Mouthfeel
Heavy on the tongue, light on the nose. Moderately dense but on the heavy side of the scale. I would give it 6 out of 10.
Something of a conundrum, it has a creamy yet dry mouthfeel.
Throat Hit 2/10
Flavor Properties
Cookie butter another interesting offering from the folks at Flavor West. The flavor almost breaks into two separate categories, very good cookie, a little dry. There's definitely a malty aspect to the cookie flavoring like a graham cracker.
The butter flavoring doesn't taste like a realistic butter. It's more of a cream or marshmallow flavor with a hint of nut, I'm thinking hazelnut.
Relatable Flavors
I would relate this to a cookie milkshake without the extra sweetness or vanilla.
Position In The Recipe
Flavoring should work well sitting in the background as a base note bumping up other bakery flavors. Could also see it being used as an accent to give some nutty malty qualities to a recipe.
Off Flavors
There is a very perceptible aftertaste as a single flavor mix. The malty nutty flavor sticks around for a little longer than I was expecting.
Pairings
Bakeries, cream, vanilla, candies such as marshmallow and caramel, chocolates, cereals, perhaps spice flavorings such as cardamom and cinnamon. Might even pair well with mint or tobacco although these are two I typically don't play around with.
Notes
Overall I feel this is a unique flavor is not bad, but I'm not sure how useful it's going to be.
I picked this flavoring up on my hunt for the perfect shortbread cookie recipe. I worked with it in several different recipes trying to make a Samoan Girl Scout cookie and as far as that goes it's not what I'm looking for. The search for a delicious buttery shortbread cookie continues.

I think this is supposed to taste like Trader Joe's Cookie Butter and if that it's the case, it's an EPIC FAIL. Tastes like bitter, burnt cookies to me.
Jeezus, real cookie butter is incredible
It's super addictive orgasmic drug butter that tastes like a handful of sexy gingerbread people having an orgy in your mouth on a bed of uncut cocaine and cumming gooey Christmas mornings and sugar-crusted rainbows all over the place. The first time you try it, it's like getting your virginity back and then losing it again, but to Marilyn Monroe while she's singing happy birthday to you, because you're the fucking president. Cookie Butter makes me doubt my atheism because it's the strongest evidence I've seen that there is a god and he or she loves us.
edit: Just to be clear, that's actual Trader Joe's Cookie Butter that is so good it will ruin your life. Not this nasty Flavor West stuff.
Yes, to all of that. There's so much you can do with it but I get overwhelmed and just start eating it by the mouthful.
Also, trader joes cookie butter is literally the same thing as cookie butter from Kroger. Same brand, same ingredients, etc just different packaging and about half the price. Damn I'm making a stop on my way home from work
I've never had Trader Joe's cookie butter, so I couldn't say not playing around with this flavoring I found a little marshmallow and cream really helps get rid of that off sort of burnt aftertaste.
> I've never had Trader Joe's cookie butter
Don't do it!!! It's so good, it will ruin your life. If you feel the urge to try something new, you'd be better off sampling crack or meth.
I've tried everything with this flavor and I give up. It's just horrible. It's so dark and heavy it destroys everything at even 2%. I find this with a number of FW dessert flavors. Bananas Foster tastes like rotten bananas and their Banana Bread was much like Cookie Butter; so heavy and dark it's just horrible. FW makes some great flavors but these are a disaster.
I've heard that this is another one of those coil gunkers. Have you noticed this?
First few hits was delicious chocolate chip cookie then it gunked up my coils so bad and gave a burnt ash taste was super happy then got super disappointed. I used at 4% with sugar cookie some inw milk choco bx some sucralose
