Brief Description: Like the name says, this is a Green Tea Kit Kat... Minus those pesky calories.
Ingredients:
Brand | Flavor | % Used -------|-------|-------- TFA/TPA | White Chocolate | 4.5% FE | Green Tea | 0.7% CAP | Sugar Cookie | 1.5% CAP | Vanilla Whipped Cream | 3%
Flavor total: 9.7%
Steep Time: Great as S&V. Best after 2-3 days. None of the flavors really change during a steep, it just allows the green tea to cement itself in all layers of the mix.
Flavor/Development Notes:
Have you ever had a Green Tea Kit Kat? They are made with the usual kit kat wafers, however the frosting between the wafers is mixed with matcha, then its covered in white chocolate mixed with matcha instead of milk chocolate. These things are addicting. Like seriously addicting. After I started mixing, I knew I just HAD to make a vape that tasted like a Green Tea Kit Kat. I had done a bit of research on what’s actually in this amazing masterpiece out of Japan and decided that this couldn't be TOO hard to make a vape of but since I had little experience with tea flavors (aka zero experience), and I wasn't sure where to begin to achieve that right creamy white chocolate, I enlisted the help of u/ID10-T. Together we went through countless iterations. I tried a few different green tea and white chocolate flavors to see which would be the best. Trust me; this was not a fun task when it came to the Green Tea. Too many of them tasted like you bought the shittiest quality tea bag, then proceeded to boil it on the stove for a few hours. It was seriously torture going back and trying them again after a steep. AVOID FA Green Tea and thank me later. Let me tell you a little secret, I bought the wrong green tea when I made the purchase and boy am I glad I did. I accidentally purchased FE green tea instead of TFA. FE green tea is by far the best out there. It's the most underrated; actually it wasn't even rated, of all the teas. It’s why they took it off the market. But don't worry, THIS FLAVOR IS BACK so you better buy that tasty flavor and sub it out in every recipe that calls for green tea. When it came to the white chocolates, I decided on TFA. I tried FW but it has a strong caramel note to me, plus it is very dry and adds harshness when used in this mix. Since the kit kat itself doesn't taste like caramel, FW wasn't going to work. TFA's on the other hand only has 1 flaw, it wasn’t creamy enough. Yes, it was spot on for taste and mouthfeel; it just was missing that melt in your mouth creaminess you expect from chocolate. This is when we worked on figuring out which creams to add to the mix. There were a few we thought about, but it came down to needing something that's light and not overpowering. Bavarian Cream was attempted, but it just really brought out that caramelization note in the white chocolate. Bavarian got the axe. After a bit of discussion with u/ID10-T, we went ahead and mixed up some TFA White Chocolate with CAP Vanilla Whipped Cream. If you have never tried CAP Vanilla Whipped Cream, GO GET IT IMMEDIATELY. Unlike some of the other whipped creams that exist, this one does not taste rancid for the first week. It never tastes rancid. It doesn't even really require a steep actually. Its light and it added exactly what we were looking for to the white chocolate. Next was figuring out the wafer. We considered biscuit, but to be honest, I am not a huge fan of biscuit. I think it takes over a mix too easily and it just wasn't quite right for this. We all know how much u/ID10-T loves CAP Sugar Cookie so I got a wild idea and threw it at him, sugar cookie in a low dose. Once we had the ingredients, it was trial and error on the percentages till it was as close as we could get it. The kit kat itself is slightly sweeter than the mix, but if you want to get the mix to that same level of sweetness, add a touch of sucralose and gunk up dem coils.
White Chocolate (TFA/TPA) 4.5%:
What can I say about this. This is a very important flavor, I mean it's the main note in the real green tea kit kat. This is the base of the mix. It helps tie everything together in all of its white chocolate deliciousness. Yeah it’s not as creamy as I would like it to be, but it's a pretty damn accurate white chocolate. There is just the slightest hint of caramel when mixed for standalone or mixed with other creams that bring it out, but in this mix, you don't detect any caramel which is great. It has excellent mouth feel and really helps bring this mix into an ADV.
Green Tea (FE) 0.7%:
This flavor plays the role of both the matcha in the white chocolate, and the matcha in the frosting between the wafers. A little goes a long way. I did a single flavor sample of this at 2% originally. It tastes like premium loose leaf tea steeped at 195 F for 30-60 seconds. My notes literally say "this is what green tea is supposed to taste like." In the mix, I tried it at 1% and while it was good, it was too strong. No off flavors of any kind, just stronger than the actual green tea in the kit kat. Between 0.625% and 0.725% is the sweet spot. Depends on just how much matcha flavor you are looking for. Go too low and it fades away, too high, while still good, it isn't as close to the actual kit kat.
