OK new mixers, this is your thread to ask any questions you want of the DIY eJuice community. All posts are allowed, but we still encourage you to use the sidebar and search features before asking any questions.
- Placing your first DIY order and want to make sure you have all you need?
- Not sure about how to mix your first bottle?
- Want to get started but aren't sure how?
- Any other questions? ... then this is the thread for you. FWIW, the answers to the first three questions will eventually be found in the wiki (still in development); link at the top of the page.
Ask away!
I'm so excited, I just placed the last of six orders to get me started! Bull City says they shipped already. Probably just the label being made, I'm guessing. The scale and nicotine came today.
For an initial investment of $220 I'll be making my own juice soon. Woohoo!
Shipping question: Best place to order from when living on the west coast. I already received my order from wizard labs but realized later that shipping played a big part in the cost
ECigExpress Is located on the west coast and even has some B&M locations.
Ecig express or gremlin diy. Both usually take about 3-4 days from order date to delivery as long as you order earlier in the day so that they can get it shipped same day or early next day.
Edit: I live in Southern California so YMMV depending on location.
NicotineRiver is in Simi Valley CA
Hi, I'm new. I quit a 33 year 3 pack a day smoking habit with my vape almost 5 months ago and haven't felt better in years. I am now finally going to take the plunge into DIY juice for a few reasons: It's something to keep me busy, it's cheaper than retail, I control the quality.
I've been reading your sidebar and using the search link in the sidebar to scour this very resourceful subreddit for answers to my initial questions. Thus far thanks to the search feature I've decided to start off measuring by weight instead of the volume I initially thought would be easier; so kudos on changing my mind without even talking to me at all yet. :)
OK so one question for now:
Nicotine
I vape about 10ml of 3mg max vg juice per day. I will only be making enough juice for myself. I want to use Carolina Extract but in searching learned that nic oxidizes and as it does; tastes like shit. So here is my question: I want to use nic in a PG base at 48mg/ml that I can then dilute and store in the freezer; but I don't see that concentration anywhere on their site. Am I missing something? How can I get around buying the very, very high concentration of 100mg/ml which seems like it'll oxidize way, way way before I could ever use it all. What do?
Back to reading everything here and compiling my shopping list. Before I start buying everything I will maybe make a self post here in this sub with my shopping list if that is okay? Ok if you read all this, thanks a lot! I sincerely appreciate all of your past and present experiences that you've all shared on this sub and I look forward to successfully making my own juice with all of you!
they only sell 500ml and 1000ml increments of 48mg/ml
http://www.carolinaxtract.com/_p/prd12/1907073665/product/500ml(.5liter)-48mg-ml-clear-nicotine-pg-solution
http://www.carolinaxtract.com/_p/prd12/1907041705/product/1-liter-100mg-ml-nicotine-usp-pg-solution
if you want a smaller ammount you could buy 120ml of 100mg/ml and dilute it to 50mg/ml with more pg
http://www.carolinaxtract.com/_p/prd12/3738421821/product/120ml-sample-100mg-ml-nic-pg
Thanks. 500ml would give me more nicotine than I might be able to smoke in the next 3 years if I'm reading everything correctly.
I'm thinking maybe I might get the 100mg/ml and freeze half of it in a separate amber capped bottle. This quantity looks like it'd give me 34 120mL bottles of 3mg juice, so that will take me about 408 days to go through. Will the frozen nicotine degrade to the point that it is peppery and unvapeable in that time?
i buy nicotine roughly once a year.
use polycone lids on the bottles and argon. also minimize exposure to oxygen i.e. have a smaller working bottle you periodically fill instead of using your large bottle everytime. freezing also helps
i only poured out of my 250ml bottles and used argon most times.
it really didnt become peppery (at 10mg/ml) until i left it out one night with the cap off. when i was done with it: my old nic was much thinner than my recently received nic from all the opening and closing and time n shit.
in my opinion get the 120ml and a 15ml empty bottle. decant some into the smaller bottle and keep that in the fridge and the rest in the freezer. neither of them will go bad by the time you use it. a lot of people on here don't even bother to refrigerate their working nic and don't have problems.
100mg/ml nic isn't scary to work with.
My methods and results:
Bought a liter of 100mg/ml in PG, broke down into 60ml amber glass with phenolic cone caps. Filled each to brim to minimize air. Put in freezer. I keep a 30ml ldpe working bottle in fridge, refilling only when completely empty.
Now it's been about 18 months, and never had any problem with quality. I am only following /u/botboy141's recommendations from the "all about nicotine" in the sidebar (that thing IS super useful as you said).
BTW congrats on quitting cigs! I'm close to 2 years away from a 30 year 2 pad habit.....
If you used every drop of a 120mL @ 100mg/mL would last you 400 days. A 500mL @ 48mg/mL would last you 800 days. I use 200mg/mL @ 250mL and the color is still good at nearly 3 months and it is half gone, but I keep it in the freezer, pull it out, use it, put it back. PG base, so it gets thick, but thin enough to use.
I'm in the same boat as you. But I haven't read any of the side bar yet. I have been watching DIY or DIE videos on YouTube. I'm kinda scared this is just going to be another thing in vaping I waste my money on. I hope it works out for us. We will have a whole new world of information and techniques to learn. Let me know how it goes.
VG nic stores longer than PG nic. VG has a higher molecular weight.
Store in glass with a poly cone cap.
Store in the freezer.
If opened, store in a glass bottle with as little head space (air space) as possible.
Always bring to room temperature before opening.
Open only as infrequently as possible.
Don't shake your nicotine, or introduce any more air than necessary.
CXTX is excellent nicotine. Good choice.
Hey folks. I've just started to mix with pretty good success. I've always experimented heavily with my cooking and numerous other things, so I took to it fast and like what I'm doing.
What I'm wondering for folks who've refined/streamlined their process, what's your cost per ML? I started with 24mg nic base, mixing down to 9mg, to minimize risk and danger while working with it for the first time, but I've had no accidents so far. I know my costs will go down with 100mg, but I'm wondering, for folks who did the math, what your cost is for your ADV. I'm not highly cost conscious or poor, but I do try to save money where I can, so I'm curious what my cost here will be against MBVwholesale back in the day.
I don't calculate how much the liquid I mix sets me back, but I can tell you know that getting 100 mg/mL will save you some more money. And while it can be dangerous on paper, you'll be fine if you're careful. It's not like you'll have to be hospitalized if you get some on your own skin. I'd imagine you'd have to take a good sip straight from the bottle before anything serious happens, or maybe get it directly in your eyes.
