Weekly 'Suggest a Recipe for my Flavors' Thread - Week of November 04, 2016
submitted almost 9 years ago by AutoModerator

Got a bunch of flavors but not sure how to make them work together? Post your list here, and our team of semi-professional mixologists will make suggestions for you! If you are impatient and want to do this on your own, here are a couple of good links:

  • /u/daath has a nice website that has this functionality, but you will need to register to make it work. It is not very intuitive but if you work with it you can input your flavors and get a list of recipes that you can make. IMO this is the better site if you have the patience to make it work for you. Edit2: to get this to work, first set up an account. Then add your flavors to the stash (under my page / my flavor stash). hit save. Then go back to the front page and click the link next to the search field, "Search by flavor stash". You can select a couple of your flavors and recipes that have those will pop up.
  • This site has a nice big search button with just what you're looking for.

Happy Mixing!

Well not this particular mix, no. But I have used all of these flavorings over an extensive period of time so I know what their strengths and weaknesses are. If you want the best damn strawberry milk, here it is

Hello,

I currently have the following flavours (still building up a stock):

  • TPA Cotton Candy
  • TPA Key Lime
  • TPA Orange Cream
  • TPA Bavarian Cream
  • TPA Raspberry Sweet
  • TPA Rainbow Sherbet
  • TPA Strawberry (Ripe)
  • TPA Dragon Fruit
  • TPA Banana Cream
  • Revolute - Ethyl Maltol

I'm going to place a new order sometime next week, so any recipes which have 1 or 2 flavours I don't have are also welcome (thinking about some Capella or Inawera flavours, heard good things about them. They can give me inspiration for that next order :).

I prefer really sweet and a bit creamy recipes. I'm not really into baked goods, but willing to give it a try.

Thanks again for everyone's effort.

Ingredients | Percentage :--|:--: TPA Strawberry (Ripe) | 5% TPA Bavarian Cream | 2.5% TPA Banana Cream | 2.5% TPA Cotton Candy | 1% Revolute - Ethyl Maltol | .5%

You can omit the cotton candy I just use it to boost for sweetness You will need atleast 3 days min for cream's to develop and 1-2 weeks for a more balanced flavoring

Ingredients | Percentage :--|:--: TPA Strawberry (Ripe) | 6% TPA Bavarian Cream | 3% TPA Dragon Fruit | 3%

this can be shake and vape and will get tastier as the days go by.

Thank you for these two recipe's, will try them both! Since I am a sweet-tooth, I will probably leave the cotton candy in :P.

Yeah me2 I vape TFA Strawberry (ripe) Between10-15% as a single flavor vape.

If you want to spread n save on your flavors because I don't know how frequently you order. You can bump down

Ingredients | Percentage :--|:--: TPA Strawberry (Ripe) | 4% TPA Bavarian Cream | 2% TPA Banana Cream | 2% TPA Cotton Candy | 1% Revolute - Ethyl Maltol | .5%

Ingredients | Percentage :--|:--: TPA Strawberry (Ripe) | 5% TPA Bavarian Cream | 3% TPA Dragon Fruit | 2%

When you restock def look into FA Meringue and CAP sugar cookie. . Flavorings like those can be used in unlimited recipes and add notes that take things to the next level.

Try:

simple nanaberry cream

TPA Strawberry Ripe - 6%

TPA Dragonfruit - 1%

Steep time: 1 week for creamy properties to shine

Flavor Apprentice: Double Chocolate (clear), Blueberry(wild), DX sweet cream, Energy Drink, Plum, Green Tea (fucking rocks my socks), Mary Jane (surprisingly good in ground meat, not in vape), Rice Crunchies, Red Oak, Strawberry (ripe), Watermelon

Lorann: Cheesecake, Apricot, Blackberry, Sparkling Wine

Something obvious jump out at you? What about a dark contemplative flavor? Or light and happy? Something neat I probably wouldn't have considered? I'm just starting out with all this.

> surprisingly good in ground meat

Hahaha glad you found a use for that dud.

