Small update on dulling flavorah flavors
submitted almost 9 years ago by timonvonk

Here https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/5gsf2m/dulling_out_of_flavorah_flavors/ I made a note that some Flavorah flavors dull out after some time. 4 days later, the red burley actually suddenly came out really, really strong (at 3,5%). The bourbon and honey are still gone, but hot damn, the burley hits fantastic like a strong, slightly ashy, nutty cigar.

So my two cents, leave the Flavorah bourbon and honey in the shop, the red burley is not bad at all.

Edit: So the steep of the whole concoction is 3,5 week

/u/baphomet assuming I spelled that right.. Maybe we should test this 3.5 week theory for Cured Tobacco too.

PS. OP, thanks for the update.

I'm eager to try it but have yet to pick any up... I will be picking up some PG sometime soon, so maybe then; still workin on the flavor shortlist, though... with x-mas looming, the wallets a little thin.

Ya holiday season is tough on the wallet lol. I'll be giving this Cured steeping theory a try at some point. I have an old tester from 2 months ago as well which I'll throw in a dripper and see what it does.

IIRC that one faded within a week right?

I have a tester of Cured at 4% that's been steeping for 2 months. Message me back and I'll throw it in a dripper tomorrow with fresh wicks and report back.

According to flavorah's website, they have designed their flavors specifically for ejuice. As part of that design, they have a faster steep. I don't know if that helps any or not, i have never used them. I was checking them out and came here to see what others think about them.

Why didn't you just post in that thread?

It's old, people wouldnt read it. Claiming flavors dull out is impactful for a flavor company. Rectifying a partial error is the proper thing to do.