Why not look at how much you're paying for your nicotine now and how much 100 mg/mL will cost you. You can simply calculate how much more money you'd be saving.
70mg is a lethal dose and the problem with getting it on your skin is, if you're feeling it, it's about to get worse.
i am not worried, I just wanted to make sure the workspace and environment were OK to work in before I bought the more poisonous concentration. There is a full shower not 15 feet from the area in the event of a body spill, I have head goggles, a high quality breather mask (not so much for this) and full rubber aprons and elbow gloves in the same area, but so far I've just done nitrile gloves, apron and goggles. At 100mg, my only real worry would be the unstopable backsplash in the eye, but hey, goggles.
Can someone help me identify a flavor? This is my first attempt at trying to clone a recipe. I can only really identify 2 different flavors, one is Inawera Melon and I'm not sure about the other. The unknown flavor smells very very similar to some sort of fruity shampoo and cotton candy.
Is there a big difference between brands for each flavour? I already have TFA vanilla custard, and cinnamon danish, but this recipe ( https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/11595#apple_buttah_by_goldbones ) calls for CAP brand.
Yes, there is usually a big difference between brands for each flavor, both in strength and in taste. But sometimes, especially when they are used as a small part of the recipe and not one of the main flavors in it, you can find an effective substitute.
I'd go ahead and mix up Apple Buttah using your TFA flavors as subs. It will be different from the original for sure, but you never know, it might be an improvement.
Sometimes theres discrepencies in strength, but that usually applies to flavorah and flavourart in my experience (theyre a bit stronger) but you can definitepy substitute with another brands similar concentrate just gotta find the right %
OK so probably the wrong place but I don't know where else to ask it. This mystical side bar, is it only on the app or am i missing something?
If you're using a pc it should be on the right side of your screen, labeled: Subreddit Info.
I'm on Mobile just in the browser.
Just checked on my phone, toward top of the sub's page you should see "About this community"; tapping this should open the sidebar for you. Alternatively you can try this link, it seemed to work in my mobile browser just fine.

Hey everyone. I've been struggling to really get the flavors to pop in the juices I've been making.
My friends that buy the juice I make want max vg. And then they complain that the flavor isn't strong enough. Most of my mixes are 90/10 and sometimes as high as 95/5.
I recently started using TFA Sweetener, 1-2 drops per 10 ml. Is that a good ratio?
I was thinking of purchasing some pg, for general mixes, should I do 80/20? 75/25?
Also, for nicotine, do you guys use vg based or pg based? I've been using vg based.
Thanks in advance!! :)
I personally mix just about everything at 80/20, though most people seem to prefer a ratio closer to 70/30. VG is a terrible flavor carrier and mostly helps with vapor production, AFIK. It's possible that your 90/10 liquids may require much more steeping time, or that the flavors are being muted by so much VG.
I use PG based nic, as it's much easier to work with and lasts longer; VG based is more likely to contain hot spots.
I can't personally recommend the proper usage of TFA sweetener, though the current ratio you're using is close to what I normally see being used.
OMG that explains SO MUCH about the vg based nic having hot spots!!! Thank you for the advice sir. Take that upvote
Yeah, it has a lot to do with the viscosity of VG, which really makes it a pain if you store your nic in the freezer. If you still intend on using your VG based nic, I'd recommend getting it to room temp before using it, you'll notice the VG becomes much less viscous; to speed this up you could try placing the bottle in a water bath (room temp, or slightly above) before mixing.
In terms of steeping time, process and whatnot, Would there be any difference in mixing a 30ml and a liter?
I am just thinking that because the volume is larger it will also take more time for the ingredients to blend.
Hope someone can enlighten me.
Personally, I have never mixed more than 60 mL. With that being said, it certainly seems to me my 10 mL mixes are ready to vape a lot faster than the bigger bottles. I'd imagine the steep time doesn't linearly increase with the amount of liquid, but I'd be willing to bet it does increase the ideal steeping period a bit.
In theory no, but it's hard to shake 1000 ml the same way as 10 ml. A large batch will be less sensitive to fluctuations in temperature. Even a difference in head space can have an impact.
What sort of impact? Also about the temperature fluctuation, would that be good or bad.
As for head space it allows room for lighter volatiles to escape from the mix, thereby losing a bit of the flavor, on top of increased oxidation.
Reactions happen faster with increased temperature, including degradation. This isn't really an issue at room temperature, but a small container would absorb and release fluctuations in energy quickly throughout whereas a large container would be unevenly affected, especially if the changes are rapid. It should have a relatively small impact, but serves as an example of why batch size could potentially matter.
What would be a good fruit flavor shake n vape recipe for a total noob to start with?
I bought 100mg/ml nicotine 50/50 and a 50/50 pg/vg base. I tried to mix a couple small bottles of Vanilla Cola recipe with FW flavors and also a straight strawberry recipe and both tasted like garbage. I'll try them again in about a week once they have steeped but I don't have high hopes for them.
Also, who makes the best flavor concentrates?
Thanks guys.
I asked a similar question about which companies are best for different flavors and got this answer from u/UncleManifestor :
> FA = mainly good fruits, good creams, good others (marzipan, almond, cookie, anise etc) CAP = juicy fruits (good for a supporting role rather than main flavour), awful cake (to my tastebuds), good bakery (Sugar cookie etc) TFA = bad creams (apart from Vanilla Swirl), bad fruits (weird chemical taste), bad bakery (off tastes) INW = good strong fruits, dreadful coconut.
Of course, all this is subjective, and can change from person to person. So your best bet is to go through the flavor reviews and find the best vendor for each specific flavor you're looking for, and compile a list of what you find.
As far as simple Fruit recipes go, what concentrates do you currently have? I may be able to help you figure something out with some information on what flavors you have.
Thank you for the info sir, Seems like a lot of people use FA for concentrates so I think I'll buy some of those.
All I have right now is strawberry, cola, and Madagascar vanilla. All from flavor west. Will be ordering more this week but definitely not from them! I enjoy peach, strawberry, banana, kiwi flavors. I've only been vaping for a few weeks so haven't tried a lot, but not a big fan of the baked goods etc
An easy one I like:
- Pear (TFA) 6%
- Strawberry (TFA) 3%
- Honeydew (TFA) 3%
This tastes Honeydew heavy at first but after a few days steeping the other flavors come out and the Honeydew mellows. I believe to make a Honey Peary clone apricot at 3% is added also, but I do not mix it like that. Good luck!
Im new to this. How do you get your %, what does it mean using a 10ml bottle
You should read everything here first: https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/wiki/index because it explains everything way better than I can, but I will try to help.
