Hi guys, just wanna share with you guys my first recipe and I think it's not bad at all.
First of all I would like to apologize for my bad command of English because I am Chinese.
All right, a little background story here: I like OMG a lot and been trying to develop a decent strawberry-kiwi recipe for months.
I am pretty sure the kiwi part from OMG is FA kiwi at low %, but the strawberry part is tough to find. I tried TFA,CAP strawberries but no luck. Those strawberries are either too candyish or too earthy. What I want is a natural strawberry with a hint of sour and bright taste. Anyway, after I tried FA strawberry I knew that I may find the winner.
Here is the recipe: > FA strawberry 1.5%
>TFA ripe strawberry 4%
>CAP sweet strawberry 2%
>TFA orange cream 0.25%
>FA kiwi 3%
>TFA sour 0.5%
>TFA dragon fruit 0.75%
(steep time:SNV but 3 days of steeping is highly recommended)
Strawberry:
Well, the combination of 3 different strawberries create a fresh enough but a little bit on the artificial part strawberry. The orange cream adds some sour and bright top note and will blend together with strawberries after 2 days.
Kiwi:
FA kiwi at 3% is pretty high. It is definitely more "noticeable" than the kiwi in OMG. I like it this way lol.
Sour:
I am not sure about the % of sour since it could mute flavors at high %. After some trails, I find 0.5% of sour just adds a very tiny tangy taste. 1% will mute flavors and make juice taste bland.
That's all about this recipe, hope you guys can mix it and enjoy it!
Your English seems pretty damn good btw. Thanks for the recipe.
Thanks bro!
Only have one mistake I think you said .1% at the end about TFa sour and I think you meant 1%. Wouldn't have known you weren't a native English speaker if you hadn't told us!
Nice. Strawberry kiwi is a good profile and this looks like a tasty take on it.
As long as you have other things in there to keep them from being too dry (and you do) FA Kiwi and FA Strawberry seem made for each other. Nice looking recipe, thank you for sharing! And I would never have known English is not your first language if you hadn't pointed it out.
i'm going straight for a 60mL. thanks for sharing, looks great.
i have a recipe similar to this but without the sour and dragon fruit, also no cap sweet strawberry... but strawberry kiwi is such a fantastic flavor. also re sweet strawberry, try fa blackberry with it. the sweetness of the strawberry goes so nice with the tart of the blackberry. keep blackberry at minimum though, like 1% or less.
