Hey there, first off, this subreddit has always been a positive source of feedback and information. Thanks again for being the chillest e-cig/vape community out there.
I have been developing an e-juice calculator called Vapor Lab for a while now and I am preparing to release a huge update to hopefully finish off Windows version 1.0
Anyway, on to my topic: I recently decided to integrate the Russian language to gauge the difficulty of supporting foreign locales and it wasn't that difficult. As an English speaker it is difficult to look for the demand other countries may have for my product. What languages would you like to see?
Current plan for foreign language integration: Spanish, French, German, Russian
And in case anyone asks me for the thousandth time, yes! I finally added support foreign currencies, that update will come out tonight or tomorrow. Sorry it took so long guys
Off-topic. Not knowing anything about your software/program; what stands out against "competitors" versions? PS. I'm going to download it when I get back home.
Hello! I made this back when only ejuicemeup was the only option available so I wanted to step it up a bit. Now there are plenty of solutions but they are kind of clunky in my opinion.
The best feature I have that others have not seemed to integrate yet is the ability to make your own flavor concentrates. So if you have a recipe you really like that is 10% flavors you can make a 30ml bottle of concentrate and use that to easily make 10 30ml bottles of ejuice.
Also I have recipe versioning, not really sure if the other calculators do it the same way but I like the way I have it set up.
I made this to satisfy my needs for a better calculator, I hope you enjoy using it, I apologize in advance for the bugs haha. Thank you!
Follow up question to the previous poster, but one issue I'm currently having with my current Juice Calculator is:
If I forget whether or not I've pressed the "make juice" button, there's no way for me to check how many/if I've pressed it already.
For example, I need to make 4 x 30mls of the same juice with various nic concentrations. I usually press the 'make juice' button and reduce my inventory, but sometimes I get distracted and forget if I've pressed the button. I can see the day that I last made the juice, but no indication of how many times I have made that juice on that day.
Does your calculator provide for something like that?
Additionally, another issue I've run into is that I can set an alarm level for when I'm running low on a flavour/nic/base, but I don't get a notification on the recipe when making that recipe will put me below that alarm level.
Does/how does your calculator react/notify people in a case like that?
Thanks for any answers because if your calculator can help with those 2 issues, I would love a versioning system haha
Currently there is a panel that shows the last time you made it and how much, it outputs like this:
"Made 2 days ago - 30ml(18%) Batch#"
The function of this panel will remain the same, but I am thinking of changing up the display for it.
Regarding your issue with inventory ingredients.. Inventory used is tracked but I think the system needs some refinement. I could display this a number of ways, I'll make it an option in the future. For now I think I will have the whole flavor line turn red. Or maybe just part of it, I'm not sure exactly, how would you like to be notified?
Any way to add a specific about on concentration to this. Say I want it to make 30 30ml bottles or 20 50 ml bottles? Love this calc. Need more flavors added to the calc too. But so far I love it. The concentration part is what made me initially download it. Love it so far.
anything new on this??
I have a huge patch almost ready, do you have lots of custom flavors or lots of recipes? I completely changed the database schema and old database files are not compatible at all. I switched the index to GUIDs for flavors and recipes so they would be unique everywhere.
I think the new version is stable enough, but I was waiting on building a module to convert the old beta dbs to the new version. You know I do owe myself a break from regular work to work on Vapor Lab, look for an update real soon!
Yes I do have some in there and because this is still in testing phase I have been just messing around with it. Mainly use it for the concentrate. One thing I noticed how the duck do u add a component? I.e. pg..vg..nicotine. the vg is under flavors. Which it shouldn't be.
i know your still testing alot of stuff for it and all but i would really like to see a cleaner way to add flavors to it, maybe your implementing it into the new patch, idk. i would love to help and test but i dont know how much is changing. im on the forum if u wanna hit me up there or just pm me.
