First off, we would like to thank each one of you who have provided flavor reviews for our wiki. Even if it's only one review, it has helped build our total reviews to just over 300 total reviews since the inception of the Flavor Review Wiki.
We have averaged a little over 50 reviews a month since the project's rapid expansion upon start up. 3 months ago, we added 10 flavor reviews total and thought the project was going to be a flop. Currently, our Flavor Wiki entries are back in a steady incline with nearly 10 reviews being provided here each week.
If we continue to grow our wiki at the current rate, we would be looking at close to 570 total reviews by June 1, 2017. Ideally, that same rate would land us around the 850-900 range of total flavor reviews a year from now. To me, that's pretty amazing stuff.
Now, regardless of trends, we want to continue to encourage anyone here to use a source format by clicking source and copying the text box shown in green, and test a flavor or two for review! Also, as some of these review posts near the 6 month mark, they will no longer be open for comments (reddit rule, not the sub's) and are welcome to re-reviews in order to provide any new discussion on the flavor. Please include a link to the old review in your post if you decide to do one of these.
I would love to contribute to this but I have a major difficulty describing what I am tasting.
If you're up for investing a lot of time learning, you can check out /r/deeper_diy to learn some about what the actual chemical composition of the flavorings is; that way you'll be able to use concise language to describe flavors.
At least that helped me.
Feel like I'm in the same boat here, my palate does not seem fantastic. I can test a few in a B&M where other customers are talking about all these different flavours they're getting and it's all muted to me, only occasionally do I find a liquid that hits me hard. When it comes to single flavour testing I'm experiencing a similar kind of issue.
