Okay, so i recently started mixing my own juice and the very first batch of juice was great! After mixing i cleaned everything needle/syringe in a hot tap water bath, no soap. (is that my mistake?)
Then i ran out of juice so i need to mix some more. I cleaned these plastic drip bottles (really nice plastic too, not shitty!) in hot tap water as well, and let them air dry and then re-mix
This line of foamy stuff is in ALL my re-used bottles, it's not like a layer covering the entire top of the juice, just on the sides. In pic nr 2 i've shown the bottle lying down and you can see the foam thing all around as high as the juice goes. It goes away if i shake the bottle, but reappears when i let it sit for a couple of minutes. What did i do wrong?

Can be reside in your water. (minerals, calcium, iron, etc.). Also if you use a water softener it could be salt. I do the same but after they have been cleaned I rinse them with rubbing alcohol. Pour a bit in one bottle, shake it vigorously and pour it into the next bottle, etc. after they have all been rinsed with the alcohol I dump it. Haven't had that issue since.
Ah of course. I think you are spot on with the calcium iron thing. Because the same mix, in a new bottle does not have that ring, so i dont think it's over flavored. I will get some rubbing alcohol and try this. Should i just dump this juice?

When I shake the shit out if my fresh mixes there's tons of tiny bubbles throughout the liquid when I'm done. Then when I let is sit, the bubbles collect at the top and usually make a foamy rim like yours which goes away as the bubbles pop and the air collects at the top of the bottle. I think that's pretty normal but now I'll have to monitor and compare a freshly washed bottle to a never used bottle. If I notice any significant variation I'll try to remember to hit you back. But I always attributed the foam to the tiny bubbles caused by shaking. Are you sure that's not what's happening with your bottle?
The basic cleaning procedure is hot water and soap. Rinse. 70% IPA and let air dry. Last step is important, as you want it sanitized after it's cleaned. To the people saying it's impurities in the water, I seriously doubt that. It's from shaking and I bet they go away after 24 hours. Good luck on your mixing.
If its glass you can rinse with isopropyl alcohol. I boil water and submerge my syringes and bottles, plastic and glass items.
isopropyl alcohol may distort some plastics making them opaque/not see thru.
then I use dry heat to get the moisture out, you can use a microwave as well to dry them.
Do you put the plastics in water as it's boiling or right after it boils? LDPE melts at 105 to 115 °C (221 to 239 °F), was always too scared to put my bottles in boiling water cuz it's so close to the melting point.
No I take it to a slight/boil and let it sit a minute or so,or soon as it simmers give it a minute and dunk. You can pick up a 2 dollar thermometer at your local grocery store. your only looking to get all of the sticky film out and to make sure no flavoring is lingering.
I am not using this as a sterilizing method just a hot rinse after mild cleanse. I am thinking I'm going to try and add my plastics to the dishwasher on dry cycle for shits and giggles

I wanna do the dishwasher thing but guarantee it's hotter than 105°C. Would be soo nice n easy tho.
I use a similar method as you for cleaning my tanks. Take tank apart and put in bowl. Boil water in electric kettle, as soon as it's done I pour it in the bowl. Then fish all the little pieces of my tank out, put in another bowl, pour more water. Then dry it all up and good to go.
Bottles I got lazy with. I just rinse with hot water and try to put the same flavors back in them when I mix.

That "sticky film" is plastic, some concs eat plastic faster than others, heat only makes it worse, plastic bottles are ment for single use.
Source, ten years making plastic bottles, some plastics actually absorb liquid and fall apart, ld/hdpe are a great, cheap, disposable short term solution
I would highly recommend using distilled water to rinse /clean everything In. I didnt have to same issue but had a very harsh taste when I used tap water to clean my stuff. Know every time I mix I get a plastic cup and fill it half way with distilled water to rinse the syringe out with.
