Best place to buy DIY supplies in the UK?
submitted almost 9 years ago by beeruk

I am very keen to start mixing my own but have no idea where to buy the supplies. Who are well respected vendors that will supply quality pg/vg/nic/flavours for a fair price?

I'm in england so will need to be UK based...

I second this. Used vapable forvlast two years but switched to chefs flavours in the last few months. They also sell the u/enyawreklaw concentrates so you don't have to buy millions of concentrates to make the famous mixes.

One thing about ChefFlavours though, I've found some of their flavours have oxidized, I'm uncertain about their storage methods. A few of them have come very very aged (oxidized?). A couple I got that were are CAP Glazed Doughnuts and CAP Cereal 27.

Glazed doughnuts tastes like wax if left for too long or left in a hot environment, tastes much better from Vapable but does descend into that waxiness if I don't use it within a couple of months.

https://www.thechosenfew.eu is where I'd recommend if you're on a budget. Slightly long delivery times (I expect 4-6 days) but cheap as chips.

Nice one thanks. Just had a little look and they are indeed cheaper. Had no bad batches yet from CF but will keep that in mind. I like experimenting with some of the more obscure flavour companies on CF such as solubarome to make some pretty unique juice. That stuff is cheap as chips and if it needs throwing away (some does) its just a case of nothing ventured nothing gained.

Vapour Depot for concentrates

Dark Star for nicotine

Lubrisolve for VG and PG

Amazon for everything else.

First time I've seen someone else mention this place.

Good price there as well.

I use http://thee-cigshop.co.uk but mainly because the warehouse is just down the road from me. I'm not sure how the prices compare to other places because I haven't really used any others. they had the lab reports for their nicotine etc displayed on the wall and from what I can see through the door into the stock room it's really clean. Plus the guys down there are decent, they've always looked after me.

Seconding these guys, I'm nowhere near them and delivery is usually 1-2 days. Prices are good, especially if you're getting slightly higher volume, and they stick some sweets in the package which matters to me way more than it should.

Honestly I hate the sweets thing. I don't really like sweets or know anybody that does (I don't have (or need) many friends) and I feel guilty having to throw them away. Like way more guilty than I should.

Just stick a note on your order to give them to someone else if you feel that bad lol

Vapable carries the best selection imo, has free shipping over £10. Chefs is a close second though. Both are fine for a first order but you will find that not one store stocks every flavour you will want. You will end up using at least vapable, chefs flavours, FA direct and also wizard vapes. Between those four you can usually get anything you need in terms of CAP, TFA, FW, INW, FA and FLV

Cheers yeah I get the feeling it will be like that! Could you explain what those abbreviations are?

CAP... Capella. TFA/TPA... The Flavour apprentice. FA... FlavourArt. INW... Inawera. FW... Flavor West. FLV... Flavorah. Not being an ass but if you haven't got to the point of knowing those already you have got some reading to do before you even think about placing an order. That is if you want to not waste some time and money. Read the info in the side bar, then find a recipe you like before you make an order and then just order those flavours, not just random ones you think you will like, and possibly combine to make something amazing. Copy someone else's, read, then read some more, then come here and ask any specific questions in the New Mixers thread.

Good luck

I got the starter 400ml (200vg 200pg) pack on makemyvape. 25 pounds, free shipping, 3 10ml bottles, 1 50ml, syringes, gloves, 4 flavours.

I'd avoid the nicotine though, it seems very harsh to me, I might be wrong though.

It's a good pack to start, they don't have all the flavours on the market but do have a wide selection. After that you just need to top up on vg pg flavours and nicotine.

thats way more vg/pg than you need for 40ml of flavourings

For flavours please check out The Chosen Few too.

They are not in the UK, but shipping costs are negligible.

Have you ever tried PG/VG/NIC from Vapable and how are their concentrates?

1 points

by Kev-Adamsalmost 9 years agoProud Sidebar Reader!

No I have not tried PG/VG/NIC from vapable and mostly get TPA/CAP/INW concentrates from their, I did try some vapable concentrates, cola, lemonade, cherryade, cherry cola and menthol, they were all quite good.
