If you list the specific flavors you're using, that would help. Are you referring to TFA French Vanilla Creme in your question?

For your first four questions I am going to recommend getting a scale and mixing by weight. As for the RDA and Pico, yes you can do that. Just make sure you get a 22mm RDA.

1. I have a 1ml syringe. Only used for nicotine.
2. Not sure, but probably something like .05-.1 grams
3. I don't. Since I mix buy weight I don't really care about the labels. Nail polish or clear tape should work fine.
4. No idea, mixing buy weight is so much easier. No need for graduated cylinders.
5. Yes you can as long as it's 22mm. I usually have a single coil rda on mine. Build higher ohms (.5+) Your B+M doesn't know shit it seems.

1-4, A lot of people will recommend mixing by weight. I do, it seems convenient to me.... certain elements seem more conveienent mixing by volume...but honestly weight to me just seems looooooooooooooads quicker/easier/less cleanup/cheaper over time.

Something to consider.

For #5 I would possibly go to a different B&M store.... 75watts is more than enough, honestly 40Watts would be on the low end but still more than enough if you build conservatively. Maybe the guy really wanted to make a big sale? 50watts I feel is around the sweet spot for most average vaping.

EDIT: Random, but heres a great mod at a good price, it's a very simple mod, totally nonadjustable, but for that I like it. It always outputs the same wattage or voltage, not sure which, about ~~50 or 60 watts~~ 100 watts I guess?. One of my personal favorites. What you build for it is what you get out of it. And it has all the typical safeties built in plus a light that shows you the current battery status. And amazing battery life.

I haven't personally been especially happy with any TFA or CAP flavors that I've tried as a single flavor, but I have really enjoyed some INW, FA, and FLV flavors that way. Are you from a place where only TFA, CAP, and maybe FW are readily available to you?

Others have said they like 8% TFA Strawberry Ripe, 8% TFA Banana Cream, 5% CAP Blueberry Cinnamon Crumble, 6% TFA Strawberry, 8% CAP Vanilla Custard V1, 4% CAP Harvest Berry, and 8% TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, to name a few, all by themselves.

Yes, the half-wick method is an excellent way to test flavors.

Look around to see what others are using it at rather than just going blind at 5% across the board. Some flavors that are wonderful at much lower or somewhat higher %'s are going to suck at 5%.

As for the nicotine, people have different thoughts on that but I always put it in mine. I'm going to be vaping it with nicotine anyway, might as well test it that way. But that's just me.

There's no wrong way to do single flavor testing. Some folks prefer to be very thorough and test different concentrations at various points in time. Personally for me, I tend to do it more along the lines of how you're doing it already -- I do tend to look at ATF, ELR, and notes in here to figure out what relative concentration it's going to work at -- but for me I'm more trying to get a handle on a flavor others already know well, more than figure out how to integrate a brand new flavor that isn't well-documented.

/u/ID10-T gave great advice as always, I just wanted to mention something on the nicotine.

I used to test with nicotine included to see how it effects the final flavor, but I had a bad habit of adding too much nic. And I only mix 5ml samples so that extra drop or two would usually make a fair bit of difference, in a bad way. So I stopped using nicotine in my single flavor tests because the size was too small for any errors with nicotine. Plus I didn't really notice a major difference between with nic or without nic, minus the slight kick and bite from the nic. I'm sure someone with more control would have much less of an issue with this.

IIRC, TFA Sweetener is 10 % sucralose, CAP Super Sweet is 20% sucralose. Meaning if something calls for "sweetener", you can almost bet that it's TFA, and you'd only have to use half of much to get the same effect with CAP Super Sweet.

The only reason I keep it around is because I mix for a couple people who insist on it being in their juice, despite the fact that it destroys coils so quickly.

At some point, you'll want some CAP Sugar Cookie. Other than that, some might recommend a scale rather than syringes. It will definitely pay for itself in terms of time and less stuff to clean.

This seems to be the scale of choice for most mixers.

I believe this is the one I use, cost less than $10. Only drawback is with the 100g capacity, I can't use my beakers, but it works fine for mixing 100mL or less in a plastic bottle.

My scale has a one minute idle shut off, which is a bit of a nuisance, but tap it once at any point and the timer resets.

It absolutely shouldn't shut off while things are happening, that makes it utterly useless :( Get a refund if possible. I use one of these generic designs, even cheaper:

You should ditch that scale anyways, as it doesn't look like it is accurate enough to use to mix.

