Mox - Abstract fruity thingy

A fruit medley that made love on top of a hazelnut and banana cream.

One of my first recipes I was content with, that dates around a year ago. Since then it's has been my girlfriend's ADV and I tried fucking around with it and changing it up, but it has never been as good as this revision. It wasn't created with any particular food in mind, although I have been told that it smells and somewhat tastes like an apple and raspberry granola bar, it's an abstract recipe that was created by having my girlfriend pick up two flavorings and creating a recipe based around it.

Recipe:

  • 2% (FA) Apple Fuji
  • 3% (TPA) Banana Cream
  • 2% (FA) Berryl (raspberry)
  • 1.5% (FA) Hazel Grove (hazelnut)
  • 0.5% (FA) Lime Tahity Cold Pressed
  • 0.5% (FA) Torrone

Notes:

The thing that is definitely up front and carries over entire vape is Fuji (the first flavoring she picked IIRC). I went with 2% of it due to the fact that it's rather strong flavouring and it can easily become overpowering. FA Raspberry is a nice fresh raspberry, not candy-like like INW raspberry or TPA Raspberry sweet, at 2℅ is standing up to the Fuji just fine. TPA Banana Cream forms (the other one she picked) a solid base on its own, while giving this smooth feel that these bold flavors need to not feel completely out of place. At 3℅ it's noticable, especially after a little steep it provides a sort of fruity creaminess like an actual banana has. The last big part of the puzzle is Hazelnut, which shakes the things up and gives more depth to the recipe which is what makes it different from just a regular bunch of fruits blended together. If you wanna shake this up, sub this for some other nut. The little additions that make this stand out for me is the Lime that pushes the juiciness of Fuji and raspberry even further. And Torrone. Fucking Torrone. That thing is amazing. It's complex nuttiness with almost chewy mouthfeel and a little amount of citrusy zing is binding everything together. Both of these are used at 0.5℅ because of the potency of both of them and tendency to stomp over everything.

I would probably call this my best recipe to date. It can be enjoyed as a shake and vape, but it really needs some time for the fruits (and for Torrone) to somewhat calm down. I'd say it's pretty near it's full potential after 3 days steep, and straight up amazing after a week. Bold, bright, yet not cloying.

Criticise the shit out of this recipe please (really!).

Edit: changed up the pathetic notes that I had there before.

Huh, gonna have to try this one. I can usually look at the ingredients and tell roughly what it will taste like, but not with this. Apple will obviously dominate, but the rest, hmm, interesting :)

This looks delicious! Looking at the recipes, it almost reminds me of a chewy nougat with nuts. Can't wait to mix this up, thanks!
