Weekly 'Suggest a Recipe for my Flavors' Thread - Week of February 03, 2017
submitted over 8 years ago by AutoModerator

Got a bunch of flavors but not sure how to make them work together? Post your list here, and our team of semi-professional mixologists will make suggestions for you! If you are impatient and want to do this on your own, here are a couple of good links:

  • /u/daath has a nice website that has this functionality, but you will need to register to make it work. It is not very intuitive but if you work with it you can input your flavors and get a list of recipes that you can make. IMO this is the better site if you have the patience to make it work for you. Edit2: to get this to work, first set up an account. Then add your flavors to the stash (under my page / my flavor stash). hit save. Then go back to the front page and click the link next to the search field, "Search by flavor stash". You can select a couple of your flavors and recipes that have those will pop up.
  • This site has a nice big search button with just what you're looking for.

Happy Mixing!

Hey all, new to mixing. I have a scale, and would like to make at least one Shake and Vape today, along with something that is good to steep for a couple days. Here is my ingredient list:

Ingredient | Mfgr | Amount (ml) ---|---|--- RY4 Double | The Flavor Apprentice | 10.0 Strawberry (ripe) | The Flavor Apprentice | 10.0 Marshmallow | The Flavor Apprentice | 10.0 Pear | The Flavor Apprentice | 10.0 Watermelon | The Flavor Apprentice | 10.0 Cheesecake Graham Crust | The Flavor Apprentice | 10.0 Bavarian Cream | The Flavor Apprentice | 10.0 Peanut Butter | The Flavor Apprentice | 10.0 Double Chocolate (clear) | The Flavor Apprentice | 10.0 Vanilla Custard V2 | Capella | 10.0 Classic Vanilla | Flavour Art | 10.0 Fuji | Flavour Art | 10.0 Vienna Cream | Flavour Art | 10.0 Base Liquid 70VG/30PG | Cloud House Vapor | 500.0 Bunkerbase 48mg/ml - 100%PG | Avoria | 450.0 VG 85% DW 15% | Pharmacy | 100

Edit: Realized that by buying 70/30 VG/PG, my mixes will end up 50:50. Oops. Using some VG+DW that I picked up at the store, I made this semi-mothers unicorn milk. Should end up 58% VG, 32% PG, 10% DW. We'll see how it goes for my dripper. I'll have to pick up some 100% VG later. Recipe in mg:

Ingredient | Mfgr | Amount (mg) | Notes ---|---|---|--- Bunkerbase 48mg/ml - 100%PG | Avoria | 1.95 | Went a little over VG 85% DW 15% | Pharmacy | 24.84 | Went a little over Bavarian Cream | The Flavor Apprentice | 1.28 |
Cheesecake Graham Crust | The Flavor Apprentice | 1.56 |
Strawberry (ripe) | The Flavor Apprentice | 3.11 |
Marshmallow | The Flavor Apprentice | 1.25 | Subbed 1:1 for Sweet Cream (TPA) Vanilla Custard V2 | Capella | 0.94 | Subbed 1:1 for Vanilla Custard (TPA)

Edit2: Tried it after ~10 mins with lots of shaking. Warm creamy taste, strawberry is pretty subtle. It looks a little runny in the bottle, but really isn't too bad. The Cheesecake crust taste is a little strong, but not bad. Will probably vape some of the bottle now (almost out of other juices), and save some to steep for a couple days.

Thanks for the recipe! Just made it up. The fruity taste was a little harsh on the first few pulls, but is mellowing out really quick.

What I did for 30ml:

Ingredient | Mfgr | Amount (ml) | Amount (mg) ---|---|---|--- Strawberry (ripe) | The Flavor Apprentice | 1.5 | 1.554 Watermelon | The Flavor Apprentice | 1.2 | 1.2432 Fuji | Flavour Art | 0.6 | 0.6216 Bunkerbase 48mg/ml - 100%PG | Avoria | 1.9 | 1.95 VG 85% DW 15% | Pharmacy | 24.8 | 30.37

It would definitely not be the same but it might very well still taste very good. If you decide to give that a shot, go with something like 1% CAP NY Cheesecake and 1.5% TFA Graham Cracker Clear.

You might be able to make a nice pink lemonade.

