TL;DR: This might work as an ingredient if you want to clone Halo's Torque 56 or create something similar.

Specs:

  • percentage used: 4%
  • 18 day steep
  • PG/VG ratio: 50/50
  • vaped on NarDA rda, A1 Kanthal, 24 gauge, spaced coil, 0.74 ohm, 12-18 watts

Flavor Properties:

  • sweet (for a tobacco)
  • mild

Relatable Flavors:

  • gentle, sweet, black liquorice, not overpowering
  • molasses
  • subtle Swedish berries vibe goin on very low in the background
  • no actual tobacco leaf flavor present

Mouth Feel:

  • moderately dense

Off Flavors:

  • none

Position In A Recipe:

  • accent flavor
  • use as a topping in aromatic pipe blends
  • or use in low percents (2ish % to sweeten a hardy non-aromatic bacco mix)

Suggested Percentage:

  • 4-6%

Pairings:

  • pipe tobaccos (INW "For Pipe" line comes to mind)

Conclusion:

  • First off, I feel this is an aromatic tobacco flavor. Aromatics are tobaccos that have toppings like cherry, vanilla, liquorice, etc.
  • This will blend very well in aromatic pipe tobacco mixes.
  • I prefer non-aromatic tobaccos so I won't be reaching for this often unless using it at very low percents. If you enjoy a bit of sweetness in your leaf, this could make for an interesting ingredient.
  • To be clear, it's not sweet like EM or Sucralose. It's sweet because of the molasses note.
  • If I was trying to clone Halo's Torque 56, I would definitely try putting this in there. Actually, when I think of tobaccos like Torque 56, this flavor starts to make a lot of sense.

dude I tred this flavor at 1% and it just tasted like the color purple

I aged it for fuckin weeks. "breathed it" and have sampled multiple times in those weeks.

It wasnt very good to me but I kept wanting to vape it for some odd reason. Im thinking 0.5% in 50/50 might taste like tobacco but I doubt it

Nah, it won't ever taste like tobacco. It's only good as a tobacco additive in my opinion. It does carry a pretty hefty molasses note at higher percents which I've tasted in Torque 56 and I did like it.

From what I've noticed, Hangsen does better at higher percents. Overall, this one may prove usefull but it's not a standalone for me.

5% ry0 seemed like chemical and too much however I let it chill for a couple weeks and it does smell better. However that bottle got left an hour away

Also did your bottle say "tobacco essence" or something to that extent? I thought that would be reference to net but maybe not

>"tobacco essence"

I'll have to take a look when I get home, not sure. I can confirm, however, that it did come in the cutest little fat 10mL bottle thatcha ever did see lol.
