I started doing this a few days ago and it has saved me some time, I'm just sharing because it could be useful to anyone who is bored of washing bottles used for single flavor/small batch testing... Testing in contact lens cases!!!! You know, the usual green/white ones! They have a 4,5-5ml capacity when topped with liquid and
- they are much quicker to wash and clean
- they dry within minutes after washing (and you can wipe them if you're in a hurry)
- presicion scales respond faster to weight changes inside them (I really can't find a logical explanation for that one)
- they can be clearly marked with a marker with no need for stickers
- you can put lots of them in a box and shake them all together
- you now have something to do with those million cases you have if you wear contact lenses!
Just be sure they're clearly marked. I don't want to imagine how putting nicotine in your eyes would feel!
I splashed 30 mg strength in my eye once. It was the stingiest eye sensation I've ever felt.
Fun fact it's actually your eyelids that sting when you get something in your eye. The eyeball contains no cells for feeling, however your eyelid does. Thought this was a oddly interesting fact wanted to share.
As someone whose had a corneal abrasion, I beg to differ. "Corneal abrasions, like skinning your knee, causes a lot of pain and sensitivity to light. The cornea is a has a lot of nerve endings. Scraping across the superficial layer of the cornea exposes a lot of these nerve endings causing severe pain. It may be one of the more painful conditions you can experience. "
oh man my gf accidentally put menthol nasal solution in her eyes instead of eye drops this morning.... was not a good time....can only imagine nic in the eye
(50) 10ml bottles for $15
Use them once and throw them away.
Where are you getting this deal? China?
EXC and Bull City both have bottle deals in about this price range.
presicion scales respond faster to weight changes inside them (I really can't find a logical explanation for that one)
Maybe its due to the flatter nature of the shape which means more suface area touching the scale which means better readings... jus my opinion im kinda bothered by unanswered qeustions lol
This is a 2009-10 era pro-tip. It was even more useful when you could dip the wick of a 306 atomizer directly into the juice.
This is a great idea!!
I am placing an order for some of these bad boys.
Not sure I'll even wash them at $0.13 a piece.
They're only $0.13 a piece if you order 10,000 of them.
What do y'all think of these centrifuge tubes? I'm getting ready to do my first DIY order. These are cheap, should be easier to clean than a boston round shape, and you can even buy racks for them very cheaply:
https://www.amazon.com/Plastic-Centrifuge-Conical-Bottom-Graduated/dp/B00UJGNU1G/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&srs=10182249011&ie=UTF8&qid=1480007884&sr=8-1-catcorr&keywords=centrifuge+tubes
These are what we use, works great
I'm so relieved to hear you say that. I went ahead and ordered them instead of the plastic bottles. I read as much as I could about what they were made of, but was still a bit nervous that they might be the wrong kind of plastic. I also got two racks to hold them.
I figure the first six to eight weeks will be just testing and steeping, so I got very few actual bottles.
I was trying to find a good tobacco for my sons n we made up 27 diff flavors n let them steep for a month locked away in our juice cabinet, they were easy to label n the little holders are great. Made it super easy to just go down the line adding each flav then vg/pg
