Purilum Watermelon
submitted over 8 years ago by mysticrosellDiketones, Schmiketones

Percentage Used: 7%

Equipment Used: Troll RDA with a wickless single SS .8 ohm Clapton wrapped parallel with 26g SS at 19W.

PG/VG: 30/70

Steep Time: 6 Days

Aroma: Medium strength watermelon Bubbilicious bubblegum.

Flavor Description: Juicy artificial watermelon. This tastes just like the Jolly Rancher Candy, just not quite as strong. I think it will be spot on at a slightly higher percentage. This is also going to be delicious with the Jelly Candy. Very close to the Bubblicious gum as well if there is a bubblegum flavor available to complete it, if it even needs it.

Compared to Lorann's, which is my favorite watermelon candy, this beats it hands down. PUR is much stronger and has that slight tangy bite in the background that is missing in Lorann's, and is more complex over all. It also seems more juicy tasting. Would I buy this? Yes, I would get this over LA.

Off Flavors: None

Throat Hit: 2/10

Pairings: Gum, hard candy, jelly candy, gummy candy, taffy, spearmint, menthol?

Notes: I'm thinking 9-11% for a SF and 2-6% in a blend.

Dont wanna be all negative and paranoid, but you're a new poster and you write up all these reviews, mostly about purlium brand and they're ALL oh so freaking great. Kinda seems fishy to me... :/

I'm not a new poster...been posting for months. Look up my other posts, did a bunch on Real Flavors a few months ago. There just hasn't been a lot of info shared on newer and/or more obscure flavors. Sharing what I know...And they are not all so great. Lemon and bavarian cream both suck. And some other are ok or average but not amazing.

And there is nothing wrong with being cautious, I usually am. Just hoping more people add to the flavors in the comments so we can all get a broader range of opinions. These are to start discussion, not be the only one. Everyone likes different things :)

Maybe you should just take his reviews for what they are and utilize the information provided instead of thinking there's some kind of 'agenda'. And how do you conclude he's a new poster when he has dozens and dozens more posts than you?

Ditto! Purilum Watermelon is better than LA. It is very strong so mixing 3% with other melons is perfect for me.

How does it compare to FW candy watermelon? I didn't think there could be a watermelon more spot on to jolly rancher than it. Been wanting to try purlium

I'm sorry again :( Can't seem to help much tonight...lol. I haven't had FW's, only the LA.

Just adding my first impressions. Finally, a watermelon I like right off. I mixed 3% and am trying it about 24 hours later. It does remind me of Bubblicious. It has a slight throat hit/nose burn at this point. Maybe needs a couple more days due to ethanol base or something. I'm hoping its not due to the compounds in TFA Watermelon, which wasn't harsh to me, but was to a lot of people. Going to try this in a Tigers blood mix.
