Inawera's response on animal derived ingredients
submitted over 8 years ago by wuuuy

I saw the other thread that was posted a year ago, but I'm unable to comment on it as it's archived.

I sent Inawera an email the other day asking if any of their flavorings were made with animal derived ingredients and got the following response:

> You may be sure they are non-animal derived. We use natural vegetable components

> Best regards,

Just wanted to put this out there if anyone else needed this information.

Good news for those of us who care :)

Why am I so disappointed by their response. I was expecting them to exude some typical Poland badassery.

It's actually a bit of letdown, right?

We make the flavors, you vape them, or however it went. I got a kick out of that one.

Yeah... I expected something along the lines of "Spierdalaj, they all derived from various kinds of pizda. Zajebiste. What you gonna do about it. Nothing. That's what you gonna do. Idiota. Have great day."

Good to know.

Do any other manufacturers use animal derived ingredients?

You can find the list I was referring to here: https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/3p2x9p/i_asked_7_flavour_companies_about_animal_products/

As you can see, a few of the TFA flavors contain milk solids. Lorann, Flavor West and Atmost Labs didn't provide satisfactory responses^^1. I personally count the response from Flavour Art as to be a non-issue (as well as the other obvious ones) unless someone can inform me of an extraction technique which requires animal derived ingredients.

^^1 ^edit: ^according ^to ^OP ^of ^that ^post ^and ^I ^would ^agree, ^but ^some, ^such ^as ^Flavor ^West ^mig ^just ^be ^non-animal ^derived ^considering ^their ^first ^response.

I'm almost a vegan, so I would like to not vape animal by-products, if it can be avoided.

Metal coils are made with chicken biproduct. Ceramic coils are made with pork fat. :(

Honestly I don't think they even know. They most likely don't make their concentrates themselves, and don't know where all of their suppliers source everything.
