i was reading around here and most people recommend to start mixing with a juice that you know you would like/adv... but i only really like 1 ejuice and it wasnt on any site i tried searching for the recipe ( rainbow nuggets - vapetrik )
so i was wondering if u can suggest me your first timer diy mix that got you hooked on making your own batches
Everyone started with Mustard Milk going back to the 1990s.
While rocking JNCO jeans and sweet wallet chains.
Bombies - nana cream
got a link to this? sry on mobile and wifi sucks ass rn
I got you from memory because the best recipe was deleted from reddit and i had to view the cached version.
~~all TFA~~
7% ~~ripe strawberry~~ TFA Strawberry
5% LA banana (get the yellow one if you can, it makes it look 100x more delicious)
3% TFA dragonfruit
THIS IS A MUST: 1 drop of 10% citric acid for every 15ml produced.
Mix at 30/70 and steep for about 3 days.
/u/altneurose has it right. It's been a while since I've made any and I couldn't find a link.
The most popular version has TFA Strawberry (not ripe), LA Banana Cream, and TFA Dragonfruit.
"INTERNAL CUTTWOOD LEAK UNICORN MILK" or some shit in max VG. It let me learn to truly appreciate a properly steeped juice.
Funny the "Cuttwood Spy" Unicorn Milk was my first recipe too. My favorite to mix when I first started was u/notcharlesman Strawberry Shortcake Bar, I still love that recipe, it's the one that had the most impact on me as a new mixer. I was amazed after I mixed it up and fell in love with DIY ejuice.
Mustard milk, which I absolutely hated. That pepper game too strong.
I get pepper from TPA VBIC too! Let me pick your brains then on what you replace it with? I've been trying CAP VBIC only at the same % but I'm not sure that it is good enough?
so it's "Fruity cereal nuggets topped with the fluffy magical goodness of vanilla ice cream. "
with that description Bedrocket would be a good place to start
these are two of the first things i made when i started vaping/diy and i'm still mixing it every time i run out.
/u/schmobro's Bubba Gum
/u/belikegrouch's Juicy J's Strapple Mint
That Strapple Mint is the TRUTH.
Is it really mainly a strawberry apple? With only 2% Fuji/3% Shisha Strawberry, they probably get drowned out by the cactus. I'll try it sans LA Watermelon (don't have it) cause it sounds good regardless.
I started with a single flavor mix from MBV - Bananas Foster. Got some TFA Bananas Foster, mixed it at 7%, done.
Rip Trippers Rainbow Nuggets is supposed to be a Fruity Pebbles cereal mix. notcharlesmanson has created a very popular mix called Pebbles, Recipe Link here. Cereal vapes are not my thing, so I don't really know what it tastes like. You might want to look into it.
what did it taste like at 7 percent, were you able to adv it without getting sick of it?
After 2 days, it was every bit as delicious as MBV's finished e-liquid. I still vape it. It was my ADV for some time.
I continue the journey with vanilla custard variants and NETs.
I jumped right into mixing myself, no one single recipe for me started. My initial process was single flavor testing of my 60 or so flavors I had on have. 2 nights of tests later I had a solid handle on the flavors on hand and started mixing my own recipes. I also found out that Flv crunch cereal and cap banana cream tastes like Satan's used self pleasure sock.
So I mixed u/skiddkzninja 's lupe while I waited for u/notcharlesmanson 's pebbles and strawberry Shortcake bar to cure. He's a very interesting dichotomy to me. I don't care for pebbles, but keep a Mason Jar of short cake bar at all times.
Then straight into my own mixes about 2 weeks later.
I don't vape a lot of other people's recipes anymore. But I keep a Mason Jar of Snickerdoodle custard form cen Cal vapes, snickerdoodle cookie from u/ID10-T and cutwoodspy's unicorn milk, on top of strawberry Shortcake bar; on hand at all times.
I can't believe that anyone would mention Strawberry Shortcake Bar and my lil snickerdoodle cookie (which even uses CDS and not the superior FLV Rich Cinnamon) recipe in the same breath. Strawberry Shortcake Bar is a freaking masterpiece. Maybe someone who's never eaten one of those strawberry shortcake bars wouldn't get it, but in terms of accuracy to the profile, that is the best thing I have ever vaped. You know how some people have celebrity crushes? Mine is for /u/NotCharlesManson and it's because of Strawberry Shortcake Bar. No... No.. It's even deeper than that. You know how some people who are otherwise perfectly straight have one person of the same gender they'd do gay stuff with, usually some super hot but slightly androgynous celebrity? Yep, NotCharlesManson, naked, in all his fat inbred glory, covered in Strawberry Shortcake Bar... oh my, is it getting hot in here?
