PURLIUM Manufacturer Abbreviation
submitted over 8 years ago by Tiptup300

Okay it's bothering me.

What do you guys think the Abbreviation should be for PURILUM concentrates?

EDIT: It's actually PURILUM*. NOT PURLIUM. Muh B

How's about PRL.

That's how it's set in the wiki, as I simply followed the same format as Inawera/INW. Not sure what OP is obsessing about.

Wowza, good thought I had there, then. But don't care whatsoever.

NR, PRL like really I'll probably never try them only cuz up here in the frozen North (Canada, eh) we don't get them fancy varieties so easily. LOL.

Lol frozen north, I'm from the frozen north for reals (I'm inuk or Eskimo for the less informed) but I don't live up there anymore, housing is a bitch up there and just the small town mentality is worse than being in high school for my psyche. I'm random.

Sounds good to me

Edit similar to abbreviating Capella to CAP

Until I get considerable pressure, I'm planning on sticking with NR on All The Flavors.

Considerable pressure is mounting.

#HOW'S THIS FOR CONSIDERABLE PRESSURE?

Change it to PRL. Leaving it at NR might confuse some newcomers.

PUR, imo.

Unless they're going to start selling it somewhere else, NR works for me.

by Tiptup300over 8 years ago

Ha, they did such a dumb move starting with NR flavors, then changing the name....especially to PURI-LUM....dumb name.

Plus all the websites that actually already started using them already entered them as NR.

Yes, that's why I'd rather just ignore the name change. It's just marketing, I know the manufacturer changed or whatever but it's still just marketing of that. Your flavors are already NR flavors. We don't have to change our abbreviation just because your sales team wants us to.

I don't know that is the proper way of thinking of things? Doesn't matter the reasons for the name change for me, but it does matter that new mixers have the least confusions as possible. Which means calling them by the names they are sold under. Those of us experienced mixers can easily transition to a new name for it as we either know about it, or are deep enough into diy to easily figure it out. Speaking up for the amateurs, I think we should change the name to what it's sold under, Purilum. Just my 2 pennies. And my vote is for PUR btw.

Nobody was really using the flavors at that point though.

Since Purilum is more reputable in regards to making flavors and has all the paperwork to prove they're creating these flavors from a molecular level we decided it'd be best to switch names before they became too popular. We didn't want people becoming curious on how we are making these flavors. We thought being straight forward with the customers and stating that Purilum is exclusively manufacturing the flavors and not us would be the best decision in the long run on a professional level.

That might get confusing... Wait... I'm already confused...

I think this will get confusing. I like PRL or PUR.

Let's keep it complicated like TFA/TPA, so NR/PUR.

I'm confused about the providence of this company, and what they actually do. Their website doesn't even claim they make flavors, just formulate mixes for customers and do cartomizer/bottle filling (sounds like a competitor to molecule labs). Are we sure these are unique flavors? Or just combinations of other brands? Can't seem to find any actual information.

They make flavorings for NicotineRiver.

....They are fairly weak flavorings. I've only purchased one (Paradiso) and it seems fairly unique..... not necessarily sure-if-useable yet. But they're definitely-possibly an up and comer for sure.

> purchased one (Paradiso)

that is my least favorite because it is very weak. Their Strawberry Biscuit is the best strawberry jam flavor with just a hint of butter. I just mixed up four more flavors to test.

Dude, the coconut in the Paradiso blew my freaking face off. Like wooooah. It's like a coconut milk explosion in my mouth. It's so wet. And I just wanted a cookie with a subtle texture of coconut.

Purilum makes the flavors from scratch on a molecular level. These are not a combination of any company. These are all directly from Purilum.

How about PU? Jk