Juice recipes here are described in percentage of the whole juice so you can scale them to any size batch you are creating. What you want to do is find a juice calculator, I like http://e-liquid-recipes.com/create . Enter the ingredients and percentages under the 'add flavor' button. The calculator will tell you exactly how much of what you will need. Since there are other factors involved in making a juice, other data will also need to be entered also. Like your batch size, nicotine base strength and your finished juice target ratios (VG/PG and nic strength).
Then after that, read all the other links in the sidebar, there is tons of good stuff to know.
Throat hit question
Not sure what is wrong with my juice.
Thing is, it always give me a harsh throat hit during the first 5-7 puffs. After that, everything will be smooth again. Any idea why this is happening?
It's likely caused by one of two things:
-
Oxidized nicotine- Is the throat hit followed or preceded by a peppery taste?
-
VG/PG ratio- Anything lower than 70/30 can be known to cause a throat hit. What ratio do you mix at?
I have a 70/30 mix. Recipe is
3% nicotine 70% vg 16% pg 5% peach 3% condensed milk 2% fresh milk 1% ethyl maltol
All is a local brand available in my country.
At first i thought it was the milk, but when i tested other mix that has the same ingredients, everything is good.
This was steeped using an ultrasonic cleaner.
For the nicotine, i keep it inside the fridge.
Is it possible that during the steeping i did not allow it to breathe?
Mix small 5ml 70/30 with each flavour separate. Give them a try, maybethey areat fault.i blamed nicotine atfirat for my harsh recipes from what I read in the internet. It turns out it was one of the flavours.
If you find it is a flavour it, let it steep a good month too see if it helps reduce the harshness. If so you'll know you need a long steep using it.
Hi everyone. I've been meaning to make a base to mix faster, but I'm not sure how would that affect the final result. In general, I want to mix juices with 1 mg of nicotine and preferably a 75VG/25PG ratio. Also, my flavors are usually 10% of the mix, give or take 2%, all PG based. So, if I make a base of 85VG/15PG with 2 mg of nicotine, would that work? I'm thinking, make at least 500 ml for the base and then just pour flavorings on a new bottle and top it off with the base. Since the nic is going to be diluted when I add the flavorings, then 2 mg in the base for 1 mg in the juice is ok?
I'd do 1.25mg/mL and 80/20 for a base if you wanted your end result with flavoring to be as close as possible to 1mg/mL 75/25. That should be close enough.
I'd just make the base without nicotine and add the nicotine to final product..
Like for a 10ml single flavor tester you might not want nicotine if the flavor is bad so you don't waste nicotine.
If the 10ml tester is good with a 10% flavor then you could just calc it in and add however much nicotine you want.
I just started mixing this last week and followed a couple recipes that were posted here. First of thank you to this sub for helping me get started! When I go home today I was going to experiment with blending flavors and not following a recipe. In my first round of flavor orders I got a mix of fruity, cream, and baked goods flavorings. Im wondering what are going to be the most potent of those types of flavors? Which ones are going to be in lesser ratios so one flavor doesnt completely overpower the others? Can you tell which are going to be most potent by the smell of the pure flavors and judge that way? Can the PG/VG ratios change the way its going to taste after being vaped? Again thank you for answering my n00b questions its greatly appreciated!!!
Short answer: be sure to do single flavor testing for all of your concentrates. That is the only way to really find what % you prefer. Use the flavor reviews here or at ATF as a guide for starting %.
Welcome!
- So your fruity flavors show up as soon as you mix them. The cream flavors will need a longer steep to really shine through. Baked good for me are kinda right in the middle just a little steep and they start to show there true flavors.
- As for your ratios The flavor you want to be most present is the one you should use the most of. Like if you wanted to make a pie flavor you'd need flavors for the crust, filling, and topping. So like a real pie you'd want most of the flavor to be filling some topping and a little crust.
- you can judge a bit by smelling the flavor but it won't give a great sense of what it taste like because there is soo much in one place it can be overpowering.
- Yes the pg/vg "can" effect the way a flavor taste pg carries flavor better but I don't really taste too much of a difference myself and normally mix max VG
Hope I was helpful
Do flavors from different vendors have different taste? For example I buy GREEN APPLE aroma by Solubarome and one by MBV. Are they going to taste the same?
No, they will not taste the same at all!
If they all tasted the same then we would only need the cheapest manufacturer.
Take a look on ELR (e-liquid recipes) at the flavour list, search Green Apple, sort by rating. That will show you that not all Green Apples were created equal.
A useful resource for finding the particular vendor to use for each flavor is the Flavor of the Week thread. On these threads they compare the various versions of different flavors. For example, this week is Kiwi I believe. If you're interested I can post the FotW archive.
Looking at the sidebar at the DIY extractions section, and I was wondering about the coffee extraction, with a couple of questions in regards.
I love my coffee, so looking at that section, can I use say Folgers coffee grounds? (Not instantaneous) How about Tea?
I read something about this being bad due to lipids or something, is the sidebar out of date or is this still acceptable to put through my lungs?
Thanks in advance.
The coffee dilemma...
https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/43v73j/the_coffee_dilemma/?ref=search_posts
This thread has a good amount of information regarding the topic you're talking about. Basically, it's worth the money to buy highly recommended coffee concentrates, rather than waste time extracting a sub-par, potentially dangerous concentrate.

Also, I have a large array of fruits and others I would rather avoid listing (30-40 of them, mostly well known and versatile) But if you think you know of something within the brands I listed and believe they work very well in bakery recipes, please let me know.
Looks like you've got a lot of the good staples already (FA Cookie, Apple Pie; TFA CCGC, Apple Pie; CAP Sugar Cookie, NYCC, CDS; INW Lemon Cake). The only other ones I might recommend are FLV Chocolate Deutsch, FLV Pound Cake, and INW Waffle.
Ahh, FLV, I haven't gotten into them much as they are much more pricey than most. But the Chocolate Deutsch has peaked my interest. Would you happen to know how it compares to CAP, Double chocolate by chance? I will obviously seek out some reviews of it and if I end up adding it to the arsenal, I will definitely have to solo test it before use. But, any insight before hand is greatly appreciated!
I've noticed INW, Waffle is apparently a very potent flavor! Would you recommend making a 5-10% dilution of it for easy of use, Or could I get away with just using it pure?
As for the pound cake, you got me there.. Not exactly sure what pound cake is supposed to taste like, so I might have to try and find some to eat up before trying the flavoring!