Seems like the best idea would be to start at 1% distilled water. From just a brief search of "distilled water" in this sub I gathered that you don't need much DW to help max vg with wicking. DW will lower the flash point of the liquid and it's debatable whether or not it helps with flavor. I have never used DW in a mix, but if you search on here for DW, there are quite a few threads with good info.

And FWIW, my mom and my wife's stepmom both preferred just single and double flavor juices over the more complex ones. I don't know why, but just what kept them both vaping. Good luck!

Try steeping it for a few days, the flavor might come out more with time. Haven't tried it myself, but check out the Notes section of the flavor on ELR to see what others have said.

Hangsen's version tasted just like Red Bull though, if you can get your hands on that.

Red Bull to me is mostly artificial raspberry.

to add on, bull city flavors carries the red bull that /u/leapinglabrats mentioned. haven't personally tried it.

I purchased a few sweeteners from NN. Personally I feel like the sweetener in most flavorings is enough in my juice. Here is a Reddit review on their sweeteners

I agree about the "Monk Fruit Extract" it's good in a bakery type vape, it has a spice flavor to it

Eventually you're going to want a scale like this one so you can mix by weight, which is so much easier than messing around with syringes, but that's factored into a usual start-up cost of around $100. If you're eager to hop into DIY and want to take advantage of a good Black Friday deal, you might want to look into this kit, as using the TODAY ONLY Coupon code "HOLIDAYS" will get you close to that $40, and you get free shipping as well. You can get Nicotine (I'd recommend the PG based), PG and VG bases, 10 60ml bottles, and 15 flavors that way, that will at least get you started. Later, again, you'll probably want to invest in a scale, and you'll want more empty bottles, maybe higher quality nicotine if you have any issues with the nicotine base there (I haven't tried it but I know it's not top-of-the-line), and of course, more flavors.

As for the first order flavors, your best bet is going to be looking for recipes that sound good to you and are well-reviewed and buying the stuff to make those. If you're pressed too pressed for time to do that today, at least check out this list of suggested first-order flavors. Also allow me to personally recommend TFA Strawberry Ripe, CAP Vanilla Custard V1, CAP Sugar Cookies V1, TFA Strawberry, TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, TFA Bavarian Cream, TFA Vanilla Swirl, TFA Dragonfruit, FA Fuji, TFA Cheesecake Graham Crust, LA Banana Cream, TFA Marshmallow, and CAP Cinnamon Danish Swirl as the best I can do for versatile first-order flavors without knowing what you're interested in.

Obviously if we knew more about what you enjoy we could suggest some specific recipes or other flavors for you.

The little bubbles are normal and will go away eventually, but they'll return when you shake it again. Always shake anything you use before using it (flavors, nic, and your finished liquids).

/r/ShakeAndVape might have some decent ones, but generally most fruits with a lower % of cream are pretty good SnV.

Post your list here, should get some suggestions. Like whiskey said, generally fruits are good the next day.

Not sure if you're serious but I'll take the bait ;)

Multiply the source strength with the source volume to get the amount of nic you're dealing with, then divide that by the desired strength to get the total volume of juice to make, then just subtract the source volume to see how much PG/VG to add.

For example, if you have 30 ml of 6 mg juice and you want 2 mg:

6 mg * 30 ml = 180 mg of nic

180 / 2 = 90 ml of juice

90 - 30 = 60 ml of PG/VG to add

This will give you 90 ml of 2 mg/ml juice with very diluted flavor.

Hi, Wayne's Bronuts recipe is a good use of the first one. I'll refer to ELR, ATF or our Suggest a recipe for me thread for the other ones.

Bummer, but it does seem fairly weak by FA standards. Yea, Hangsen has some amazing flavors, but at second thought it was some other brand, not Hangsen. I'll get back to you if I remember, it's been two years since I tried it.

If you're rubbing the mods the wrong way you should probably tone it down instead of posting even more.

You should also go ahead and post your response to that message, along with my apology for my tone and a thorough explanation of what I'm trying to accomplish for coming down on you like I did.

EDIT: Might I also add in the fact that you've had at least 3 prior post removals and a temp ban. I don't know how many more warnings you feel you need, but out of nearly 30,000 subscribers, you seem to be the only one currently whining about the rules.
