Purilum Condensed Milk
submitted over 8 years ago by mysticrosellDiketones, Schmiketones

Percentage Used: 7%

Equipment Used: Troll RDA with a wickless single SS .8 ohm Clapton wrapped parallel with 26g SS at 19W.

PG/VG: 30/70

Steep Time: 7 Weeks

Aroma: Faint milky cream, sugar.

Flavor Description: This tastes like a sweet dense thick cream. It has great mouth feel and body, the cream flavor being more prominent than milk. I would describe it as moderately sweet cream on steroids. It's very close, but missing the richness and extreme sweetness of Condensed Milk. This will be a really versatile flavor that will pair well with almost any flavor.

Off Flavors: None

Throat Hit: 1/10

Pairings: Desserts, custards, coffees, bakeries, cookies, vanillas, cereals. This will be a really versatile flavor that will pair well with almost any flavor.

Notes: This is not a SF for me, 2-6% in blends.

I need a really good condensed milk. My coconut macaroon attempt was a disaster, most people seem to have an aversion to FA condensed milk. So, you would categorize this as a standard cream rather than something that has that signature condensed milk flavor?

While this is a very good and rich thick cream, I would describe it as in the middle of the 2 I guess. It's more than just a regular cream, but less than a condensed. This one is very very close, but RF edges this one out for a true authentic sweetened condensed cream. They will both be used for different blends as each is unique. Sorry, wish I could have helped more :/

Just happened to be looking through and saw this. FA Condensed Milk is good, just very strong. Do a 10% dilution (1ml concentrate to 9 ml pg) of it and start with that at .5-1% and move up, if you get it.

Thank you for all the notes! It seems like you've really enjoyed most of the flavors you tried. I'll have to order some soon!