I haven't used CAP Double Chocolate so I'm not sure how it will compare, although I think that one is more of a straight chocolate flavor. Chocolate Deutsch is more of a german chocolate cake; real nice cakiness to it. I gave a pretty in-depth review on it if you want to check that out.
You will definitely need to make a dilution of the INW Waffle. 10% should be diluted enough. That is unless you plan on doing large batches where you can put like 1 drop in 100mL lol.
Think of like the pre-sliced little pound cake squares you would get at a grocery. FLV Pound Cake is like a dense moist cake with a very slight note of anise. IMO not a show stopper, but I've used it successfully in recipes and it takes a lot of the guesswork out.
FLV is my favorite flavoring manufacturer. They are a little pricier but I find them to be one of the more concentrated flavor houses (and consistent across their entire array of flavors), plus it's still not as expensive as some of the INW Flavors -- most notably their YC line.
That looks like a really nice collection of bakery flavors already! The only things that seem to jump out at me as missing "staples" are INW and/or JF Biscuit and TFA Graham Cracker Clear.
How is INW, Biscuit? I see it in tons of recipes but have yet to add it to my list. I ended up opting for FA, Cookie instead.
And as for TFA, GCC I take it that it is similar to the Graham crust in CCGC without the cheesy notes and possibly a more prominent graham flavor?
INW Biscuit and FA Cookie aren't the same or close enough to sub. The reason you see INW Biscuit in so many recipes is because it's an awesome ingredient. I wouldn't want to vape it standalone ever again after trying that once but it's indispensable as a plain, slightly buttery yet dry, biscuity bakery thing. Yes, that's GCC. Very plain, straight up graham flavor. Again, not something I want all by itself, but a valuable ingredient.
Looking to buy a scale off of fasttech to DIY juice by weighing volume. Will this one work? https://www.fasttech.com/products/1410/10001294/1107201 if not, any other cheap scales from Fasttech that would work?
It would work, but that 30 second cutoff might drive you mad. The usual recommendation if you can obtain it is the LB-501 but if it has to be from Fasttech, this one would make your life a bit easier.
Thanks for the fast reply. I chose fast tech due to the price tag.
I'd like to point out a couple of things, if I may. First, Fasttech is on holiday right now and the earliest they'll ship anything is towards the end of the first week of February. Second, the scale doesn't include calibration weights like the LB-501 does, nor does it come with a 10-year-warranty like the LB-501 does. If something happens to the Fasttech scale after 6 months and you need a replacement, you'll have to buy another one. Finally, if you're serious about making your own e-juice, don't get cheap. You're saving a lot of money in the long run anyways; put some of that savings towards making sure that you get quality results.
Anyone have a line on a good black cherry lemonade recipe?
Might sound weird but in my younger years I would make a packet of Black Cherry kool-aid and dump a packet of Crystal Light lemonade in. After it sat for a few hours it was primo; nice black cherry flavor with that little bit of lemon on the finish. I want to replicate something similar.
What can I do to get my flavors to taste more intense, none of my DIY juices have the same punch as the juice I bought. I usually make 70/30 juice and steep for at least 7 days. Below you will find the recipes I have tried so far, I really want to get a Applie pie working but so far they all taste, well meh...

Hi,
Ive done about 3-4 Sessions of diy. And i'm enjoying a lot, in love with the experience. But i find myself with some doubts that i would like to ask here, since i've only made it so far with the big help and infos on reddit and youtube.
So basically i would like to know
1 - I've made clones and high rated recipes around the internet. Did the right step, weight and everything. I loved most all of them! But they dont taste so "sweet" as pre-made liquid e-juices i've bought. I don't know why, it just seems like they find a good taste and have a good "sweetner" that makes everything seem better , more "candy like" than my clones and my own recipes. So the first question is, should i tryadding sweetner on this recipes that i think are not sweet enough? is there an specific sweetner that you advice for like Fruits and other for Deserves, Creamy-like stuff?
2 - Is there any topic for like the TOP rated flavors of all the time? Or the top single-dual falvor recipes? Cause first of all i like to make my on creations so if i have like the "top rated" flavors in my hand, i dont waste time buying the flavors that "looks" great. I know i can search on flavor reviews but maybe if there's any complilation of best flavors, most used flavors or something like that i would love to see. Also the top simple recipes. I don't see a mechanism of searching for like "top rated 1-2 flavors recipes" on e-liquid recipes.com or something like that. Any ideas?
3 - edit: I forgot about this one. In Brazil we have 2 sources of U.S.P grade VG and PG. One that is cheaper and other that is more expensive that is like 90%+ pure. It's a little bit more expensive and you dont find it so easy. I wonder if this best grade and even more pure VG and PG makes that much difference on the juice taste or quality. Is it worth spending more on that super pure VG and PG?
Thanks a lot for your help and attention!!!
-
Yes, add sweetener. 1-2% should be good.
-
Yes, get the best ingredients you can. You're inhaling this stuff so better quality is important.
Thanks a lot. I think you sent me the wrong link about flavors, can you check pls?
Also is there something like "top single or top dual flavor diy?"
Tyvm!!!
Hi,
Im not new to DIY. Have been doing it now for at least 6 months or so, although i dont create many of my own flavors, instead using flavors from here and several other websites.
I am aware of the whole VBIC peppery taste that some people have. I made up a small (120mls) of Mustard milk around a month ago, and it tasted amazing. Blew through the whole bottle in a few days.
Recently made a new stock order and obviously i got some more VBIC to make a bigger batch.
My issue is that now, a month after initially trying several mixes with VBIC in, and not getting the peppery taste, thats all i can taste now, in any recipe that i do with VBIC, including just on its own.
So im not sure what to do now, ive seen people comment that VBG could be a good alternative, however it needs several other flavors in to help it along. Would CAP VBIC be any good to me?
Also i have searched on here and not found anything definitive, so apologies if this has already been asked a few thousand times.
Thanks
The damnedest thing is I used to get the peppery taste from VBIC and now I don't anymore. I've heard CAP VBIC is a good alternative to the TFA one, so you can certainly try - I personally haven't tried it yet. How well do you shake the flavor bottles BTW?
Haha how strange. I always shake all my bottles before I do anything. Maybe 30-40 seconds.
Yea I thought CAP was the best alternative. I don't suppose you know if I can use the same amount? So a recipe with 8% TFA can I just use 8% CAP?
Thanks for the reply.
I got that peppery taste when I started out as well, no matter what percentage the VBIC was at. After a few months, that sensitivity almost disappeared. I still can't enjoy mustard milk because I get that peppery taste in it, but I can enjoy several other recipes that utilize VBIC, and I can taste the VBIC tasting like it smells in those recipes.