PSA:
- TFA Green Tea tastes like green tea with a little fresh-cut grass added to it.
- FA Green Tea tastes like green tea with a little fresh-cut ASS added to it.
- FE Green Tea tastes like high-quality fresh brewed matcha green tea with nothing added to it and nothing taken away from it. This flavor cannot be subbed for any of the other lesser flavors.
Vanilla Whipped Cream (CAP) 3%:
This flavor pulls double duty. Not only does it bring out the creaminess of the white chocolate, but it acts as the frosting between the wafers. It’s light and sweet and creamy.
Sugar Cookie (CAP) 1.5%:
This one actually does a bit of double duty too. Not only is it the wafer, but it also adds the extra sweetness needed for the frosting between the wafers. At a low %, it’s subtle, just like the actual wafer in the kit kat.
A special thank you to ECX and those of you who were instrumental in getting Flavor Express Green Tea back on the menu.

Green tea is in the building.

Again, thank you soooo much for bringing FE Green Tea back!!
music is to my ears. not only have I been wanting to try this recipe but I love Ice green tea lattes with whipped cream from starbucks. this might be my ticket there.
I helped with this a little, so I might be a bit biased, but THIS IS ONE OF MY MOST FAVORITE RECIPES EVER.
Special thanks to ECX. They had discontinued this flavor after selling very little of it in the past couple of years, but brought it back after hearing about this recipe.

I'm dying to try this, but can't source vanilla whipped cream from my local vendor. Ugggh. Would vanilla bean ice cream be a suitable replacement? Or Vienna cream?
Edit: saw they have Vienna.
I haven't tried it with either of those. I believe VBIC may be too heavy for it. Vienna may work but it will definitely require steeping. Only have it in a lower % though like maybe 1-1.5%. The vanilla whipped cream is being used to boost the creaminess of the white chocolate and act as the "frosting" between the layers. ECX has CAP VWC though so you can always get it if you still need to pick up the FE Green Tea from them.
Thank you for the info, but I'm in Canada and my local DIY provider is literally a 15 min drive. Waiting for this will drive me up the wall, the recipe looks that good! Thank you for the information, if that's what needs to happen I'll begrudgingly order across the border.
Vanilla bean ice cream would be too custardy/heavy and the vanilla bean far too assertive. Do you already have FE Green Tea? If not, just grab some Vanilla Whipped from ECX when you get that. If you don't you might try replacing the 3% Vanilla Whipped with 1.5% Vienna and a LONG STEEP. What else is available to you cream and vanilla wise? Your best bet might be a neutral cream with just a bit of vanilla.
Thank you for the detailed answer. I do not have green tea yet, but as I stated in the comment above, I'm in Canada. My vendor is suggesting whipped cream? I have some Bavarian cream and sweet cream, both of which are CAP.
You need the FE Green Tea from ECX anyway, might as well get Vanilla Whipped Cream while you're at it. But if you already had GT and just needed a cream substitute I'd say Whipped Cream (if it's TFA's, I've never tried FA's) would be your best bet, again with a long steep. CAP Bavarian (no need for a long steep) would also be a better choice than VBIC or Vienna Cream.
Is flavour express sold by anyone in Europe? I need that green tea!
Flavor Express is not, but ECX does ship to Europe (for a price, and probably a long wait). From what I've heard, it's a re-branding of a Chinese flavor, so it's possible you could get the same flavor in Europe under a different brand name. But which one? I have no idea.
That's interesting to hear as I've just ordered 3 different Chinese company green teas. Maybe I'll get lucky and get a good one.
Are you sure about the chinese company? I once heard that FE Lemon is actually Baker Flavor's Lemon ... so I thought maybe it's the same with the green tea. But yeah could be mixed flavor companys used for the FE line. Anyway I've already ordered BF Green Tea, so hopefully it's good.
FA Fresh Ass, how long is the steep time on that? I'm working on a mud butt recipe so def need to know.
/s I hope that was clear.
No steep required. Fresh Ass flavor is immediate! Mix it with 10% honey and I think it will make a perfect mud butt recipe!