If you love TFA Green Tea, I'd start by exploring how well that mixes with fruit. Try it at 4% with:

  • 3% Blueberry Wild
  • 4% Energy Drink
  • 0.75% Plum
  • 5% Strawberry Ripe
  • 4% Watermelon
  • 1% Apricot
  • 1% Sparkling Wine
  • 2% Blackberry
  • 2% Cheesecake

Some simple 3-ingredient recipes with it that you might like, 4% TFA Green Tea plus:

  • 2% Blueberry Wild and 3% Strawberry Ripe
  • 3% Energy Drink and 1% Sparkling Wine
  • 0.75% Plum and 1% Apricot
  • 4% Strawberry Ripe and 3% Watermelon
  • 2% Blackberry and 2% Blueberry
  • 1% Cheesecake and 3% Strawberry Ripe

Rice Crunchies is another one you could have some fun with. Try it at 4% with:

  • 2% Blueberry Wild
  • 2% Double Chocolate Clear
  • 5% Strawberry Ripe
  • 1% Apricot
  • 1% Blackberry
  • 3% Cheesecake

Or in three-ingredient combos at 4% with:

  • 2% Blueberry Wild + 1% Cheesecake
  • 2% Blueberry Wild + 2% Strawberry Ripe
  • 3% Double Chocolate Clear + 2% Cheesecake
  • 5% Strawberry Ripe + 2% Cheesecake
  • 1% Apricot + 1% Cheesecake
  • 1% Blackberry + 3% Strawberry
  • 1% Blackberry + 2% Blueberry

If you try some of the two-ingredient suggestions and some of the three ingredient suggestions and pick out which ones you like best, I bet you'll come up with a four-ingredient combo of your own that you'll like even more.

Sorry, but I have no idea what to do with TFA Red Oak. Anyone with experience with that one want to chime in here?

thanks! I'm making a few mixes and trying them out from this. So far, very nice. The balance of ingredients is almost as important as the ingredients themselves it seems. The amounts are about half of what I was playing with before.

Awesome. And yes, balance is key.

Try Marzipan all by itself at 3%. Love that stuff. Make sure to smell it first, like sniff the bottle. One of the best smelling concentrates I have.

You liked that Simple Sugar Cookie recipe, right (8% Sugar Cookie, 4% Vanilla Custard)? Try adding 1.5% Marzipan and 0.5% FA Caramel to that.

Also try this recipe, based on one by /u/hblamo: 6% Sugar Cookie, 4% Vanilla Custard, 2% CAP Bavarian Cream, 1% LA Banana Cream, 0.5% TFA Coconut, 1% Marzipan.

And: 4% TFA Banana Nut Bread, 3% LA Banana Cream, 3% Vanilla Custard, 1% Cinnamon Danish Swirl, 1.25% FA Caramel.

And: 5% LA Banana Cream, 2% Cinnamon Danish Swirl, 5% CAP Bavarian Cream, 1% TFA Coconut.

And: 5% TFA Banana Nut Bread, 2% CAP Bavarian Cream, 2% FA Caramel, 3% Sugar Cookie, 2% Graham Cracker Clear, 3% Vanilla Custard.

And: 2% Banana Nut Bread, 2% Bavarian Cream, 3% Sugar Cookie, 1% Graham Cracker Clear, 5% FA Strawberry, 2% TFA Vanilla Swirl.

Killing it! All good suggestions!

You can make sugar cookie into anything. It's one of my favorite pastry flavors.

Tagged you to give credit but also to see if you had some additional ideas. I love this thread. I remember when I was a brand new baby mixer (first six weeks or so) waiting for it to pop up on Friday mornings so I could post my tiny but growing stash and hope some DIY guru would bless me with some suggestions. Some weeks no one did. Those were sad weeks. I like to come here often and make sure nobody else has a sad, suggestionless week.

Bang on with the marzipan I love these stuff to eat and now to vape so good nicely done again ID10-T

Try:

Banana bread

TFA Banana Nut Bread - 8.5%

Capella Sugar Cookie - 3.5%

TFA Banana Foster - 1%

Flavourart Caramel - 1%

TFA Vanilla Swirl - 3%

Flavourart Marzipan (adds graininess) - 0.5%

Total flavoring: 17.5%

The longer it steeps, the better it gets.

