After many iterations, I landed on a complex chocolate chip cookie that not only tastes great--but also fills the room with the smell of perfect fresh out-of-the-oven cookies!.
If you like your cookies sweeter(I do!), Add 1 drop CAP Super Sweet per 10ml..
COLLHOUSE TOOKIES
FW Butterscotch Ripple 2.3%
FA Cookie 1.5%
TFA Cotton Candy 1%
TFA Double Chocolate Clear 5%
FW Double Dutch Twister 1.5%
CAP Golden Butter 0.2%
DIYFS Holy Vanilla 1.5%
FA Meringue 1.5%
CAP Sugar Cookie 2%
NOTES:
•FW Butterscotch Ripple: This is a perfect chocolate chip cookie foundation. I chose this over TFA Brown Sugar because of the more authentic brown-sugary, buttery cookie dough deliciousness. It's just PACKED with the flavor I was looking for. Such a versatile flavor. Very creamy as well. I think you'll find that combined with the other ingredients here, you will taste NO butterscotch. But you WILL taste chocolate chip cookie batter(which will become "baked" later on in the recipe)
•DIYFS Holy Vanilla: No other vanilla concentrate on the market mimics real vanilla extract quite like Holy Vanilla. The choice to add this flavor was painfully obvious.
•FA Cookie/CAP Sugar Cookie: These 2 flavors meld into a wonderful "baked" odor and flavor when combined at these percentages. I literally have had friends tell me how the vapor of this recipe smells exactly like chocolate chip cookies. This was a happy accident when I finally settled on these percentages for both concentrates.
•TFA Double Chocolate Clear/FW Double Dutch Twister: I chose TFA DCC over INW Milk Chocolate because I'm one of those people who taste nothing but artificial "powdery" chocolate with INW. TFA DCC, in my opinion, is nearly the perfect chocolate chip flavor. It comes off as a true semi-sweet chocolate chip as found in real baked cookies. I included FW Double Dutch Twister to complete the true feel of "melted" chocolate chips in a warm tollhouse cookie. FW DDT provides that oily/fatty film left behind on the tongue and throat after biting into a fresh-out-of-the-oven chocolate chip cookie. I'm a firm believer of combining "like" flavors together to reach a desired goal. And these 2 combined, DO create the perfect melted chocolate chip flavor I've always sought out!
•CAP Golden Butter: The inclusion of this flavor is obvious. It mimics the soft butter whipped into your cookie batter prior to baking. Not necessary(so you can omit it if you don't want it due to AP/DA reasons), though I liked this recipe including a small percentage of butter better than without.
•FA Meringue/TFA Cotton Candy: These 2 ingredients form the eggs beaten into your cookie dough prior to baking, as well as imparting a white sugar note that needs to be included for that authentic Tollhouse taste!
I've noticed a few posts lately about people who don't want to make recipes with 6-plus ingredients. If that's what you prefer, that's great. But for anyone preferring more complexity, I hope you will give this a try & let me know what you think!
NOT a shake & vape! 14 day steep(BEST at 18 days+). 70VG/30PG

/u/enyawreklaw - Yeah, I'm gonna have to ask you to go ahead and review this one. I need to know whether your white whale has been hunted down and slaughtered by /u/arpeggiator8472 aka SixStrings.

Nice looking recipe, Arpeggiator, thank you for sharing it!!!
Thanks so much ID10-T. And thank YOU for your encouragement!
haha will do! Will report back soon with analyses!
Even if your sense of taste says she missed the mark somewhere (such as in the combination of chocolates) it looks like she might really be onto something with the Butterscotch Ripple instead of the more obvious-seeming Brown Sugar, doesn't it? I wouldn't tag you to come see any and every recipe that calls itself a chocolate chip cookie, but this one really looks a cut above to me, especially in the cookie base department.
Looks pretty good. Going to have to order some flavors, but that's nothing new.
I would recommend avoiding super sweet though. Sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate are preservatives. Potassium sorbate is a skin, eye and respiratory irritant. It also MAY damage DNA. Sodium benzoate may have ties to hyperactivity and us being phased out by potassium sorbate.
Not trying to alarm you, but.. The more you know
Damn. Awesome write up. Your notes make this sound fantastic. This is one of many recipes that make me sad I can't get holy vanilla where I am. I'll probably mix this up with a substitute but the way everyone here talks about this concentrate makes me so jealous I can't get it.
Was just curious why you used double dutch twist instead of double dutch chocolate.
Because it seemed to my perception that the white chocolate in DDT gave the TFA DCC a sort of fatty feel that felt kinda "filmy" aspect that melted chocolate chips have. I had tried different white chocolate concentrates as well as Double Dutch Chocolate and none of them did that for me. Not sure if that makes sense... (I had to check this post three times because the various chocolate names confuse me! I actually PUT Double Dutch Chocolate down in the recipe when first posted by accident!)
I just tried this after a 19 day steep and have to say this is incredible! I had everything except the holy vanilla so subbed in vanilla swirl, I'm sure it would be better with the holy but maybe next time. Thanks for the great recipe! I've been diy for about 4 months now and really appreciate all of the great recipes I've been able to try from this forum. This one might be my all time favorite vape - I really do taste fresh chocolate chip cookies from this - thanks again!

This looks good, but I don't have butterscotch ripple, is there something specific about it that made you pick it over another butterscotch?
Yes. Its in the description. First paragraph.
