Setup I used both a recoil with flavor cap at .23 ohms using 60 watt power and a griffin 25 with fused claptons @ .29 ohms at 60w to test this flavor.
Testing: CAP Butter Cream @ 5%, 70/30 VG/PG, Steeped: 10 days
Flavor Description: I don't know if I should call this rich buttery sweetness or sweet buttery richness lol. It is a very good, slightly sweet butter cream frosting. It isn't over the top sweet like a cake frosting out of a can but it is nice.
Off Flavors: There is none to speak of. This flavor is very authentic to its name and has noting weird going on at all.
Throat Hit: 3/10. The first few puffs after having a break from this does get a little stingy in the throat but quickly fades.
Uses: I use this flavor normally to compliment vanilla cupcake or LA Cream Cheese Icing when I want a frosting type flavor.
Pairings: This flavor is meant for bakeries, cakes, cookies, it could even be used to make some creams or custards richer. Any fruit you can think of that would be good with some light frosting on it, throw it in there.
Notes: I can see this flavor being a good sub for butter if you don't have any. I have used it before in place of butter and it has worked marvelous. It is very rich and buttery but does have a slight sweetness which could work very well in bakeries.
Second Opinions: ELR seems to like it and agree with me, but says it is strong so use it sparingly
Darren Cole and his fb mixing team used it in their circus cookies recipe to moisten up the cookie
Woah. Are you and /u/concreteriver synced up?!
wow, great minds think alike lol.
/u/Wh1skyK1ng, how are you handling multiple reviews of the same flavor? Will this be listed as "CAP Butter Cream again" in the Wiki or should mlNikon just post a link to her review in /u/ConcreteRiver's review since he posted his first (by a few hours).
At the beginning, I think we decided against multiple wiki entries for the same flavor to avoid clutter.
Last couple times this came up, I just asked the 1st person who posted the review to include the 2nd persons in a link at the bottom of the text. Either that or if the 2nd person just wants to link it in the comments stating they did one too, that is fine. /u/ConcreteRiver , /u/mlNikon
Recipe:
Three Banger Custard by avtomat5150 on ELR.
This is a solid, simple recipe if you are a custard fan. I am not bit I mixed it anyway and tasted it as a shake and vape but didn't like it. I thought I'd give a 2 week steep to smooth it out a bit but it just wasn't for me.
The feedback in the comments is positive though so if custards your thing, give it a mix.
