First Impressions:
Inawera is notorious for giving vague names to their flavorings. When I picked up Inawera Green Spring Tea at my local vendor, I was intrigued. It has a floral scent (which I couldn't quite put my finger on) and of course, you get the subtle undertones of matcha green tea. I did a quick Google search on my phone and found almost zero results. So I did what any sensible DIY-er would do! I grabbed a 10ml vial for science!
Before I continue, here is what their official website has to say about this flavoring:

Oh, so that's the floral scent I was picking up. Now as you all might know by now, I share a great affinity for green tea. I drink it every morning, and every evening, too. So I'm pretty familiar with pairings. For example, honey gives it a thick sweetness that compliments the earthiness of the tea. Or adding lemon adds a bit of zest and really brightens up the green tea.
So pairing it with something floral and delicate like jasmine should be a no-brainer, right?
Unlike TFA Green Tea, this concentrate is free from any coloring. That means you get less of the dreaded coil charring and that means less coil changing.
Taste:
I'm getting nothing on the first few puffs. Oh ,wait... I think I'm picking up the subtle taste of jasmine. It's a very delicate flavor, preferring to stay in the background and let green tea take the spotlight. But that's the major problem with this flavoring. The green tea is being a shy little bitch.
I was hopeful when I purchased this flavoring. I wanted my taste buds to be swept by the rich, delicate aroma of the jasmine flower. At the same time, the earthiness of the green tea could really serve to keep things grounded (no pun intended), making sure that the jasmine doesn't ever become too perfumey.
Standalone/Mixer:
At 2%, the flavor is mild and lacking. I might consider upping the percentage to 3 or even 4%. I have to say, this flavoring is quite a disappointment considering the majority of INW's flavors are potent.
Pairings
Floral tea (needs to be reinforced with FA Jasmine), maybe green tea jasmine cake, or maybe iced green tea infused with lemon or melon for a nice refreshing vape.
Is it 4oz-worthy?
Nope. It's worth a try but I feel it doesn't deserve a spot in any mixer's arsenal. Nexttttt!
Maybe it needs longer steep too.
Have you tried any good tea flavors that are accurate to the real thing? I've been meaning to delve into tea.
Good point, excellent review and maybe it gets a 2nd chance with a longer steep and a bump in %.
I like to think all flavors deserve a couple of chances, when all else fails I swish my mouth with Dr. Pepper, that's one DR. who knows his flavors.
Yeah I'm not completely disregarding this flavor because it does show promise. I'll revisit it in a few days and see if anything changes. Otherwise I will probably need to increase percentage.
If it's anything like their tobacco flavs then a good long steep might change everything. You got me on a tea binge now, got a bunch I all of a sudden need and didn't realize til now lol.
dude, tea is <3! i used to avoid tea like the plague because I refused to believe it could taste good. But after getting a vial of TFA Green Tea (and using it up almost immediately), I think I've been on a tea binge myself. There's something about the delicate, playful floral-ness that keeps me coming back.
Try FE Green Tea when it's back in stock on ecx. It really is a spot on fresh brewed loose leaf green tea. No off notes I can detect. It's strong tho so even at a low % you will taste it. I tested at 2% and I wouldn't go over that. It's only at 0.7% in the green tea kit kat recipe and it still comes through.
Not seeing FE Green Tea on ECX, did you mean FA by any chance? Am on phone so maybe I'm just dumb.
Dang. The profile sounded lovely. I love green tea and adore Jasmine.
It might just need a higher percentage. I'm gonna hope OP updates the review, because even though I love green tea, it would fill a bit of an obscure niche in my vaping profile for me. I've never really expanded upon the whole tea vape category.
You wouldn't happen to have a recipe of a green tea vape would you? I love some tea but I'm apprehensive in making ejuice for it
Hey, my favourite green tea recipe consists of green tea, eucalyptus, lemon and honey. It's really tasty and particularly effective at clearing sinuses.

No variation in concentration, steep time or method, no variation of vaping conditions or device. Describing a flavour as a shy little bitch but not making any attempt to coax the flavour out is amateur as it gets, might as well have written a review from the sniff of the bottle. All of these similarly conducted and presented flavour reviews should be written off and deleted so as to not pollute the pool of well conducted and objective reviews.
Lol who else does variation in concentration for reviews at the moment? Chris didn't. Neither did Whiskey. Or DIYORDIE. I never knew you had to be "professional" to review flavours. Care to share what constitutes as a professional? Someone prolific like Chris has written tens of hundreds of reviews, but does it with a billion typos and bad grammar (I still love you, chris <3) yet you seem perfectly content with that.
You are so quick to pass judgement at a whim. Yet I have not seen a single recipe or flavor review from you. Ever. What's your credibility? Are you even a DIY mixer?
All you do is come in here every couple of weeks and leave a snide remark. Inawera Green Spring Tea is probably one of the most obscure flavorings out there (go on, do a simple Google search). So what would you rather have? A review that comes up immediately telling you the taste, scent and first impressions when you search? Or risk buying it, find out it's a shitty flavoring, and then throw it out?
It's really simple. If you think you can do a better job, by all means, do it. Do it for the same flavours. We would all be incredibly grateful and I would gladly ask the mods to remove my reviews from the achieve in favour of yours.
Edit: I've also gone on the record as saying that these flavoring reviews are a constant WORK-IN-PROGRESS. It means that I will try my very best to give you an accurate description of what I am tasting but obviously, there will be flaws. Some of them will be revisited, scrapped and relooked at in the future when I do compile the flavoring book that I initially spoke about.
I have to say, you do bring up a few good points. For the different set-up, I refuse to get 50 mods and tanks to try different flavorings nor will I ever. Minimalism is what I practice. Heck, I have 2 mods and 2 tanks (and that's all I'll ever really need). So no, there will be nothing of that sort.
Variation of flavoring concentrates may be something that happens over time along with a gradual steep report. As for the language, I couldn't give two shits. We are all grown adults (or at least, I would like to think everyone on this sub is). If you can't handle a little swearing, you have bigger things in life to worry about.
