FA 7 Leaves Ultimate
submitted almost 9 years ago by wh1skeyk1ngThanks for reading this flair

Setup: Velocity clone; dual twisted 24awg Ni/28awg kanthal @ .27Ω; cotton wicks; 45 W

Testing: FA 7 Leaves Ultimate @ 3%; Aged: 3 weeks

Flavor description: After about a week, this flavor is kind of a very mellow, dry, dusty leaf tobacco with hints of sweet licorice like spice. After 3 weeks, the spice really comes out and turns a bit thicker, almost like a hint of real molasses. This flavor has kind of an overall woodsy taste, but isn't "woody". Kind of like walking through a forest during a drought.

Off-flavors: Reports of alcohol or perfume at higher percentages. Personally, I get nothing "off" here @3% unless you were expecting "7 leaves" to be a green plant with 7 leaves :)

Throat hit: 6/10, dry, but still mellow

Uses: Decent shake and vape by itself at a lower percentage if you enjoy a bag of Bali Shag rolling tobacco or something like Drum or Top in a can with a subtle sweetness. Also good as part of a cig tobacco base.

Pairings: Other tobaccos, nuts, AP, maybe a touch of your favorite fruit or cream if you prefer.

Notes: This definitely works well as a shake n vape if you're after something resembling rolling tobacco. It is very light and mellow, but steeps into something slightly thicker, remaining fairly mellow.

I see someone is on the "downvote everything in the sub" train tonight. Not sure why that particular person has chosen to live that life, but I hope they find peace and solace.

Added to the "My first tobacco order" write up. Bout to go dig this flavor up and make a quick tester to refresh my memory.

Thanks! I was wondering about this flavor, I've been eye balling it the past few weeks. Great write up.

Thanks for the review. I've actually been pondering using this in a recipe I've been developing and from what you've described it fits the profile perfectly, so again , thanks !

I used to love Drum and Bali Shag - those were my go to smokes in my rolling days. I probably wouldn't enjoy this so much these days, but something like this when I was first getting started would have been a godsend.

I accidentally made a pretty decent cigarette juice with this flavor once. It was for this guy at work that I didn't like, but kept asking for juice, so I threw some shit together real quick without taking any notes or anything. I tried it and ended up keeping it and regretting that I didn't write that shit down.

This one sounds good for adding to my in-process Djarum Special clove cig replica. I actually bought two packs of the things to get that real taste refreshed in my memory. The after steeping notes sound like they fit with the flavors I tasted in the real one after I tried it.

And yes, I felt like I needed to shower and put on fresh clothes after smoking my first combustion cig in almost 4 years. Ew. I'm never going back.

Nice info and writeup. I wonder if it's close to ecblends 7leaf. Which I would love to make. Found a bottle I thought I finished and it's perfect for a base for me to experiment with.

With menthol. It's almost like a tea and ultra ligh but sweet.
