My juices taste really dry! Except for menthol based juices but I can see why is that. I tried a waffle recipe I saw here and it was good for a few days then it got really dry and harsh (I've also noticed some of my other juices are acting the same way). Can you give me some advice?
Harsh is probably too much flavoring or bad nicotine. I notice when something has that dry taste it usually needs some sweetener added. Not a lot just a little bit
Should I purchase Ethyl malitol and sweetener or can I just purchase one of them and be cool with that?
I get this with a few recipes, things that can help
As others have said ethyl malitol can help as well as marshmallow flavours.
For dry fruit mixes a few drops of inawera cactus really smoothes things out.
Finally for really dry mixes 1 drop of magic mask per 10ml gets rid of dryness
Should I purchase Ethyl malitol and sweetener or can I just purchase one of them and be cool with that?
Can you post one of the recipes as an example? It's hard to tell what could be causing that outside of bad nicotine without that information. If you used TFA Belgian waffle, I've heard that stuff takes a month to steep or longer. I personally don't like it. I find it bitter and harsh.
Okay the recipe I used is the following: TFA Belgian Waffle 5% TFA Blackberry 4% TFA Vainilla swirl 0.5% TFA DX sweet cream 0.5%
I also made another one TFA Key Lime 5% TFA Vainilla Swirl 0.5%
The first one tastes dry, and the flavor seems too harsh. The second one tasted incredible as a shake and vape then it went down and the lime flavor went muted. Now it's just dry but a bit more bearable than the waffle one.
Thanks!
Looks like Belgian waffle and Key Lime are your culprits. I would let the waffle mixture sit at least a month before making any final judgements. It's pretty gross without steeping. (most bakery or bready mixtures require steeping) Lime is a harsh flavor in general. You may need to either decrease the percentage and/or increase your cream to make it more palatable.
sounds like one of the flavorings or the nic you are using is old.
also, post one of the recipes that is giving you problems so we can help narrow it down

Key lime and Waffle are both of your culprits im almost 100% sure
I don't use either of the flavors above 1.5% ever. Too much flavoring can be harsh and also mute after a few days. Seems everything your describing is solved by taking your main flavors down a couple notches.
Maybe you could just add a little water. I read that one time. Hope it helps!! And good luck!

How old are your concentrates? I've definitely noticed this with one of my mixes but am no closer to understanding why.
I've heard people just throw EM in but I don't know why.
Adding em in your mix arbitrarily doesn't help you understand why your flavors do what they do, it solves the symptom and not the problem. The most likely cause is too much flavoring and too short of a steep.
My dry mixes are steeping by default, I'll never use them. Some are nearly a year old and no different to day one
Check your nic - old or mistreated nic can have a very dry and harsh taste.
If you maybe added too much nic, it can also have a similar effect.
If all else fails, you can add some EM, that tends to smooth out the mix a bit, just don't go higher than 4% or so with the EM, as it can mute your flavours.
A small amount of sweetener (like .5%) can also make the juice taste 'wetter'.
