TFA Honey problems
submitted almost 9 years ago by ilikecock

I recently bought FW Milk and TFA Honey along with some other flavors to try to clone Cosmic Fog's Milk Honey recipe. When I got the Honey, I thought it smelled weird but didn't think much about it, when I mixed my recipe the Honey tasted absolutely atrocious. Did anyone have this problem? What suggestions do you have for a good sweet honey flavor? TFA Honey tasted and smell like sugarless burnt honey which tasted more like poo to be totally honest.

I hope I'm not breaking the no clone request rule, just looking for recommendations for a good honey flavor to use.

I'd rather not talk about it.

TFA Honey is often suggested to noobs sarcastically because it sucks so much. A practice I disagree with. It's one of the worst flavors ever made. It's probably best to leave that in a drawer somewhere for a friend in need.

Also, fun fact: Cosmic Fog Milk & Honey doesn't actually taste like milk and honey. It's a biblical reference. It's actually more like a marshmallow peanut butter something something cream.

It's so bad. Thanks for the tip about cosmic fog. I got that a few months ago before I started mixing and I don't want to buy another bottle since it was pretty expensive, so I've been trying to recreate it and didn't do enough research on TFA Honey.

I really like FLV Milk & Honey. It has a nice creamy smoothness to it. It might be a good starting point in your adventure.

Just to help you out a bit: I tried some TPA Toasted Marshmallow and it is definitely in Cosmic Fog's Milk and Honey.

Honestly I feel like TFA Honey is salvageable. Maybe through dilution or drops (1 drop per 15ml). Then again mix at your risk, after trying FA honey I see no reason to go back.

Is FA Honey closer to actual honey? TFA Honey might be salvageable. But I don't want to waste any more nic and VG on that. It smells worse than it tastes after the exhale.

Yup FA is a very authentic tasting honey. It's very potent tho, I use it at 0.2% - 0.4%. You can also try TFA RY4 asian for a more accurate honey (yes I know it's tobacco but the tobacco is very mild)

Oh wow that is very potent. I might try that for my next order. Thanks.

Do you think mixing FA Honey and TFA Kentucky Bourbon would approach making a nice Honey Bourbon?

You could probably accomplish that with just FA honey

I actually purchased 10mL recently just because I thought it can't be that bad. I have yet to try it out. I plan on doing a review on it.

Honey is often problematic, also with other vendors. I don't know the one from TFA but a common problem is it smelling like piss, as well as your clouds and gear. TFAs black honey however is a flavor I really enjoy without those issues. If black honey isn't for you either, their caramels and brown sugar might be something worth looking into.

I could be wrong but I think Black Honey has that piss smell, too.

The flavor might be similar but I never noticed that stench.

TFA Honey might be the worst flavor of all time. FA Honey is amazing and only requires about 1 drop per 10mls

It most definitely is the worst flavor ever made.

I've never had Cosmic Fog's Milk & Honey, but people have said my Milk & Honey kind of tastes like it.

The FLV Milk & Honey, though delicious, doesn't really taste like honey but it is somewhat similar. I've also heard TFA Black Honey tastes a lot like honey but I haven't tested it yet. On the nose I get mild tobacco notes with a lightly floral, almost burnt honey taste. Actually smells pretty damn good.

Do you think TFA Marshmallow would be an okay substitute for the Toasted Marshmallow?

1 points

by CheebaSteebaalmost 9 years agoFrugivore

No, they are wildly different. TFA Toasted Marshmallow is kind of like TFA Vanilla Custard to me without the Vanilla. I tried it with marshmallow and was not a fan.

I've not tried the rest, but I picked up a bottle of DIYFS Honey with my last order from them; it's not bad, but use very sparingly.

TFA Honey is notoriously bad and generally considered useless and unvapeable.

FW Honey is where it's at.

Here's a recipe I made a while back that always gets good feedback. http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/605505/Honey,%20I%20Vaped%20Your%20Yogurt

Honestly I would try and dilute the stuff even if you are going to buy a new honey flavoring. Idk why people would recommend a bad tasting flavor, such a dick move.

If you spent enough time/searched around you it would become quite obvious that it is a running joke around here. And it's always recommended jokingly. Never in a serious manner.

Yeah, I made the mistake of not checking here before hand. Never again.

I don't find it humorous sorry.