I think the percentage used may be an issue here, maybe also the way the flavors interact with each other. So while you might want to buy an alternative to the TFA version, don't throw that flavoring out, and do try to use it in other recipes that require it at a lower percentage.
Hey there, new to DIY, and I am going to be making some 90/10 or 80/20 VG/PG juice and was wondering if TFA flavors are going to be bold enough?
I am buying the first Kit on the First time DIY page and am wanting vanilla/cream, strawberry, blueberry, and lemon flavor to mix so I have 4-5 different bases to learn to perfect before I start mixing flavors.
My goal is to be able to get a cheap source of not terrible, overly sweet 6mg juice as I am trying to quit smoking, and maybe even make a few unique flavors that I can't find in shops.
I am using the Cloud Beast tank on a Fuchai 213 and my vaping habit has gotten quite pricey lately, so any feed back would be GREATLY appreciated so I don't end up having to buy new flavors.
Yes and no, depending on what flavors you are looking at. What kit are you talking about?
Heartland Vapes kit, they have The Flavor Apprentice, Flavor West, LorAnns and Heartland Vapes flavors
What is the most reliable site to buy premixed eliguid base?
Which country are we taking about here? If you're somewhere in Europe, I would recommend chefs flavours as they have the best selection of premixes concentrates.
Edit: after rereading your question, I realized I misread it - morning grogginess. Again, assuming Europe I would highly recommend Pink Mule.
I am US
Hey I'm new to this. I was wondering how to listen to the podcasts live. I made a discord. NuKix31.
Hi all,
Just looking for a bit of guidance really.
I tried using a premixed vampire vape kit and pink man concentrate to make some juice but it tasted off no matter what % I tried.. which kinda put me off DIY.
I'm thinking of giving it another go and buying all the ingredients from vapable. Looks like I can get everything to get started for around £23 with 3 flavours. I was planning on getting bubblegum & pear CAP and watermelon TPA, making 5ml of each and then a mix of melon & bubble / melon and pear and see if any of them are any good. Is that a good idea or a waste of time / money?
I've watched a few vids and they all 'steep' differently, is there a method that works best?
When I look on recommended recipes they all require 6-10 flavours, I don't fancy buying all of them and then not liking the output.. plus most of them are for dessert/milk/breakfast flavours which really are not my thing.
My ADV's are Pinkman (vampire vape), Bubble melon (chubby) and Neon green slush (far).
Are there any clones for any of these? Or a really good melon / fruity vape?
Thanks :)
So it may not be you're flavors that are making you mix taste "off" It may be your nic or pg/vg blend If you were to list what you are using it would help with an accurate answer.
Most people look up recipes to start off with on the side bar there is a great link from BobbySavage about first time orders and mistakes which to me was very informative.
On the sidebar there is a search "link" where you can search for 2 or 3 ingredient recipes. you can use the same search "link" to find the clones you are looking for.
Yes, trying a mix of melon and bubble ~~come~~ gum and melon and pear is a good idea. The best method of steeping is time. Just shake them up very well, store them in a dark room temperature place, shake them occasionally, until steeped. If you look here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/wiki/first_order_flavors
and scroll down past the recipes, you'll a bunch of recipes that use 2 to 4 flavors. I don't know about those clones but there are plenty of great melon and fruity vapes. I think you'd enjoy just about any Watermelon flavor more than the TPA one, especially LorAnn's Watermelon (Colorless) if you're looking for a candy-type watermelon or FA Watermelon if you're wanting a more realistic melon.
Hi /r/DIY_eJuice
I have two questions.
-
I already mixed one batch but I got to thinking: the bottles I bought (10mL) to test each individual flavor are plastic bottles from Bull City Flavors. Should I be using glass? (Flavor effects? Health reasons?)
-
Should I wash out these small bottles before mixing and if so how would you recommend washing them? I know if I wash them they have to be completely dry before mixing and the bottles are so small that it would be difficult to dry them manually.
Thanks!
LDPE or PET plastic is fine. what you get from bull city is fine. there are just some types of plastic (like ones syringes use) that will react with some types of flavors but they are more rare too. I wash my bottles out with water then an alcohol/distilled water mixture then quick rinse with just distilled water. they dry out fine after a day or sooner with a fan on them
Perfect response! Thanks. One more question...the batch I already mixed which I (stupidly) didn't wash beforehand...should I trash it?
I want to start to make my own ejuices to be sure it's healthy and tasty. I found some nbase and flavors on the internet and it seems cheap. From what I learned having more vg is better for vapor production and I want a 90 vg 10 pg nbase with no nicotine. Is there something wrong about the numbers? I watched dozens of DIY ejuice videos and all they do is putting all the receipts in a bottle and telling the viewers to shake it somehow. Am I missing out on something? And also can I use regular flavors(for cakes, etc.) in my eliquid or am I supposed to buy expensive eliquid flavors? Please help.
If "regular flavors (for cakes, etc)" is referring to flavoring you'd find at a grocery store, then absolutely do not put that in your eliquid. Not sure where you got the notion of "expensive eliquid flavors" the flavors used to make eliquid will typically cost about .30 to .60 cents a (30ml) bottle. After a dozen videos on DIY, those basic facts should have been covered... perhaps you're watching the wrong videos? Try this one.

A note about me: I started vaping 5 months ago, I use an MVP 20W with an Aspire ETS tank, I vape at 5.3 volts and that is perfect for me. All of the vaping terminology about mods and attys (whatever they are) is completely foreign to me, but I am willing to learn. I like fruity flavors as you can tell by my list. I don't even like chocolate irl. Yes, I realize that potentially makes me a psychopath. I have tried a few dessert juices but did not like them at all. They were just weak tasting. My favorite juices have been Unicorn Poop by TVC, and Dragonfruit and Cereal Crunch by Cloudberry Vapors. To start out I got mostly fruity juices so I can basically get the feel for what on earth I'm doing and for how the flavors all work together.
So that's it, I will embark upon placing tons of orders tomorrow after work if I've got everything correct. Thank you SO MUCH to this subreddit, it's really an amazing resource!
if you like fruity vapes you should definitely look into getting some INW Cactus and INW Shisha Strawberry. i'm guess by the amount of flavors you have and total cost that you're getting these all in 10ml? might i suggest that you get TFA Strawberry ripe and FA fuji in 30ml? they go with everything and once you get the hang of mixing you'll be wanting to try everything.