  • 6% LA Lemonade
  • 2% TFA Strawberry Ripe
  • 1% TFA Strawberry
  • 1% TFA Dragonfruit

5% lemonade 3% strawberry ripe 2% strawberry

I shall deffinitly try it with the dragon fruit thanks.

Creamy StrawKiwi 4 U

  • TFA Strawberry (Ripe) 4%
  • TFA Kiwi Double 4%
  • TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream 4%
  • TFA Cheesecake (Graham Crust) 4%

Steeping

  • 3 Day Minimum
  • 7 Day Recommended

Composition (Left to Right in Order of Importance)

  • The Fruit <-- [Base] Strawberry (Ripe) + Kiwi (Double)
  • The Cream <-- [Base] Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
  • The Crust <-- [Base] Cheesecake (Graham Crust)

Recipe Elements

  • TFA Strawberry (Ripe) --> Main fruit of the recipe, held up by the kiwi. Probably could have its percentage raised.
  • TFA Kiwi Double --> Gets covered up by graham crust, probably needs it's percentage lowered. The graham crust doesn't cover up the the tart. The tart pairs well with the strawberry.
  • TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream --> Cream of the recipe, fills up the dish. Thickens it. Percentage is probably about right.
  • TFA Cheesecake (Graham Crust) --> Drys out the recipe and covers up the candy of the kiwi, the dryness is what covers the candy. Pairs well with the ice cream.

I love kiwi double! Percents can be adjusted, but it will still be a good vape.

I've never had FW Black Cherry, but i think something like:

3% Black Cherry (have no idea how strong it is..)

1% TPA VBIC

1% Vanilla Swirl

1 points

by McTouchButtover 8 years ago

The FW black cherry is a nice candy black cherry, it's not nearly as strong as the maraschino cherry, which is insanely strong.

1 points

by amouthforwarover 8 years ago

I'd want to try a cherry pie mix, but not sure how you could go about building a crust profile.

3% fw black cherry
1% tfa maraschino
1.5% tfa graham cracker clear
1% fa cookie or yellow cake
And possibly .25-.5% liquid amber to create a cherry filling or any nut flavors to flesh out the crust, whichever direction you wanna go

Sweetener to your liking. I have these flavors too so i might just try to whip something up myself :p

Definitely INW Biscuit has a crusty taste...

1 points

by amouthforwarover 8 years ago

I use it for like any cracker type flavors I'm going for so I guess my brain just automatically thinks its a cracker/cookie flavor but it would work. I just have pie crust for crust bases and other concentrates to round it out

2 points

Just did a 5% black cherry .5% maraschino 2% Graham cracker 1% INW biscuit 2% sucralose sweetener.

letting it sit for a bit

SO as of now, I gave it a hot bath... still a very candy taste...I need something to give it more of a pie filling taste....a lot of throat hit...probably need to set it aside for a week.

Have you tried this [Cinnamon Roll Apple Danish] (https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/10613#cinnamon_roll_apple_danish_by_id10_t)?

2 points

No I haven't! I have been looking for things to use the cinnamon danish swirl with. The only recipes ive seen using it thus far use it at too high a percentage paired with the FW cinnamon roll. I have enjoyed FLV Rich Cinnamon more. Havent gotten to test the swirl by itself yet to make one to my taste so I will definitely try this recipe.

Side note, if I didnt know better Id think you were the only other person on this sub. Thanks for being so active

Apple Lime (INW), Apple Pineapple (INW), Bavarian Cream (CAP), Bavarian Cream (TPA), Cheesecake (Graham Crust) (TPA), Cherry (ECig), Dragonfruit (TPA), DX Banana Cream (TPA), Fruits of the Forest (ECig), Pitaya (INW), RF Sweet Strawberry (CAP), Strawberry (Ripe) (TPA), Sugar Cookie v2 (CAP)

I also have the sweetener from TPA and a citric acid solution. I used my 80VG/20PG base for the citric acid and added 2 grams to 18ml, so it should be around 6% according to my calculations(as CA doesn't dissolve as well in VG).

I currently tried the 'nana cream clone by fizzmustard, substituting the regular strawberry for strawberry ripe, the banana for the DX version and not using CA. Not too great. I also have some with 4% Strawberry Ripe and 4.5% Sweet Strawberry CAP steeping.

