Just found a bottle of Grants Vanilla Custard I mixed 7 months ago!
submitted almost 9 years ago by estherPrice

I just had to share this with people who would understand. Just found this bottle hidden in my closet almost 30 ml left. I've never steeped a bottle longer than a couple months. Didn't care for the recipe much at first, but it is divine now.

Any of you guys have any experiences past 7 months? I'm gonna have to hide some bottles from myself now.

Was it black as midnight on a moonless night?

I've never been able to hold out for more than two weeks waiting for custard to steep....

Had some DIY unicorn milk sat around for 6-7 months and that was finally my lightbulb moment as far as steeping goes. Mind sharing which grants recipe you used, OP? Ive had some sat around for the same 6 months and while it tastes good, it's fairly dry.

Here is the recipe I used http://imgur.com/gSdbd2r Heres the original http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/11224/Grants%20Vanilla%20Custard%20my%20way

But I would say it's still kind of dry

Haha that's the same one I used. At least the dryness is consistent huh?

Same here, have a few month old bottle of apple buttah and cuprian laying around, both were a bit novelty and nothing I really wanted more than a couple of times.

Found a short 30mL of a supposed Beard 05 clone from about 10 months ago. It sure is great, it was something I made without nic for the wife.

  • CAP NY Cheesecake 10%

  • CAP Sweet Strawberry 5%

Been a while since I had that one. I could never let it sit too long, even though it tasted really cheesy I still loved it. It this one worth steeping for a while?

If you're into that profile, for sure. It's a rather boring mix, but it does age very well.

Im actually vaping on pretty much that same recipe, though went a little light on the ny cheesecake so it's kinda sweet and the cheesecake doesn't really come through much

I think 6months is the sweet spot for steeping. The juice we use to buy in B-M sit on self's along time befor we get our hand's on them.

What I started doing is making 120 ml batches... Usually I'll make 2 120ml batches of the flavor I like... I hide one of them from myself and let it steep for months.

I had a strawberry yogurt flavor that steeped about that long and it was fantastic. Tasted just like actual creamy strawberry yogurt.

That's a good idea, I've yet to go that big, but I should

When I figured out a recipe I loved I just bought a gallon of VG, 120ml bottles of all the flavorings I use for that recipe, and now I can just essentially make an infinite amount of the stuff. You'll save a lot of money, and you can save money by using that as your ADV and then use the money you save to buy more DIY supplies to invent more flavors

That's the way to do it, but I haven't really found a recipe that I'm on love with yet. I like rhondonite a lot, but it has too much throat hit for some reason, I make 60ml of DX Nana Creme, but that's as big as I've gone. Which recipes are your favorite?

Mixed 300ml of the Nanner bear clone recipe. After 5 months, it tasted fuckin awesome

Only with premiums. When I first started Vaping my dad gave me a ton of vape it forward bottles. He's really picky so he had a lot of good bottles he tried once and didn't like. If assume some of them were up to a yr and a half old because he vaped that much longer than me

CAP VC 1 is my ADV, I mix a litre at a time so by the time I'm running low at least some of it has had a couple of months to steep

just VC1? What percentage do you use?

by obj111over 8 years ago

~8% though I've recently started adding 3%-6% of sweet strawberry to it for something different

I had some of BotBoy's Vanilla Custard that made it 8 months, and that shit was incredible.

(anyone ever hear if he dropped anymore recipes?)
