Banana Bread
submitted over 8 years ago by Panda_son

Hello all!

Long time lurker, first time poster. This is one of a few recipes I have made over the past year that my friends and I enjoy. I wanted to share it with you all since I could not find a recipe similar to this. I am completely open to suggestions too!

This is a freshly baked Banana bread. Pulled fresh out of the oven, baked with almost over ripe bananas and crushed almonds in the batter. This has a moist and warm center, just like ~~my grandmothers fresh loaves~~ freshly baked bread.

I got bored a few months ago and looked through my stash to see what has not been used I found the Bananas Foster by Flavor West, I new that I needed to make some sort of Bananas Foster juice. However this was not to be, I sort of accidentally created an excellent(in my very biased opinion) Banana Bread Juice.

It is surprisingly good as a shake and vape, although I did not leave enough in the first batch to steep. I blew through a 30ml in about four days. I have since mixed a few batches since then, its amazing after a one to two week steep but I have not gotten past the two week mark, its been my ADV for a while now.

Here is the recipe

  • ~~Bananas Foster (FW) @ 7.00%~~ ~~Just found that I could not find a vendor that has this in stock at all, I think FW may have discontinued it:( looking for a replacement flavor and am open to suggestions~~ Please see edit below
  • Vanilla Cupcake (Cap) @ 2.50%
  • Cinnamon Churro (FW) @ 1.50%
  • Toasted Almond (FW) @ 1.00%
  • Cake Batter Dip (FW) @ 1.00%
  • Liquid Amber (FA) @ 0.50%
  • Acetyl Pyrazine 5% (TPA) @ 0.50%

Blow are my flavor notes in order of percentage.

  • Bananas Foster (FW) @ 7.00% - This is the main banana and bread flavor. The banana profile is more of an incredibly ripe banana than a candy, it does not have an artificial taste to it. Its fresh bread flavor is more of a slightly darker bread and it really fits this juice. The flavor has a slight nutty feel to it, like a really small trace of almond.

  • Vanilla Cupcake (Cap) @ 2.50% - I feel like the this cake adds an air of freshness to the recipe. It also lends a little sweetness to the juice, it even adds a slight moisture to the juice.

  • Cinnamon Churro (FW) @ 1.50% - I chose this because this adds a solid but unassuming spice flavor profile to the juice. To me its not just a "cinnamon" flavor, it feels a bit more complex and adds more depth. I don't feel like this flavor at this percentage overpowers the other flavors, the amount of "spice" is just right to me.

  • Toasted Almond (FW) @ 1.00% - This builds on the light almond flavor that builds on to the Bananas Foster flavor. It does add a slight sweetness as well. The almond flavor is lighter but also sort of "darkens" the flavor.

  • Cake Batter Dip (FW) @ 1.00% - I feel like this adds a sort of a under cooked dough flavor to the juice. The sort of dough that is cooked thoroughly but has an almost gooey center. The sweetness is a great bonus too.

  • Liquid Amber (FA) @ 0.50% - I really like this flavor enhancer, I feel that it really brings out the other flavors of the juice. I like the slight taste of a dark, but not brown, sugar that really is great.

  • Acetyl Pyrazine 5% (TPA) @ 0.50% - I love the nutty aspects of this flavor. It really brings out the almond and nut like flavors that are present in adjacent flavors.

I've moved over to e-liquid-recipes.com recently here is a link to my recipe: http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/1167863/Banana+Bread+v1

EDIT: Apparently you can still buy it, just not many vendors carry it any more :(

That sounds like a good recipe, but in the future you might think twice before referencing your "grandmother's fresh loaves"...

My pleasure. Hope you get some good feedback - I'm not a fan of banana in any way so I'm gonna pass, but it does sound delicious.

I use TFA Banana Nut Bread and I love it... I don't know how it compares to FW Bananas Foster though...

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll additional to my juice order. The FW is just amazing, it's just not really carried anymore. I have a found a few vendors that do.

TFA makes a good Bananas Foster that is pretty close to the FW version in strength and taste.

Thanks! Have you used both? How close are they and what % difference did you use from one to the other?

I have used both, starting with the FW version. I was unable to tell the difference using them at the same percentage. I've made some good single flavor mixes with the TFA version at 5 to 7 percent.