I've also mixed some God Milk substituting the 4% Strawberry with 4% Sweet Strawberry CAP. It's been steeping for 4 days, about to try it out.

From premium juices I adored Tropika by Twelve Monkeys. The juiciness of it was superb, although maybe a bit sweet.

Not entirely sure how it will turn out using Sugar Cookie V2 and RF Sweet Strawberry in place of the V1 and non-RF versions, but you could try this: https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/11187#strawberry_cookie_by_ediblemalfunction

Hey guys! First time poster to the DIY_ejuice sub. Go easy please! Just got my first order of supplies this week and have made a few 10mls for testing purposes. God Milk, Mango Ice Cream, PB&J and a Kanzi clone are the 4 I've tried. Nana cream will come when I get some Citric acid. Flavors!

VBIC (TPA), Strawberry (TPA), Strawberry (ripe) (TPA), Kiwi Dbl (TPA), Cotton Candy (TPA), Mango (TPA), Sweet Mango (CAP), Bavarian Cream DX (TPA), Peanut Butter DX (TPA), Banana Cream Clear (LA), Marshmallow (TPA), Cheesecake (GC) (TPA), Watermelon (FA), Dragonfruit (TPA),

Acytel Pryazine, Sweetener (TPA)

Thanks in advance!

Go ahead and make the Nana Cream without the citric acid, it's unnecessary and its creator now even recommends not using it. Just 7% Strawberry, 5% LA Banana Cream, and 3% Dragonfruit.

Don't forget to try Fizzmustard's Famous Mustard Milk, 8% VBIC, 6% Strawberry. I actually prefer it with those %'s swapped, you might try that as well.

What's that Mango Ice Cream recipe you made?

2 points

by AlbertaSparkyover 8 years ago

It just so happens to be yours! I bought flavors specifically for it and it turned out great. Immediately made a 60ml to steep for the next few weeks while I play around with other recipes. I'll definitely try nana cream now then, just mixed up another Kanzi variation to try with less sweetener and less kiwi. First one was very perfume and killed my taste buds. Thank you!

Try 6% TFA VBIC, 2% FA Coconut for coconut ice cream, and to make it interesting, add 1 to 2 percent of one of just about any of your other flavors (whatever sounds good to you).

Strawberry, Peach, Coconut is a classic combo (called Flamingo). Try 4% TFA Juicy Peach, 4% TFA Strawberry Ripe, 2% CAP Sweet Strawberry, 1.5% FA Coconut. May need a few days to come together.

Also try 3.5% Banana Cream, 3% Golden Pineapple, 1% Orange Cream, 1.5% Whipped Cream... It'll need a good 2-week steep and then, yum, pineapple banana smoothie.

Finally, you have everything to need to make some basic Seduce Juice "snake" stuff. Try 4% TFA Bavarian Cream and 1% FA Coconut plus 3% TFA Juicy Peach or CAP Sweet Strawberry, or if you are feeling more adventurous than that, try it with Dragonfruit, Pineapple, or Banana Cream. 1 week steep.

I may have to pick your brain on coconut one day. I had a coconut Mojito the other day that prompted me to dive down the coconut rabbit hole. I have FA Coconut on the way.

2 points

by ID10-Tover 8 years agoWinner of the 2nd DIYorDIE World Mixing Championship

Coconut mojito juice sounds terrific!

FA Coconut tastes delicious, very realistic, but it's also very dry and you'll want to mix it with wet and/or creamy ingredients to combat that. TFA Coconut and TFA Coconut Candy seem to work well for that if you want to push that coconut flavor forward without making your juice drier which is what would happen if you just added more FA Coconut.

This is an awesome collection of flavors for such a short list!

For sweet and creamy, try 4% Vanilla Swirl, 1.5% Whipped Cream, and 1% Meringue. Of course, that would be a bit boring by itself. Try mixing it with:

  1. FA Raspberry 3%, Mandarin 1.5%, Sweet Strawberry 1.5%, Key Lime 1%, Cactus 0.5%, and Koolada 0.25%.

  2. Dragonfruit 7%, Cactus 1%, and INW Raspberry 0.5%.

  3. Harvest Berry 4%, Dragonfruit 2%, Key Lime 1%, and Cactus 0.5%.

Try them after an overnight steep. If you like them, vape on. If not, give them a few days.