/u/runnbl3 , to answer your question, I read the sidebar twice and almost everything else here once before I mixed a drop of juice. So the first thing I DIY'ed was single flavor tests of my first five flavors, because I read that was the way to get to know your flavors. The mistake I didn't know I was making because no one was advising it at the time was not also buying flavors to make some recipes so I'd have something good to vape, too. The "my first order flavors" link in the sidebar now covers that. It's a good idea to find some well-regarded recipes that sound good to you and get the flavors you need to make those, and then at the same time, single-flavor test those and take good notes, so you'll very soon be prepared to start tailoring others' recipes to your own preferences and then crafting your own.
Don't ever sell yourself short u/ID10-T Your Snickerdoodle deserves the same amount of praise as any masterpiece recipe here.
It's still the ONLY juice my wife vapes (I'm kind of butt hurt about it actually)
What the hell is going on around here!?
#Why do other mens' wives and girlfriends love my juices so much?
I don't want to go into details, but this phenomenon has created problems for me in other areas of life... Now it's following me into my DIY ejuice as well? I'm seriously disturbed.
Sugar bear clone I think it was called...
ah yes the sugar bear clone. That and vapz1's milk and honey clone from ECF were my first recipes.
U know, I've still 2 this day never tried any milk n honey recipes... I must get round to it 1 day. If u have tried many different variations, which one Is 'the one' I should go 2...any juice I've ever bought with honey in it has been pretty gross but never had it with milk lol which obviously sounds delicious...
cosmic fog's use of "milk and honey" is just a name. It took me many variations of trying to clone it to realize that. As far as the flavor of the juice goes, it is hard to describe. slight bakery, marshmallow/vanilla, very slight banana, a pyrazine type nuttiness, and something "weird" that makes it almost impossible to clone.
The vaprz1 recipe is good:
-
Peanut Butter (TPA) - 1.5 %
-
Graham Cracker clear (TPA) - 8 %
-
Marshmallow (LA) - 3 %
-
Vanilla swirl (TPA) - 2 %
-
Vanilla Custard V1 or 2 (CAP) - 2 %
but you may want to go lower on the graham (~3), and add TFA banana cream at about 1.5%. I was messing with it a couple years ago, but my interest eventually faded. I do remember someone posting that TFA pie crust hit the "weird" note that my clones were missing but I never tried it.
Notcharlesmanson's Pebbles would be a good one too
Thanks for the mention! While I am very proud of that recipe, I feel as though it would be pretty overwhelming for a new person to start off using that many flavors for a somewhat simple profile. My vote would have to go to Cereally Easy Loops by /u/SkiddlzNinja. 2 flavors. Whole percentages. Tastes great.
This is any easy and delicious one (Not what I started with but I wish I did)

- TFA Strawberry (Ripe) 5%
- TFA DX Bavarian Cream 3%
50/50 VG/PG
My god I hated that mix. But it was mine. :)
Obviously inspired directly from Mustard Milk.
Did that taste like barf?
It tasted like painful sharp red pain.
And also DX Bavarian Cream doesn't taste Butyric, at least not for day 1-4, it doesn't taste like anything. It takes like a 3 week steep for it to get any amount of flavor at all. Most garbage concentrate ever.
I still don't like Strawberry (Ripe), it's just way too strong, or I'm just still using it too strong, I need to start treating it like a FA flavor. Like 2% or something. It's so harsh, it kills my throat, and it's overpowering too.
Ah, ok. Butyric was the assumption I was making, seems I was incorrect. I've never had any interest in DX Bav Cream and don't think I ever will.
That's a weird reaction to Ripe. I've put it in recipes at 5% and after a steep it barely tasted there was any Ripe in it all, just a lot of EM and whiff of ripe berry, like walking past the strawberries in the grocery store when they're in season. No harshness, no throat hit. I'm tempted to think you might be allergic to something in it.