TFA Blueberry wild... if you're going to get that you might as well get TFA Blueberry extra as they're used together commonly to make a more well rounded blueberry. and if you're going to get TFA BBE... you might as well get FA Bilberry as they're also used together a lot. and if you're going to get TFA BBE and FA bilberry you might as well get TFA blackberry because... of fuck. this is how all of my flavor orders end up being over budget. you've already stopped reading haven't you.
No this is great this is what I wanted to know. I added a few flavors and increased the size of a few flavors. I need every berry! Thanks!
no problem.
the way i TRY to manage my budget is to set a semi-hard amount. i keep an eye on here, atf, and ELR for interesting recipes and add the flavors i'd need to a wishlist. then i throw everything i want this go round in the basket. then i start flipping through the recipes i have saved and see what jumps out at me and what flavors i need. then i look at those flavors and see what else i can do with them and what i'd need to add to do it with. if i'm not THAT excited about the recipe or i need too many extras to make it work i'll send that flavor to the back of the line. then i start with the least versatile flavors and pare those down until i get a manageable order out of it.
then i do it all over again. then when i'm satisfied i go back and add more flavors and hit checkout before i can talk myself out of it. it usually takes me 2 or 3 days from when i decide sufficient time has passed since my last order that i can order again (i made it 21 days this go round).
to quote what my gf just told me 10 minutes ago, "you need help. get help."
Good looking list and really good prices. Amazon is real funny, you can buy something today and come back two days later and that same item is 30% less. My scale was $36 with free prime shipping. You may want to pick up a bottle of PG - with an Aspire tank I'm guessing you vape 50/50 pg/vg blends.
food for thought - I've been vaping for 19 months. when I first started (for the first 3 months or so) I had an Istick 50w with an Arctic tank and couldn't imagine needing another mod or a different tank. fast forward 1 1/2 years and I have a collection of more powerful mods, a bunch of rebuidable tanks and a bunch of atty's. an "atty" - or atomizer or RDA (rebuildable dripping atomizer) is just a device (very similar to you tank) where you build your own coils and drip the juice directly on to your wicked coil - it greatly increases the flavor. Still even with a more powerful mod I rarely vape over 80 or so watts. your tastes will likely change over time too. or not. it's all good either way.
Yeah I've had that happen to me at Amazon, too. Used to be they'd refund you the difference within a certain time frame but I heard they stopped. I use http://lightningdrops.com/ to get emails when certain things drop in price there because they do it cyclically.
That's what I've heard about vaping, the different types of coils and things make flavors come through differently or better. I vape max vg all the time, I think I have a bit of a pg sensitivity.
> Pipettes 500 from Amazon - $11.24
you don't need them with a scale and flavors from BCV are in dropper bottles, get more bottles with that $11.
> Safety glasses
why?
Every single flavor bottle has a dropper? I wasn't sure of that.
>why?
Safety first. Also I left the labcoat, stethoscope, pocket protector and Delorean off the list.
> Every single flavor bottle has a dropper? I wasn't sure of that.
10-30mls from most places come in plastic bottles with dropper tips
So Have you looked up some recipes to make? an easy mistakes to make is buying single flavors you like and not flavors that combing to make better flavors. And as far as learning what gear is and what stands for what http://vaping360.com is a great resource for leaning about vaping and suggested gear. as well as the Basic vape and e-cig sub-reddits.
Hope this was helpful.
You may want to buy a box of gloves from Amazon instead. 10 pairs is literally 20 gloves. You will definitely need more if you plan on mixing more than 10-15... Uh... mixes.
I'll update this with a link to the gloves I bought shortly.
Also if you're going to use menthol crystals maybe look into PG for dilution.
Also, for bottles, I highly doubt 15 10ml bottles will do you justice. I'll also update with a link to the bottles I got off Amazon last time. They came with a funnel. General rule is but twice as much as you think you'll need.
Bottles: 50 ldpe - I now wish I had bought 100 instead. They come in a large sealed bag. Lids and bottle tops in separate bags. Funnel is in the caps bag. They're child proof and I haven't had a problem with them breaking or anything.
Gloves - can't get much simpler than gloves. I got mine in black because I like the color. I think 90% of my wardrobe is black. Only issue I've noticed with them is it's sometimes difficult to tell where on the gloves the spillage is but that's entirely due to nicotine being colorless and my color of choice. Comes with 100.
On size of the gloves: I have somewhat smaller hands than the average dude, or at least between my friends. If you have big hands large will not cut it. Xl->XXL would work better.
Also I'd definitely consider getting an RDA for testing. It will taste different between a tank and RDA. Generally I find that my tanks mute the flavor a bit. Anything with side airflow is what you're looking for.
Thanks a lot man. I think I'm gonna go with Eucalyptus & Mint INW instead of the menthol crystals for now, just to keep things simple.
Thanks for those links, I will def get more gloves. Those bottles look good, I was hoping for glass I don't know why but I will try the ldpe first.
What's a good alternative to CAP Vanilla Custard V1 and what kind of percentage should I use in comparison?
Feeling like I just don't get on with this flavour and it's giving me some off notes in most recipes so would really appreciate any suggestions on what I could sub it for.
It sounds like you may not be into the profile of vanilla custard or you may not be letting it steep long enough. IMO Cap VC v1 is the best custard though it needs about 2 weeks steep and best at a month. How long have you let it steep in your mixes?
What is the recipe? I just want to see if it could be another ingredient or just the %'s that are causing on off flavor
2% in this one https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/6222#cannoli_contest_entry_by_goldbones
4% in this one https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/10644#simple_sugar_cookie_by_id10_t
Certainly the second is a well respected recipe, at about 2 months I still get an odd taste from it.
My taste buds would say it's the Sugar Cookie not the custard. It took months and months of mixing before I could stand that flavor
If you are 100% sure it is the custard then I'd recommend FA Custard. From my old notes I liked this one better in the beginning. For what it's worth this recipe turned me on to custard and this one for cookie.
Your palate just might not get along with CAP Sugar Cookie which would be a shame. Here's what you need to do... mix up single flavor testers of both cap sugar cookie and cap vanilla custard v1 at around 3% each. Let them sit for a bit and see which one is causing the problem.
Do I still need to wear gloves if I'm going to exclusively make juice without nicotine?
999.9% no
000.1% maybe if you are handling some super concentrated chemicals like /r/deeper_diy

Hi it's me again. I opened my scale, the LB-501, and the bowl that came with it doesn't fit snugly on top of it. I was wondering if this is the case for any of you who also own this scale. I don't even need this bowl at all for e-juice purposes, do I? Do any of you use the bowl?
It did come with calibration weights and I did search the sub before asking. Just curious. Thanks!
