SO those of you that build yourself probably know that first hit off your new build tastes like asshole. Well that's because the oils on your skin, which is why I use gloves. Anyways, I made botboy's ultimate crunch berry cereal early this year, and it tasted SO bad. At the time I was still figuring out my mixing style and I did not feel like trying to make other flavors with the few flavors in it that I didn't use, just to figure out what did it. Well flash forward to a few days ago, I made a Twinkie flavor with JF yellow cake, and it was enough to use the rest of my yellow cake, and wanting to add a smidge more of a sweet crunchy bread feel. I literally only added 1 drop/20ml, and fuck this tastes like I got hair in my atty (I have a cat), and I re wicked my RTA and tried the twinkie on the fresh build. Thinking I may just need to let it break in, I got.ented myself by vaping almost a full tank and the taste got worse! I bought this flavor like maybe 10 months ago, I dou t it went bad because I'm positive that this is the same taste that cereal flavor had, just not as pronounced. Has anyone had this with this flavor? For some reason my girlfriend didn't taste anything wrong with it. I do have a stringer sense of taste, and I am weird about some flavors, so it really may just be me. Sorry for the unnecessary wall if text. :)
It's like vaping through a dirty wet sock for me. Burnt hair almost sounds like an improvement. Only FLV flavor that is worse IME is Donut.
FLV Donut is the most vile flavor I've ever tasted. I've said that a hundred times, and I'll likely say it a hundred more. It's so bad that thinking about it raises my blood pressure.
The thing that pisses me off about it is that Flavorah has no excuse for making shitty flavors. They make vaping flavors exclusively so if they tested that one, I'd love to know how it made the cut. And if they're not testing them in mixes... well that just doesn't make sense. All the other companies can fall back on "Well it works great in baking/candy/water, etc." but FLV is made for vaping. What excuse do they have?
No excuse whatsoever. It had to have been rushed through development for August 8th. I can't really imagine someone in their R&D department whipping it up and thinking, "Wow! Nailed it." I can, however, imagine someone thinking, "Meh, it's not fruity and I'm not bleeding from the gums. That'll do!"
I was really hopeful for that flavor because almost everything else I've got from FLV has been good. Both crunch cereal and trix cereal were not good at all to me. The trix flavor was kind of..... moldy with a hint of wet cardboard? I don't even know but it just reminded me of that.
Shake & Vape, FLV Crunch Cereal tastes awesome, give it a steep, like you do with a nice milk-heavy cinnamon toast crunch type recipe, and it's a real disaster.
I did a lazy quick mix with FLV Crunch Cereal + FLV Cranberry and loved it S&V (3% Crunch Cereal + 1.5% Cranberry = spot-on Crunchberries!), Same with FLV Crunch Cereal, FLV Cream & FLV Rich Cinnamon (3% Crunch Cereal, 1% Cream, .25% Rich Cinnamon = tasty Cinnamon Crunch Cereal), but if both sit for more than a week, they're trash.
I don't know why this one steeps so badly, but it totally funks up everything you mix it with. Too bad, too, because it's delicious right away! :-(
Good to know... Won't be getting this. If anybody cares FLV pralines tastes like dried magic mushrooms (only mushrooms I've tried to compare it to)
Ewww, the taste makes me gag, even just thinking about it.
I am super sensitive to strawberry ripe, I get vape tongue, super sweet then sour bitter notes after vaping awhile To the point it just disgusting, I swap to a new vape and after a day or 2 sometimes 3 or 4 and it tastes normal again.
My wife loves Captain Crunch and I made her some with 50/50 and 5% FLV Crunch Cereal. It sat for about a month with regular shaking and she said it isn't good. I just tried it and it does indeed taste horrible.
Funny thing though is that after reading these comments, I can now taste burned hair AND wet socks.
What's a GOOD recipe for Captain Crunch.
My crunchberry recipe is my favorite of anything I've created. It's 10% TFA Berry Crunch and 4 drops of FW Crunch cereal. I usually do 70-80%vg and it tastes delicious. I normally don't go over 5% with most flavors, but it seems to work.
I bought a watermelon flavor that did that it tasted like straight-up burnt hair. For my cereal I use crunch Berry and meringue with a drop of hazelnut. Also adding a drop of lemon or sour round it off perfectly and if you really want to make a treat had some graham cracker to it. My favorite is cinnamon bun and apple pie I believe I put some glazed donut in it too.
Anything I put flv crunch cereal in tastes like wet popcorn to me, even if its a little bit. Not nearly as bad as burning hair, but I don't use it at all.
Sorry, I was thinking CINNAMON crunch cereal. Is this flavor far off, though? Or is it just their crunch cereal masked with sweet & savory cinnamon?
