Purium Nilla Wafer with Milk
submitted over 8 years ago by mysticrosellDiketones, Schmiketones

Percentage Used: 7%

Equipment Used: Troll RDA with a wickless single SS .8 ohm Clapton wrapped parallel with 26g SS at 19W.

PG/VG: 30/70

Steep Time: 7 Weeks

Aroma: Medium strength vanilla, milk, animal cracker?

Flavor Description: Vanilla Malted Milk is what I taste. Definitely getting the milk from this with a vanilla malt back note. I'm not getting vanilla wafer from it at this percentage. I am getting a slightly sweet, mildly creamy milk with a faint hint of cookie dipped in milk. Nice body and fullness in the mouth feel as well. Also similar to the milk left in the bowl after eating cereal. I will have to try this out at a higher percentage to see if the Vanilla Wafer flavor comes out more. Very interesting malty flavor that I think will be very versatile in adding different things to a recipe depending on what you mix it with.

Off Flavors: Malt?

Throat Hit: 1/10

Pairings: Shakes, cookies, cakes, cereal, creams, custards, nuts, tobaccos, pudding, toffee, coffee.

Notes: This is not a SF for me, probably 1.5-6% in blends.

Have you done a lot of mixing with these flavorings? Interested in knowing how they blend with other flavoring companies.

No, not yet. They were just released a couple weeks ago and I haven't gotten beyond the SF testing stage. Based on what I've tasted so far, I think they will mix well. The only one I'm not sure of is the Tropical Blend as it's already so complex. And I'm probably not going to test anymore with the lemon or bavarian cream. Too many others that are much better.
