Feeling Peachy
submitted almost 9 years ago by grant_hatcher

I set out to create something like a rich Custard Apple Pie but not being a huge fan of how the Apple element turned out I started looking at other fruits that would pair well with the flavour profile. It took me a while to nail the balance between the cream, fruits, and pastry but this definitely suits my palate.

Feeling Peachy

Ingredient|% :---|---: Bavarian Cream (TPA)|4 Coconut Extra (TPA)|0.5 Dragonfruit (TPA)|2 Peach (Juicy) (TPA)|6 Pie Crust (TPA)|1 Sweet Strawberry (CAP)|2

Flavor total: 15.5%

Remember to rate it at e-liquid-recipes.com!

Bavarian Cream (TPA)

The Bavarian Cream here is the real star of the show when it comes to the body in this recipe. After several attempts with using CAP Vanilla Custard and the recipe turning out a bit too "eggy", eventually I settled with using Bavarian Cream.

Coconut Extra (TPA)

This was added much later in the recipe. I felt the Bavarian Cream definitely complimented the overall flavour of the recipe but adding a little bit of TPA Coconut Extra gave the cream some extra "weight" which I felt was lacking.

Peach (Juicy) (TPA)

Ah, the fruit that I finally settled on. I don't generally like this flavour too much in any other recipes that I've tried it in. I find that the throat hit is very harsh but at the time I didn't have any other Peach flavours and it ended up working really well here.

Dragonfruit (TPA) and Sweet Strawberry (CAP)

These two really help to sweeten the overall profile. The Dragonfruit really compliments the Peach and helps take away some of the harshnesses that remained.

Pie Crust (TPA)

Hard to say too much about this flavour. It's a very rich Pie Crust with slightly "overdone" undertones which work so well here. It's fairly sweet in itself but stands out at very low percentages. I didn't want the Pie Crust flavour to dominate the profile.

Just got my TFA Juicy Peach in the mail today. I was thinking something creamy like this would be tasty with the peach, and here is a recipe already formulated for me! Missing TFA Pie Crust, but I think I'll live on the edge with CAP Cinnamon Danish Swirl around 0.75% instead and liven it up a bit.

I might use cheesecake Graham crust to replace it

CGC is nothing like pie crust. Pie crust is this super buttery/brown sugary/slightly cinnamon/baked/graham cracker/kinda burnt flavor. If I were gonna try to replace it I'd go with TFA Graham Cracker Clear and another buttery flavor like TFA Butter or CAP Butter Cream. Or possibly even FA Apple Pie with TFA Graham Cracker Clear.

Use FA cookie. I stopped buying pie crust and use FA cookie instead. FA cookie 1.5% TPA brown sugar .5% is a great crust

Try TFA apple pie as well. At low percentages it's a better pie (bakery) taste than TFA pie crust. The apple is drowned out easily.

I think TPA Apple Pie could work well actually. I've only just picked this flavour up myself recently so haven't got too much experience with it.

Sub it 1:1 in this recipe. With all the cream and other fruits it'll bang. Let me know what you think.

You just need something to add a pastry flavour so that might work well. I quite enjoy the "overdone/burnt" flavour that TPA Pie Crust has.

Let me know how it turns out!

It turned out freaking awesome! Thanks for the inspiration. I actually did 4% TFA Juicy Peach and 2% FA White Peach, and subbed CAP Cinnamon Danish Swirl for TFA Pie Crust.

Edit: and shit, I guess I used FW Bav Cream instead of TFA. Potato, potahto

Got everything to make this, think I'm going to mix it up in the next day or two. How's the steep time on this?

The longer the better for the cream to come out but it's not too bad as a shake 'n' vape.

I just can't get tfa jucy peach to work for me, it's the taste of disappointment. How would inw peach or fa peach or white peach hold up?
