

Downvoted comment because it wasn't in the form of an essay.

Some mods and specific users take themselves and the sub too seriously. This sub gets what 10 posts a day, nowhere near unmanageable. Y'all spend more time whining about how OP should have done more research before posting and included as many similar discussions had in the past in the post.

All he asked was simple question, what do people taste in lenola cream and that is like one or two sentences per reply but you make more comments discussing if OP should have been more thorough. If you think this is a clone request, go back to school. He's working on his own clone and he's trying to get the profile right. Get over yourselves. This doesn't have to be so formal, and the mods should ask themselves if they aren't overmoderating.

Fuck the search bar. Search bar is for people who want to use it. Like I said, this sub gets 10 new posts a day, it's not as if slightly repetive posts are burying or stifling content. You are supposed to encourage discussion and be open and friendly to new people especially in the current climate surrounding the legality of vaping. DIY especially is the big loophole in all the irrational regulations they are forcing on us, and the way you run this sub just makes it look unwelcoming to novices.

TLDR. It's a small sub in reddit. Get over yourselves.

Edit: and mods/active members, all your comments getting downvoted...don't ignore them. That is your users telling you something. Learn from it.

FWIW, this sub gets 10 posts a day that you see. Mods are very active at cleaning up the chaff. I am on here 3-10 times a day depending on my schedule, and if you looked at the modqueue you would find that his is one of the most vigilant mod teams on reddit. We have listened to what our users want and act accordingly.

Also, I let lots of posts through that BOTH break the rules AND have reports on them. If the post has generated decent discussion, it stays.

"Users telling you something" It's OPs first time visiting this sub. Y'all just come off sounding like a bunch of entitled teenagers.

Also, who cares if the sub has 10 or a million posts a day. Rules are rules, if you're gonna be a cunt about it, go join the DIYORDIE Facebook group.

Yeah, your right it wasn't just Ripe alone.

It must be a small amount of TFA Cheesecake w/ Graham, Its been about 6 months since i've had a bottle, but I can't remember that one standing out.

Have you tried TFA Cheesecake with Graham? I've never tried lenola cream, but back in the day before there were premixed cereal flavorings people would use cheesecake w/ graham to emulate a sweet/creamy/milky/slightly crunchy taste.

FW Pie Crust can give the occasional suggestion of crunch berries~ Not strong, but enough to make you think about crunch berries, then its gone.

The clones I've seen so far are more akin to suntan lotion than lenola cream. I'd try out Nude Nicotine's Banana Cream Pie to get that candied banana taste.

If you try the remix versions of lenola cream, it's really shines a light on that background flavor. I have no idea what it is, but it's delicious.

Abdada is just sad he retired. I'd say in lenola fresh I taste tfa apple pie although it could be something else. Perhaps LA banana cream. I never ever ever got peach, especially tfa peach of any kind. I think tfa cheesecake Graham crust is a good idea but I don't see it.

To clone this juice you have to have one bottle fresh and one bottle 7 days and one bottle 14 days steep. It's so crazy how it changes. If this is your ultimate goal then get 3 bottles overnighted and just start there.

IMO:

Tfa apple pie

LA banana cream

Fa fuji in low

Iunno.

A year isn't that old. This is probably still better off in the Clone Request thread. There have to be a ridiculous number of posts about cloning this juice

A year IS that old, according to reddit, because six months is the cutoff for commenting on old posts. But OP could have done a much better job here by describing what could be found in those old posts and how the many previous efforts to clone this stuff have missed the mark.

Ah.

In that case, you should have shown you did some groundwork by making a post saying that, and also linking to other posts as a series along with some good TL;DR paragraphs drilling down what each old post mentioned or brings up.

Jesus he just wants to spark a conversation. This isn't a law review. You want his citations in APA format or should we stick to blue book citations.

Yep. This is a crappy, lazy post going right up to the line of a clone-request rule-breaker without quite crossing it. What you're describing would have been a terrific treatise on the many efforts to clone this stuff and invited discourse on which directions such efforts might take in the future.
