INW Gold for Pipe
submitted almost 9 years ago by wh1skeyk1ngThanks for reading this flair

Setup: Velocity clone; dual twisted 24awg Ni/28awg kanthal @ .27Ω; cotton wicks; 45 W

Testing: Inawera Gold for Pipe @ 3%; Aged: 27 days

Flavor description: Rich, smooth, blend of light pipe tobaccos with heavy notes of lightly spiced honey. Before a steep, I swore I tasted real metallic gold.

Off-flavors: Nothing really off unless you count the metallic gold you get before a short steep. However it is "gold" for pipe, right?

Throat hit: 3/10 pretty smooth with a heavy feel

Uses: Good as is, but would work in a blended tobacco base too.

Pairings: other preferred tobaccos. Could be complimented by small amounts of nuts, caramel, vanilla, possibly some of the more buttery custards, or even some light floral flavorings.

Notes: I don't like the idea of trying to doctor this flavor too much, simply because of its delicate complexity. I think this flavor works fine as a shake n vape, however it does change a bit over time leaving little to be desired as far as flavor either way IMO.

I'm trying to make my way through all of the INW tobaccos. Got Dark for Pipe as my first in the "for Pipe" line. Might make this one my second.

11days later:

Holy shit this is pretty fuckin good solo.

This might be everything I wanted TFA Black Honey Tobacco to be. Mildly sweet, and more tobacco flavor.