I've been so excited waiting for the green tea to arrive. Got me a big bottle! I ordered some of the kit kats from eBay after seeing this recipe. They were okay....but I could tell that if I had more to eat, they had an addicting possibility. The nice thing was that the seller included 3 raspberry Kit Kats free. Now THEY were something!! I can't wait to try your recipe. I'm sure it's PERFECTION just by the looks of it and all your hard work!!!!
Going to attempt to also make a raspberry kit kat at some point. I think that one will be more difficult to achieve since I already struggle with tasting raspberry flavors. Going to have to find one i can taste that's actually similar to the 2 types of raspberry flavors in that kit kat! i love that its got the sweet and creamy, then the super tangy. Its such an interesting kit kat. Harder to get though here in chinatown.
Do you not get that strange pepper-flavor in TFA White Chocolate? I found it pretty offputting.
I actually don't get it from TFA VBIC, but I do with TFA White Choco. In this recipe though, I don't taste it. I do wonder if using FW White Chocolate would fare better.
I am also in this category ... same exact issue for me .. white chocolate smells fantastic and tastes like black pepper and the vbic same just not as prominent. I'm guessing this is the same as the strawberry non tasting issue for others. Has anyone found a way around this by chance ? Different brand of white chocolate or vbic possibly? Thanks
I love Capella's VBIC and I have heard good things about FW's White Chocolate, but haven't tried it myself yet.
I also find the pepper-note is much reduced in the TFA White chocolate after a few weeks of steeping, but I don't like waiting weeks to vape my creations :D
TFA White Chocolate doesn't contain any of the lipid oxidation products you would expect in anything claiming to be a white chocolate flavor, the only similarity is it has the traditional vanilla notes you probably also have in the cap vanilla whipped cream.
Absolutely INSANE how accurate this is, compared to the real Matcha Kit Kat! You are my hero!
Thanks man or woman :) I will have to pull it back out of the poison my enemies drawer...If only it would taste the way it smells it would be amazing ... id rather this than not be able to taste strawberry though so I guess I'm lucky overall.. and I'll have to pick up the flavor west wc and cap vbic to see if they're better to me ...
ECX Package arrived. After a shake and vape, the base is perfect, vanilla wafer to the max. But I'm finding the green tea to be... Idk.. Dry? Is this something that blends after a few days or would maybe a touch of sweetener help my taste buds? I'm not a sweetener fan typically just first thing I thought of.
I've never actually tried green tea kit kats (although I'd like to), but I've gotta say, this is excellent as a shake and vape. I definitely get the white chocolate and light wafer on the exhale, with the green tea and creaminess as the top note. I did add a touch of marshmallow, which seemed to help with the dryness of the green tea and add a little sweetness.
You did a great job on this, it's an interesting and tasty flavor. Thanks for sharing!
Hey hope you manage to read this,
There are these guys here in my country Malaysia that produce and manufacture their own flavour extracts, and they have two sorts of green tea flavourings. One green tea and another Matcha green tea.
The only difference between them is that the matcha green tea hits the throat harder than the green tea, which one should I use to match your FE Green Tea?
Thanks for replying :)
Try the one with the lower throat hit. FE green tea doesn't have enough much of a throat hit. As long as the green tea doesn't taste like it's a burnt green tea or super grassy, that should work out fine.
After trying this with TFA's Green Tea (which I already had), I ordered FE's Green Tea. Still have to try it but it was delicious with TFA's, can't imagine how good it will be with FE's.
Hoping to find green tea experts here, I ask: considering I use TFA's Green Tea for other recipes (mainly SadPandaVape's Jazzy Boba clone), when I'll finish it... how more concentrated is FE's Green Tea?
For instance, Jazzy Boba calls for 3.5% TFA's Green Tea. Should I go with 1.5% FE's? What do you think?
FE is a bit more concentrated. I would go with around .7%-1% (aim for lower then add slightly more if needed) so it makes it just enough through the creams. Some people are a bit more sensitive to fe green tea and notice it a lot more so if you are one of those people, prob closer to .6%
Wow, thanks a lot for the quick answer and for your awesome recipe!
Congrats on creating this amazing recipe! Not a big fan of green tea but even I enjoy this quite a bit. It's so good that it looks like someone already stole your recipe to make a profit...

I fucking hate e-juice companies.
Unless you bought the same ejuice and tested exclusivegirl's side by side, I think it's premature and presumptuous to lambast a company and call them out?
