Standalone/3%
Steep Time:
5 days
First Impressions:
There's not much of a color to it. This looks like a really clean flavor. Flavourart is renowned for producing clean, healthy and accurate flavors. This is certainly no exception.
Hmm, it smells like Wrigley's Spearmint gum! It also kind of reminds me a little of Darlie's Toothpaste (go figure, spearmint is commonly used in these products after all).
Taste:
As expected, it tastes like Wrigley's gum. Again, like FA Peppermint, the mint is very weak, almost nothing like chewing Wrigley's or brushing your teeth. It needs some help in that department with TFA Menthol or another mint to bolster the chilling effect.
There's a pleasant sweetness on tongue but it's never cloying. The mint serves as more of a backnote and it's pretty much non-intrusive.
Standalone/Mixer:
If you're something who likes vaping simple flavorings without much of complexity, this could be your jam. It's a simple, cooling and refreshing vape. There's really not much else to say about it. However, I believe this would shine exceptionally well with a crisp fruit like pear. I will need to play around with it a little more to be sure but do let me know if you have had any success with it!
Pairings
Fruits, chewing gum, maybe some desserts
Is it 4oz-worthy?
Not really, I would just pick up a vial or 30ml bottle and be done with it. This flavoring serves more as an accent and like FA peppermint, it can also add a refreshing touch to your dull mixes.
Recipe:
I got inspired by DB Liquids rendition of a vanilla mint cream. This is my take on that.

If you're looking for a fruit to put with this, I highly recommend Strawberry.
Depending on how you like your strawberry...
FA Spearmint 5% INW Shisha Strawberry 2%
- or -
FA Spearmint 5% TFA Strawberry Ripe 4%
- or -
FA Spearmint 5% TFA Strawberry Ripe 4% INW Shisha Strawberry 0.5%
All equally pleasant yet noticeably different.
FA Vanilla Classic is a tasty addition to any of these too.
Great review, thank you! Do you think it would pair well with melon flavors?
Your flavor notes are spot on for me (had a 5% 50/50 mix here myself).
I'm unsure about Pear (I have TPA Pear, which is very dull as well for me), but I can see it working with more juicy flavors.
Thanks for sharing!
Eh that's odd. I've never heard TPA Pear being described as dull. It's very crisp IMO, Feels like taking a bite of a real juicy pear. A word that comes to mind is quenching. If pear isn't your thing you may want to try it with strawberry. Someone posted a really tasty recipe below.
This is my first DIY and I'm a little disappointed with the result.
I mixed it at 3% standalone 2 days ago (85VG/15PG 4mg Nicotine), gave it a 30 minute Ultrasonic mixing, and tried it today (2 days later), and I can't taste anything, just a kind of burnt taste and a harsh throat hit.
What am I doing wrong? Is it the 5 days steeping? The Ultrasonic mixing? the VG/PG ratio?

That's odd. I've frankly never gotten any of the things you're reporting. If I were you, I would mix another batch sans nicotine and the ultrasonic mixing. Try it fresh and see if you get the same results.
Thanks for the reply. I will give it a few more days steeping and if It's the same harsh no flavor taste I will mix it without nicotine and try it fresh.
You can imagine how it feels when your first ever try with a standalone flavor turns out that bad, glad I found this thread.
Is there a rule of thumb regarding steeping. Like fruits needs X number of days, Tobaccos X number and so on?

Nothing set in stone. Fruits are typically shake and vape. Tobaccos need at least a week or two, otherwise I personally get a chemical taste. Creams and custards are the same (not so much a chemical taste, but more muted).
