FLV Pineapple
submitted almost 9 years ago by ConcreteRiver

Setup: Velocity 2 Clone, Dual 15 wrap 3mm Nifethal 70 coils @.18 ohms. 45W power, 480F temp limit. Full Cotton Wicks.

Testing: FLV Pineapple @ 3%, 70/30 VG/PG, Steeped 2 weeks.

Flavor Description: Halfway between a realistic pineapple and a candy pineapple. It's decently tart, and has some of the bright pineapple top notes, but it also has a rich body and a solid sweetness. A solid, pineapple juice type flavor.

Off-flavors: None.

Throat Hit: 5/10, slight throat hit but it's pineapple, so I'd expect that.

Uses: It's pineapple, bruh. I think this versatile enough to be used in fruit mixes and in creamier mixes. The only place where this flavor would need some help would be a baked pineapple taste. It's a little too juicy and bright for pineapple bakeries, and I'd still lean on CAP Golden Pineapple for those.

Pairings: Damn near any fruit or cream. Mints, maybe even tobacco blends. I'd probably stay away from heavy chocolate or really "cooked" bakeries.

Notes: I think this is my new favorite single pineapple concentrate. TFA is super sharp and acidic, CAP Golden Pineapple is too dull and canned. FA Pineapple is apparently some kind of biblical abomination. INW Pineapple is good, and is just a touch brighter than FLV Pineapple but has some light perfumey notes I don't find in FLV. It's also strangely weak for INW and so if you are using 5-6% of the INW, FLV @ 2-3% becomes competitive on cost.

Another excellent review. Thank you! Sounds like I'll have to pick this up for the next time I decide to tackle a pina colada variation.

>FA Pineapple is apparently some kind of biblical abomination.

Basically the 11th plague.

With FA Pineapple? Enjoy your burned rubber, half-digested green onions, and atrocities committed by my ex-wife.

That was the rain of scallions, right?

Mmmmm... when you put it that way it doesn't sound so bad after all. I wouldn't mind a nice rain of scallions, especially if I've got some quality steak and soy sauce handy. Just don't put the damn things in my vape and tell me they're pineapple. Seriously, what the fuck FlavourArt?

Pineapple tobacco you say? *strokes imaginary beard, giggles maniacally, goes on Flavorah website to add pineapple to future order.

So glad to see others who understand the atrocity FA peddles as Pineapple. I've had Pineapple in Italy and it was normal fucking Pineapple so I can't even fathom what they based their flavoring off of. (Not sure why my phone has decided Pineapple must be capitalised... But it's late so fuck it)

This flavor reminds me of the name brand canned pineapple. Like more realistic than the store brand but more artificial than a real pineapple.

I need to seriously revisit this review, but I have to agree. So far my favorite pineapple mix is 1% FLV, 3% INW. It feels like 1% of the FLV is enough of a base while the 3% INW brings in some tartness and realism.

Great Review, I would love to see your accumulation of flavors. Do you have a pic of your supplies /u/ConcreteRiver

They appear to be endless LOL

Nothing fancy. A couple of wall-mounted nail polish racks. I've really only done about 10 reviews so far, I just like to space them out to one a day. Just wanted to contribute on some undocumented Flavorah stuff I ordered.

How close is this to a juicy fruit gum type of pineapple? I am trying to clone a juice that has an amazingly delicious and juicy pineapple top note. Not realistic, not candy, but something in the middle. CAP golden pineapple is close to what I'm looking for but not exactly right.

If you're cloning, I'm guessing this wouldn't be the one they used. I'm not 100% sure, but this was probably one of the August 8th drops and I'm not sure this would have made it into a juice before that deadline. With that said, this is a great juicy pineapple and would probably work really well in that application.

Sounds like your might be trying to cline Medusa? I'd love to get a clone of that but the right pineapple is eluding me

Never tried Medusa, but I could be if it has some amazing pineapple. The juice I'm trying to clone is Juicy Fruit by Fog Machine. I would make this my all day vape but I can't afford it.

The profile is a juicy fruit kind of pineapple, with a possible hint of banana I may have tasted and a touch of koolada. It is mouth party delicious. Bright, bold, sweet, and makes every taste bud in your mouth explode with flavor.

I am on a pineapple mission. Maybe we might be able to compare some notes and if we can't clone both, maybe we can get one of them.

I always thought medusa by Zeus was kind of a pineapple colada but I just found a supposed clone of it. I'm not sure if it's right but I might try it. I'LL be shocked if it's close though