The bowl doesn't really serve any purpose in juice mixing, though it's useful if you're portioning foods, or something similar. Just place your bottle directly onto the scale and tare, now you're ready to get started!
Thanks! That's what I thought but I'm kinda OCD so I just needed to have that seconded by an outside source. 'ppreciated.
I forgot to mention another thing in regards to calibration weights; make sure your calibration weights aren't missing any pieces on the bottom. Mine actually were missing a bit out of the bottom, good thing I had purchased a LB series scale previously and had intact weights.
I've seen multiple references to "FA Custard PI 3.14". Is it just a funny name for "FA Custard"? I can't find it on flavorarts website.
Edit: Nevermind, I found out. It's a different flavor and I bought the wrong one. No wonder my Lemon Tart clone tastes off. The recipe listing is not correct on alltheflavors…
/u/queuetue ^ ?
Are you blaming me because someone used the wrong flavor in a recipe? :)
I know I'm posting in here a lot and I'm sorry but, I just noticed that my scale might be missing some extremely important things that would make it a scale.
I don't even know how that didn't immediately jump out at me earlier, but yeah. Guess I'll return this completely useless piece of plastic. Can't even contact the seller, can only return it to an Amazon locker and spend money on a new one. sigh
Whats the issue? It looks fine. you haven't taken the cover off to reveal the scale part if that's the issue.
This.
There's a silver button on either side, towards the front of the scale. The buttons are the release for the cover.
I'm slightly confused here, so excuse me for asking silly questions, what are you missing?
I am missing one human brain in my head! It has a cover and I had failed to detect or open said cover.
Do some flavors fall off at higher wattages?
Yea, the temperature of the coil can have a big impact on flavor. Too low and you won't taste much at all, too high and you can get the same effect on top of some other issues.
I tried the SMOTHER U marshmallow recipe I found on here. I was using my tfv8 as I cannot seem to build a proper coil myself anymore. It just tastes like vanilla cream to me. Wondering if it was because the beast requires such high wattages.
OK, so, I recently picked up a scale and have a quick question. I may be overthinking this, anyway... I buy my base pre-mixed. I sucked up 1ml of the base in a syringe, and weighed that. It comes out to about 1.21g
So if a recipe calls for 5% of a flavor, and I wanted to make a 30ml bottle, I'd just do 1.21g x 30 = 36.3 5% of 36.3 = 1.815. So I'd just essentially add 1.815g of said flavor. Is this correct?
Someone else correct me if I'm wrong..
No, because the weight of 1ml of premixed base, which you are using as the basis of this equation, doesn't weigh the same as the flavoring. So, to multiply 1.21g x 30ml only calculates the weight of 30 ml of premixed base, no flavorings included. You'd have to calculate the weight of 1ml of the flavoring and multiply this figure by 1.5ml (which is 5% of 30ml). Alternatively many people assume 1ml:1g for most flavorings for convenience. Then you'd have to multiply 1.21g x 28.5ml (the remainder of 30ml from earlier), in order to figure the amount of base needed.
Either way, calculating things like this is needlessly complicated. There's many calculators out there like Alltheflavors.com or E-Liquid-Recipes.com, which are both excellent resources.
All of the calculators assume you're mixing the nic/pg/vg. I can't seem to figure out how to use them while using a premixed base, and my lack of sleep isn't helping :)
https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/2iq3km/botboy141_guide_to_mixing_by_weight/
This should help, it provides instructions on how to mix by weight, and I believe it also will walk you through using premixed bases. I'll look into getting the calculators working with premixed bases for you.
I assume that it is the joy or biscuit but my bronuts was ruined by a flat beer taste. Any way to adjust the recipe you recommend. I was thinking of dropping the joy and biscuit and adding the 2% Bavarian cream
It could be that you're more sensitive to FA Joy than most. Some people despise that flavor and say any amount of it ruins a recipe. Others love the stuff and use lots of it. I'd suggest reducing it rather than eliminating it entirely, maybe cut the amount of it in half in your next batch? Stale beer definitely sounds like a recipe that's been over-Joyed, not Biscuit's fault. I like Bronuts with 2% Bav Cream added better than the original, so to me that part definitely sounds like a good idea. FW Hazelnut also makes an excellent addition to it.
When you add 2% Bavarian to it do you reduce the CAP CGD to 5% from 7%? I've seen it done both ways and wondered what your take is on it? Also, some FW Hazelnut does sound amazing with Bronuts!
I've tried it both of those ways as well as several others and my favorite way was the original recipe with nothing reduced, plus 2% TFA Bavarian AND 2% FW Hazelnut. Because a cream-filled chocolate covered donut is better than a plain one and a cream-filled chocolate covered donut with hazelnuts on it (or covered with hazelnut-chocolate instead of plain chocolate) is even better than that.
Gotta say, all the hype about blood orange and cactus is justified. After a year of just eyeballing some basic three ingredient mixes I finally caved and bought a scale and a bunch of new flavors that all arrived this week so last night was mixing night.
I love citrus flavors and ended making a nice citrus mix with 6% FW Blood Orange, 3% Sicilian Mix (citrus flavors) and .5% IW Cactus.
First time with any of these 3 flavors and this (to me) is a great little S&V. Will do some small single flavor tests too but couldn't resist going mad scientist last night.
Thanks for all the help, it's very much appreciated.
Anything obvious I'm missand ing to add to a citrus mix ? Will experiment adding a few other flavors into this but just asking what else might compliment a good citrus mix.
No, nothing obvious. Really just depends on which direction you want to take it in. If you want, this thread:
https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/5qgqji/weekly_suggest_a_recipe_for_my_flavors_thread/
is for listing out all of your flavors and getting suggestions on what you might like to do with them.
Have you had any DIY successes yet?
I've had 3 mix sessions since 1/18 trying out a bunch of recipes. Most of my juices are custards so they need a bit more steeping. Still I've had a couple of successes - Mustard Milk has been great with 3 days of steeping. I quit cigs with Unicorn Milk and after four straight months of nothing but UM I was done with strawberry juices. Wasn't sure I could vape strawberry again but was pleasantly surprised MM was so good. Several juices are "good" now and I expect them to be "great" after a full steep (Grant VC clone, Kreeds Custard, Custard King).
Bonus: I've had the same cotton in my goon for a solid week - granted it's not the only atty or tank I've been using but my coil isn't even close to gunked up yet. I have to wonder what's in commercial juice that I need to dry burn my coils every 4 days or so. Is the added sucralose found in most commercial juices the gunk culprit?
Edit - I've re-tasted just about all the juices I mixed. Most of them have gotten better with several contenders for a 120ml bottle. And with that I am officially done with commercial juice.
