So like any fall-crazed white girl, I absolutely fucking LOVE pumpkin. I've seen a few pumpkin juices out there but none that were specifically a pumpkin spice latte, so I set out to make one. Helps me to pretend that it's actually fall outside as opposed to the 82 degree weather we're currently having right now.
FA Cinnamon Ceylon 0.5%
FA Cream Fresh 2%
CAP Sweet Cream 1%
FA Dark Bean 1%
FA Madagascar (Vanilla Classic) 1%
HS Pumpkin Pie 10%
TPA Holiday Spice 0.5%
I normally don't mix recipes over 10% total flavoring, preferring to stay within 7-8%, but HS Pumpkin Pie is a mellow flavor that really needs to be stepped up to shine at the forefront. It's definitely more pumpkin than spice, so Holiday Spice and Ceylon come in to bring the cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. Cream Fresh and Sweet Cream bring the body and mouthfeel of freshly steamed whole milk and Vanilla Classic adds just a touch of extra sweetness without overpowering everything else. Dark Bean is, well, Dark Bean, delicious espresso flavor that is perfect for rounding out our latte.
While I haven't played around with the ratios past finding out just how much Pumpkin Pie I needed, I'd imagine you could be fairly flexible with this recipe- if you don't have much of a sweet tooth you could probably dial down the Vanilla Classic to 0.5 to bring the coffee flavor out more; or in the opposite direction some Whipped Cream and Marshmallow can make your latte extra froofy.
Despite having two different creams in the base, I find this is pretty damn great as a shake-and-vape. The pumpkin starts fading ever so slightly into the background after about two days and the spices mute a little as well. All in all it definitely scratches that "omg fallll" itch for me.
Now get your yoga pants on and get to vaping! :D

Great recipe!
I hope you don't mind if I share mine too. The sweetener is optional but I like pumpkins lattes a tad sweeter. Plus it helps negate the spices from FW pumpkin
FW Pumpkin Spice - 2%
FA Fresh Cream - 1%
TFA Vanilla Swirl - 3%
TFA Sweet Cream - 2%
FA Cappuccino - 1%
TFA Sucralose - 1%
Mmmm, that looks good! I have everything except the FW and the Cappuccino, might grab those in my BCF order today.
edit: BCF doesn't carry the FW Pumpkin Spice! Dangit.
How does the Hangsen pumpkin pie compare to other brands if youve tried them? I've been dying for a solid pumpkin but what I've tried is waaaay to heavy on the spice for me. I'm a pumpkin fiend as well and in the 3 years I've been mixing, have always yearned to have that itch scratched as well. Also, whats the longest you've let this steep? Curious how much the pumpkin fades over longer then a few days....
Recipe looks good btw, thanks for posting! Will give it a go once I order the HS pumpkin pie.
I haven't tried any other pumpkins honestly. I wanted to get LA Pumpkin for this originally but BCF doesn't carry it, and from what I'd read from other people who used TFA/Cap etc it seemed like those were as you said- less pumpkin and more spice. I like spice, but I didn't want it to be the main note here. Plus I really like Holiday Spice when used sparingly, we make a spiced peach custard with it that is simply divine.
The longest I've been able to make a bottle last is about a week, and I don't recall any significant muting to the point where it stops tasting completely like itself. I made a 50 of it 2 days ago, and once I get flavor burnout I'll set it aside for a bit and revisit it to see if anything changes further.
If you're ordering the Pumpkin Pie don't forget about BCF's 15% off sale tomorrow :)
I don't have Ceylon, but a lot of people just use a couple drops of FLV Rich Cinnamon, you think that will be sub-able here? I'm gonna order the stuff for this because I've been wanting to get a pumpkin flavor but all the older recipes I can't find the concentrates for. I'd rather not have another cinnamon in my stash though.
I honestly don't know because I haven't tried Rich Cinnamon (I want to but that price tag, eeeesh). Ceylon is a pretty subtle cinnamon so if Rich Cinnamon is as potent as I've read I might go one drop per 20ml? I'm sure it'd be tasty regardless.
Yeah I'll either make a dilution of it or just use like one drop. It's strong to where 2 drops will make a normal mix into cinnamon. Or I'm thinking like 1% Cinnamon Danish Swirl if it's too much.
So i whipped up a few batches, and I just can't stand having FA Dark Bean in anything, it just completely takes over and tastes weird to me. So I tried 2 drops and that still was too much. I did one without it and it's pretty good, just...odd.
The pumpkin pie flavoring is definitely the culprit, I wish I could describe it but it feels just like essence of pumpkin or something. The pumpkin is there, but I really feel like this flavoring is lacking depth in a big way.
I used just 1 drop of Rich Cinnamon and I feel like that was enough.
On a side note my room smells amazing like pumpkin spice, just wish the taste was as good. I'll give it a few days though to round out and see how it is. I'll probably just reply to this comment.
I'm gonna order stuff for this recipe, but have to order from a few different vendors.
Ok so the pumpkin definitely mellowed out, but it also got a bit rounder and more full. It tastes a lot more like I would expect it to. The one with dark bean, I still can't do it with this flavor. It's just got that weird chocolate rice cake taste to it, not enough coffee.