Hello, these flavors are my first DIY purchase. I made the mistake of not looking up recipes beforehand. Now whenever I find a recipe that sounds good, it's always missing an ingredient, most commonly Vanilla Bean Ice cream. My first attempt at making a recipe of my own tasted like rancid alcohol and strawberries, and the other one tasted like old socks :(, so I'm not very comfortable making things up anytime soon.

I have tried a couple of successful recipes, but I'm looking for something more complete! Help me find a good mix or two, since it'll be a while since I order more!

If you have a good one in mind but doesnt have an ingredient or two that I'm missing, feel free to share it as well I'll get them with my next order! Edit: added some flavours I forgot I had

TFA: -Marshmallow

-Bavarian Cream

-Blueberry Extra

-Berry Crunch

-DX Gram Cracker

-Vanilla Swirl

-Strawberry Ripe

-Strawberry

-Dragon Fruit

-Peach

-Mango

-Cheescake Graham Crust

-White Chocolate

-Vanilla Custard

-Pancake

-Greek Yogurt

  • Dulce Deleche

  • Vanilla Cupcake

Capella:

-New York Cheescake V2

-Glazed Doughnut

FlavourArt:

-Desert Ship (tobacco)

-Fresh Cream

-Fuji Apple

I also have Ethyl Maltol, Koolada, MTS Vape Wizard, and a Strawberry Shortcake by Flavor West.

Have you already tried either of these:

God Milk

Mother of Dragons' Milk?

Are there any of those flavors that you're especially interested in finding a use for?

2 points

by Michooooalmost 9 years ago

Thanks alot for these links, whenever I searched for a strawberry milkshake there were always things I didn't have!

For specific ingredients in my list, I'd like to find a use for the Glazed doughnut, Pancakes, and the Vanilla Cupcakes. They always taste off, especially the cupcakes.

Also, do any of the ingredients I have work with the Tobacco flavour I got (Desert ship)? I haven't tried any tobacco flavor yet, so I'm not sure what to do with it.

The TFA Berry crunch is also weird, i tried 2 recipes with it and it completely dominated the flavor ( couldn't taste any of the other ingredients except it).

My favorite flavour is hands down the Blueberry, anything I tried with the Blueberry tasted great!

2 points

by ID10-Talmost 9 years ago

I can't stand glazed donut, haven't found a good use for that vanilla cupcake yet, and have never tried pancake or berry crunch. So I'll leave those for someone else to answer.

Also not really a tobacco guy, but I know that flavor and it is very strong you want to use it very gently. Since you like blueberry so much, maybe try 0.5% of it combined with 5% Blueberry?

Also try subbing the Blueberry for the Strawberry or Strawberry ripe (or both in separate batches to see which one is better) in God Milk and/or adding 2% of it to Mother of Dragons' Milk.

TPA Greek Yogurt TPA Marshmallow TPA Lemon TPA Strawberry TPA Blueberry Extra TPA Cheesecake (graham crust) FA Caramel FA Red Touch FW Peach FW Bavarian cream FW French Vanilla CAP Vanilla Custard ( I don't know if it's v1 or v2)

I'm a newbie, I don't own a lot of flavors, I usualy vape fruits, but since it's autumn I'd like to try a bakery stylish e-liquid. Is there any good combination with those that might be good?

1 points

by ID10-Talmost 9 years ago

Try 2% FA Caramel, 3% TFA Cheesecake Graham Crust, 2% FW Bavarian Cream, 1% TFA Marshmallow.

You might also enjoy swapping out that 2% Caramel for 4% FA Red Touch, 4% TFA Blueberry Extra, 3% FW Peach, or 2% FW French Vanilla.

Been mixing for about 5 weeks. Bought 40 flavours, there's only 3 that I haven't used at all, and I can't remember why I bought them. They are:

TPA Acai
TPA Waffle
FA Torrone

The rest of my flavours are here. No strawberry recipes though please, don't think I can taste it that well.