Congrats on your DIY success. Sounds like you might enjoy some MILFs Milk
Thanks. I have that recipe saved over on ATR - I saw it mentioned in another thread and looked it up; that profile is right up my alley. I have everything but the FLV flavors. will subs work? I don't have any peach but do have CAP & TPA stawberry and VC.
IMO you should always sub whenever you're missing flavors. It won't be the same recipe, obviously, so you won't be able to judge the quality of the original but there's always a chance you'll find yourself enjoying it anyway. And as you find yourself collecting more flavors down the road, you can mix up the original and learn something about how the recipe changes.
I'm making my first DIY order on Wednesday from ecigexpress. Is Northwest VG flavoring any good or should I avoid them? I think I have a PG sensitivity and I'm trying to find companies that use VG based flavoring instead of PG, and NorthWest was the only one I saw on ecigexpress. Any help is highly appreciated.
New mixer here, ready to place my second order on flavorings. What am I missing?

Am I missing something really obvious? Anything that has a better flavoring in another brand?
Edit: Formatting. Also, any luck ordering flavoring from Nicotine River? How is the shipping time for Bull City? My last order was Wizard Labs and I want to try some other vendors.
I'd suggest dropping a few of those flavors. FW Yellow Cake is seldom used anymore, since it came out that they use fructose in the flavoring(burning any type of sugar results in carcinogens.) If you order from ECX, you can get JF yellow cake, the only "replacement" that is out there. Also, TFA fruit circles is very hit or miss, a more reliable flavoring would be FW Fruit rings. TFA hazelnut(and any other hazelnut) is absolute garbage compared to FW hazelnut. It's the standard of what hazelnut should be. TFA Bavarian Cream is much better than CAP IMO, and I feel like everyone should have TFA cheesecake graham crust.
I've mixed a few juice, either my own recipes or others that haven't been that bad, but I'm not sure how to find the recipe for my favorite juice.
My favorite juice is Blueberry Jam Monster, and no matter what blueberry waffle recipe I try, I fail to get that same flavor that is just so great.
Any ideas on how to replicate it?
You need to post this in the Clone Thread. But the description doesn't say anything about there being a waffle taste in it. So you probably shouldn't be going in that direction.
The description says toast but I've never come across a concentrate that tastes like toast or even bread for that matter. Have you?
This is kind of 2 questions. When I look up recipes most have nicotine, I quit using nicotine, so how would I convert that into the recipes I look at? Secondly, when I try my own recipe I feel like it isn't "mixed", in what order or way should I put my vg and flavors in? (Flavors then vg or other way around?
Whatever calculator you use will give you the option to have 0mg nicotine. Which one are you using?
The order that you mix the ingredients doesn't matter. If you feel like it isn't mixed, then you need to shake it more/harder.
Hey, i'm thinking of using a scale to mix by wieght and was wondering if this would be a good starting option Scale
It's got an auto-off feature, which can be terribly frustrating. If you've got an additional $10 to spend and Amazon Prime, I'd highly recommend getting the American Weigh LB-501, especially since it comes with an A/C adapter and the one you listed ships from China.
What are some simple TPA flavors?Where can I find recipes for 1-2 concentrates for TPA?
This is the flavor wiki. It has quite a few reviews on various flavors on different brands. Just scroll through until you find the brand and flavor you are interested in and click on the name. Most of the reviews have flavor pairing ideas listed on them as well. Hope it helps :-)

EDIT: Added the wiki link that I forgot to paste. Thank you /u/rklimek76 for helping!
If my nicotine is pretty harsh do you think going max VG will help out the throat hit at all? Ive been doin 65/35 or 70/30
Increasing the VG in your liquids would help with any throat hit associated with PG, but I don't think it will help with the harshness of your nic. Just curious, what color is your nic and how does it smell?
It smells awful like actual asshole and is a bit yellow. I got it from nicotine river and the first bottle was harsh out of the box, they sent me another on and that was harsh, but i tried it out just to see, and the third bottle they sent me I havent opened. I hate to ask for a 4th bottle or a refund because they have sent me so many. Ill just cut the losses if you think theres no use.
Yeah, I'd say they're oxidized and pretty much beyond saving. I'd recommend spending the additional money to get some quality nicotine. I personally use Carolina Extracts, and while they're expensive, I've never noticed even the slightest taste of nic in my liquids.
I've been looking around with no luck.
I'm trying to find an e liquid calculator that can save recipes, but needs to meet the following conditions
It has to have both an Android and PC App that will save data to a profile. So my recipes would be available to me from either platform I log into.
I find using websites on my Phone rather annoying. I would like to be able to add and/or modify recipes as soon as it comes up in my thoughts. No matter if I'm checking out Reddit at home or sitting on the can at work.
where are the recipes from the mixing competitions? MIXXED round 3 and World Mixers round one?
And I have shaken the bottle till my arm hurt but it still had no flavor and can physically see the flavoring sitting on the bottle some times.
What's the recipe? Also, you can make a small mixing "whisk" to fit into the chuck of your drill with a pair of pliers and some lower gauge Kanthal, I personally use one and I prefer it to shaking.
I tried an orange dream. I also just made an account on alltheflavors and put my stock of flavors on there. Is there a way to make it so I can only see recipes I can make with what I have?
Yes, in the menu drop-down you'll see "what can I make" between "needed flavors" and "my flavors". If you don't get many results, adjust the filters to add recipes with 1-2 flavors missing, and possibly try substituting a flavor you might be missing. Otherwise, I'd say try using ELR for finding recipes you can make with your flavors, though it will take a lot of looking through recipes with no reviews and such.
I've been using a premixed base for awhile now but want to finally move on to buying all my supplies separately. What containers do you guys use to store your nicotine long term? I know it's best to freeze them in glass containers, but not sure which glass containers would best fit the bill.
I purchased a 120 ml of 100mg/ml nic from CXT when I first started about a month ago. In an attempt to avoid oxidation as much as possible, I split this into 15ml amber boston round bottles and capped them with polycone tops. At first I worried I split it into too many bottles, but so far I've only used 1 1/2 of those bottles, and I've mixed almost a liter of various liquids.
Where did you find the bottles and tops?
Ebay is a good place to look for bottles and such. This should be a good starting point, though you could probably find them cheaper if you buy the polycone tops seperate, and simply buy bottles with dropper tops; but you also run the risk of buying tops that don't match your bottles.

I ordered 18 of these, with the 3rd cap down (phenolic lined). That was to break down the full liter when I received it.
